UNHEALTHY DECISION. International Women's Association (Fiji) that has done so much to improve the conditions at CWM hospital with donations and vital equipment gets letter from Health Ministry: 'We kicking you out'

17/4/2024

Fijileaks: As the inexperienced Minister for Health, Dr Antonio Lalabalavu (right), tries to kick out the IWA Fiji, and the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection LYNDA TABUYA takes 'weed' and 'bonks' another Cabinet Minister in Room 233 in Melbourne, we condemn the childish treatment of IWA (Fiji)

"As a dedicated organization that has contributed significantly to the hospital's development, we are shocked that such measures are being taken against us. We have worked tirelessly to assist the hospital and have made significant transformations, including the CWM Oncology Ward, Raiwaqa Health Centre, CWM Maternity and Children's Hospitals, CWM Operating Theatre Training Rooms, IWA-Wellness Centre, St Giles Hospital, and more. Last month we remitted F$100,000+ to New Zealand for a brand-new Echocardiogram machine for the CWM Children's Hospital, without any expectations or demands in return.
Instead of gratitude, we have received a letter informing us that the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services has approved measures to restrict our involvement with the CWM Hospital."

A letter from the International Women's Association (IWA) Fiji to the Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji

"We are writing to express our concern and disappointment regarding the attempt to have the International Women's Association (IWA) Fiji kicked out of CWM Hospital (again).

As a dedicated organization that has contributed significantly to the hospital's development, we are shocked that such measures are being taken against us.

Instead of gratitude, we have received a letter informing us that the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services has approved measures to restrict our involvement with the CWM Hospital.

These measures include CWM Hospital not engaging with IWA for any project, putting any current project on hold, and not using the name of CWM Hospital for any fundraising drive. For the record, we have not used the hospital's name to fundraise, and have had a very successful fundraiser as we are a trusted organization whose work is visible and transparent and our donors can see where we've spent our money!

You refused IWA's offer to replace the CWM Children's Hospital lift because you "have the funds". You've had the funds since August last year but we're pleased that your team at the CWM Hospital has promised that the children should have their new lift working in the next 3 months.

The CWM Medical Superintendent, Dr. Luke Nasedra, has written to International Women's Association (IWA) Fiji today and acknowledged receipt of the document required (why couldn't they have picked up the phone and called me?) and agreed to allow our team to do proceed with the scoping for our major project which is the planned upgrades to the CWM Maternity Hospital's Ante-Natal Clinic. However, the mention of a "donor policy and fundraising document" being prepared by the Board of Visitors (BOV) raises questions about its intentions and whether it's attempting to restrict support from organizations like ours.

We would like to know the role of the BOV in preparing such a document for the Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji and whether it aims to limit our assistance.

The BOV's role is to ensure the hospital's maintenance, repair, and beautification and equip it with the necessary technology to provide high-quality care. The current state of the hospital raises questions about the BOV's effectiveness in fulfilling its duties. We request a review of the current BOV of the CWMH as there is no way they have the maintenance and repair of the hospital under control.

We also formally request you review all contractors and their TOR for contracts at the CWM Hospital. Cleaning contractors, laundry contracts, maintenance contractors, etc. If you wish to scrutinize the International Women's Association (IWA) Fiji who are volunteers, then we expect you to pay more attention to those who are paid for by taxpayers. We have invested heavily in the hospital and have raised our concerns on the state of the bathrooms (especially), the cleanliness and hygiene standards and sadly these have been ignored.

We have a choice to assist elsewhere and stay out of your hospitals if this is how you will treat us. It's taken us five years to get back into the Hospital, and the first thing we did was renovate the CWM Maternity Hospital bathrooms which the last Government stopped us from doing in 2018. Ironically, the current Permanent Secretary for Health, Dr Jemesa Tudravu was the Medical Superintendant of the CWM Hospital at that time, so I am shocked that he would agree to sign off on this letter this week knowing very well the stress and anxiety that it had caused to many of us.

We anticipated that the change in the Government Fiji Government would have leaders who appreciate those who selflessly dedicate their time and energy. We expected that you would welcome all the support that you could get to allow progress. How wrong we were to assume this.

It's time to rid the Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji of its rot and embrace kindness and gratitude for the people and organizations that work tirelessly to improve the healthcare system.
Sincerely,

2015, QILIHO Precedent. Now, Ben Naliva has been relieved of position as Deputy Commander, Australian 7th Brigade, and will be attached to Australian Defence College, Naliva's victims must call for his SACKING

The former Foreign Minister JULIE BISHOP, who is now Chancellor, Australian National University in Canberra, the late Professor Brij Lal's university, should get Ben Naliva kicked out of the Australian Defence College.
*In 2015, she prevented Qiliho from taking up study at ADC.

*The late Professor Brij Lal wrote to the then Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and got her to cancel Qiliho's scholarship to study at the Australian Defence College for one year.
*She should do same against master torturer Ben Naliva

*Thanks, Victor. I had not seen this news item [Qiliho going up to the Royal Defence Academy in London]. It is shocking.
*When he was slated to come to Australia, I wrote to Julie Bishop and he was refused a visa to study here. Qiliho was a Bainimarama protege who was groomed to succeed him.
*He was his chief enforcer, assisted by Ben Naliva and Asaeri [Aseri] Rokoura, both vicious thugs.
*Qiliho interrogated me at QEB. He covered my face with his spitting and slapped me around to the point of breaking my gkasses, He told me that if I did not leave by the first flight the next day, my family would have to fetch my body from the morgue.

Picture

*He led a group of arsonists to burn down Justice Gordon Ward's Deuba villa. There are stories around of him stomping on the bodies of women taken to the camp for their various protests. It is deeply saddening to see him being welcomed in London. After the Canberra hiccup, he will now realize his ambition. Such are the ways of the world. Keep safe in these strange times, my friend.
Yours, Brij.

There’s nothing to prove that Colonel Penioni Naliva was involved in a number of human rights violations, says Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Force (RFMF), Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai.

Maj-Gen Kalouniwai said these were just allegations. His comments come after there was a public outcry of the appointment of Colonel Naliva as deputy commander of the Australian Army’s 7th Brigade.

“These allegations of human rights violations and torture surfaced after a post on social media,” he said.

In an interview with this newspaper, Maj-Gen Kalouniwai said these allegations were causing unnecessary pressure.

“I will not divulge further information on this,” he said.

When asked on his thoughts of Colonel Naliva’s appointment as deputy commander, he said the RFMF put him there.

“He is not going to be there for good,” he said.

He was officially announced as deputy commander of the Australian Army’s 7th Brigade on January 25.

The Seventh Brigade – Australian Army, on a Facebook post, said the international military partnership was planned for a long time, and it was brilliant to see it begin.

The RFMF, while sharing the post on Facebook congratulated Colonel Naliva on taking up his new post as deputy commander of the Australian Army 7th Brigade.

*Now, Rabuka says Leung is no longer interested in the substantive position of Supervisor of Elections. He is embarrassed by the fact that his name was bandied about as the next Election Supervisor.
*But did Malimali consult Leung before she submitted his name to the COC Interview Panel?
*Did he attend the interview, and was not selected?
*Was there a faustian pact between the two for the SoE job?

*He shouldn't be embarrassed. He and Malimali are butt of joke in Fiji

BILL SENT OVER BAU WATERS. Ratu Epenisa Seru Cakobau offered to host the re-constituted Great Council of Chiefs meeting. Coalition, Chiefs and Provincial Delegates burdened him with a $25,716.35 WATER BILL

12/4/2024

*Water Authority of Fiji disconnected water supply to the island, and has now re-connected it with conditions. Luckily, Bau island has not been re-possessed to settle the whopping water bill.

*His ancestor had to surrender Fiji to Great Britain in 1874 to pay debts to America.

Picture

*Thankfully, Bau didn't owe that money to the Chinese, for otherwise, the Chinese would have grabbed the island and set up a naval base.

*Regarding the Chinese, we will publish the Great Council of Chiefs' visit to China, funded by the Chinese government.

*Ratu Epenisa Cakobau was among the delegates.

1982: The late Queen and Ratu Sir George Cakobau on Bau Island

Fijileaks: We understood that, given Ratu Sir George Cakobau's sterling service to Fiji, successive governments had granted Bau Island an accessible free water supply beginning on 10 October 1970.

Picture
Minister for Public Works and Infrastructure, Ro Filipe Tuisawau, confirms that the water supply to Ratu Epenisa Cakobau’s residence in Bau has been reconnected. This follows an arrangement for periodic payment made by Ratu Epenisa, addressing concerns raised on social media regarding an overdue amount that led to the disconnection. Ro Filipe states that the payment plan utilized can be accessed by anyone, provided they make an arrangement with the Water Authority of Fiji.

“Yes, my understanding is that an assessment is being made on that, because some of the arrangements, we had made arrangements too with those with excessive bills for a periodic or payment plan, so that’s one of the assessments. But I think the water has been reconnected, but on the understanding that there will be a repayment plan in terms of that water.”

The Minister highlights that the government also has its dues to pay for the water used during the Great Council of Chief meeting in Bau, and discussion on this matter is still ongoing. Source: FBC News, 8 April 2024

TUBA (OUT). While Selina Kuruleca is away, the Deputy Secretary for Education Timoci Bure (left photo) is Acting PS.
*It is alleged that he has been instructed to remove those perceived to have been loyal to former Education Minister Radrodro.
*Under Bure's watch he has now demoted acting Director, Curriculum Development Unit, Iowane Ponipate Tiko, to return to teaching in a school in Suva.

Picture

*Two other veteran educationists and former MPs, Mikaele Leawere and Losena Salabula, are also being victimized and are to be removed despite the two coming up with the whole Education summit idea and planned it from start to finish.
*It is also alleged that while on the trip, Kuruleca also attended the Lomaiviti Day with her relatives in the United States.
*We understand that the former Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has expressed his strong objection to acting Education Minister Bill Gavoka over the treatment of those appointed under his previous Ministership, with Gavoka promising to look into the matter.
*It is alleged that given the strong personal family ties with Kuruleca, the PSC chairman Luke Rokovada is favouring Kuruleca.
Welcome to the new Kilavata taralala, Fiji.

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Barbara Malimali has confirmed, that the letter that she had written to the Constitutional Offices Commission, was not to remove Ana Mataiciwa from her position as the Acting-Supervisor of Elections.

This comes after it was alleged that a letter from Malimali was hand-delivered to the Constitutional Offices Commission last Tuesday, requesting that Mataiciwa be replaced by a former chairman of the Electoral Commission, as the substantive Supervisor of Elections.

FROM RABUKA WITH LOVE. The personal letter Rabuka delivered to the 'bonking and drug' Minister for Women and Children Lynda Tabuya must be made public. He claimed she remains Minister and matter is CLOSED

9/4/2024

Picture
Picture
Picture

On reading his comments to the media, the people are entitled to ask why did Rabuka personally deliver the letter?
*And why is the letter confidential? Rabuka had confirmed to the media that he had personally delivered the letter which he said Lynda Tabuya, as Minister for Women and Children is privy to, and that he will not comment any further.
*The public has a right to know, since Tabuya is a public office holder, and Rabuka as Prime Minister is accountable to the public on his Minister's scandalous sex and illicit drug fuelled affair with another Cabinet Minister while on an official overseas trip, so he should inform the public the content of the letter.
*The way Rabuka is behaving (cheered on by Shamima Ali and other shameless women supporters of Tabuya), its like he is accountable to the Minister Tabuya.
*Its becoming a big joke because he himself and Tabuya have successfully reduced themselves to being 'a big joke' as they both ardently lie to the public, thinking they can fool the public.
*But no one is fooled. Contrary to what Rabuka and his Minister for Women think or wish, this matter will not go away and they have only themselves to blame for the severe backlash on both their reputation (or what is left of it).
Meanwhile, as Rabuka shows off his muscles, Tabuya is back, taking to the waves, as if she is once again the 'Queen of the High Seas'. Both posted photos of themselves on the same day - mere coincidence?
