GAUNAVOU INVESTMENTS LTD chairman John Sanday says as a public company, Board was entitled to Remuneration. We say to Sanday: Have you repaid your debt to collapsed NBF? Rabuka was behind Gaunavou

The Gaunavou Investments Company Ltd, incorporated as a public company, was set up on 13 January 1993 by the Suva City Fijian Urban Constituency branch of the ruling SVT 'with the positive intention to start and promote indigenous Fijian enterprise and business activities'. Amongst the shareholders were Sitiveni Rabuka, John Sanday and the late SVT and SDL Minister Jonetani Kaukimoce. In the 2008 Report filed with the Registrar of Companies accountant Sepeti Tagilala was listed as company secretary. Last week he was one of the panelists who interviewed Rabuka, Gavoka and others for position of SODELPA leader

In 2010 and 2013 we asked John Sanday if he cleared his $131,776 he borrowed from the collapsed NFP. No reply.

In the guise of affirmative action for the poor i-taukei, the elite Fijians,
the Rotumans, the Part-Europeans and Indo-Fijians with political connections or capital, saw the NBF as a ‘milking cash machine'.

In 1987 the management of the National Bank of Fiji was abruptly changed. The
Chief Executive was replaced. In 1996, the late Savenaca Siwatibau had noted, 'His position was filled by a person who had run a small branch and did not have the breadth of knowledge, experience and management expertise required to run the whole bank'. That man was the Rotuman VISANTI MAKRAVA. As Rabuka's official biographer John Sharpham noted: "Rabuka had appointed Visanti Makrava in December 1987, at the point of a gun. Makrava entered the NBF headquarters in Suva with a group of soldiers saying he had been appointed by the Brigadier, as Rabuka was then. At the time Makrava was manager of the NBF's Samabula branch where the army did its banking...The other link Rabuka had with the bank was through his friend and former army commander, Paul Manueli, who had become NBF chairman in January 1988. He was to stay in that position until June 1992 when he left to become Rabuka's Minister of Finance...Makrava certainly did Rabuka no favours when he was reported to have said, "If I open my mouth, half the Government goes, including the leader.".
When the NBF collapsed, we found out that the RFMF Officers Mess, that did its banking at the Samabula branch, owed the NBF a staggering $835,307. MAKRAVA himself owed his very NBF: $888,827. In 1999, Rabuka and the NBF debtors disappeared into the sunset. Rabuka went and became chairman of the much venerated GREAT COUNCIL OF CHIEFS - Chief of the Chiefs. Sadly, many high ranking and junior chiefs were on the debtors list, including Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, T/A Lomaloma Resort, owing $180,784; army commander Brigadier Ratu Epeli Ganilau, $631,594; and Rabuka Government Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuobola, $193,951. Many hardcore i-Taukei Movement leaders, including the Methodist Church, also looted the National Bank of Fiji

RATU FILIMONE RALOGAIVAU, Rabuka's Interim Education Minister who had deserted the Bavadra Government as its Minister for Fijian Affairs, owed the collapsed NBF, $166,766. He is the father of Veronica Malani, who has filed a criminal complaint against Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum, over the 1987 bombings

CHASING RABUKA'S NBF DEBTORS:
* Thanks to our Founding Editor-in-Chief's blessed photographic memory, now and then we are able to recapture those on the run who had vanished with their NBF debts after coupist Sitiveni Rabuka ran the NBF to the ground. Ten years ago, our Founding Editor-in-Chief revealed, like the present FFP Donors, the
Who Was Who on the NBF's Debtor List. He had on him not only the Debtors List but records of debtor companies, their directors, and shareholders
* Last week, the Fiji Sun relayed the lyrical praise of the [Gaunavou] company by its present Board chairman John Sanday. 'As a public company, this is a matter that comes down to profits and accountability. But given the time, money and effort each of us have put in to the take the company forward and further shareholder interests, it’s only fair that some remuneration be considered. Because of cash constraints, its up to the shareholders to decide whether to remunerate us with cash, or shares in the company.”
* The paper also noted that Gaunavou was formed in 1993. What it omitted to mention was that Sitiveni Rabuka was involved with the company.
A World Bank investigation into the NBF concluded that some  people borrowed without the intention to repay their loans.
* Was John Sanday one of them? Its over ten years now, and we are still waiting to hear from John Sanday

Board remuneration topped discussions at Gaunavou Investments annual general meeting in Suva yesterday. It followed the company’s announcement of its second consecutive year of profit, under the new management that was appointed last year.

Board member, Ratu Deve Toganivalu, said the board had taken the company to new heights of positive growth in a short span of time, given the track record of previous administrations. “The debts are all finally cleared,” he said.

“We took on the challenge at no additional expense to the company, at a time when the company had no means of affording our remunretation” Board chairman, John Sanday, said as a public company, the board was entitled to remuneration. “Remuneration wasn’t an issue for us when we took office,” he said. “We were caught up with other things , [sic]hat we oversaw this.

“As a public company, this is a matter that comes down to profits and accountability. “But given the time, money and effort each of us have put in to the take the company forward and further shareholder interests, it’s only fair that some remuneration be considered. “Because of cash constraints, its up to the shareholders to decide whether to remunerate us with cash, or shares in the company.”

The Sanday-led board, which include Rafaele Kasibulu and Ratu Timoci Taniela, took over the reigns in 2018, lifting the company from financial doldrums to a $5 million profit in its first year in office.

Board members have a $150 sitting allowance.

Profits and dividends

The overall profits to date stand at $8.3 million. The company, established as a public entity in 1993, record a profit of $273, 956 in 2019, against $4.2 million in 2018.

The board suggested its shareholders reinvest dividends in the company in the interest of expanding the company’s investments into other sectors. Mr Sanday said close to half the shareholders owned small quantities of shares in the company. Gaunavou Investment has just over 500 shareholders. “If there was a dividend payout, most of them would be getting 60 cents.” The company’s last dividend payout was in 2014, following the sale of Valelevu property.

The board also recommended retaining its $300,000- land investment at Legalega, Nadi, as the market value of the property had increased with the high-end development surrouding the vacant lot. Discussions at the annual general meeting at Rewa Street, Suva, explored the prospects of investting in:
■ the stock market,
■ opening the shareholding policy to include interested parties who were not registered in the Vola ni Kawa Bula, and
■agriculture, by taking advantage of the number of farms that were advertised for sale.

Recommendation
The meeting called for:
■ a remuneration policy,
■ a special general meeting in the coming three months for an update on pivotal development ideas,
■ a strategic development plan,
■ a change to the vision and mission statements of the company as it did not reflect the true intent of the organisation, and the adoption of a dividend policy. About 15 people attended the meeting. Source: Fiji Sun

CORRECTIVE on 1987 BOMBINGS: Media and its overseas counterparts need to inform readers that Aiyaz Khaiyum didn't provide a STATEMENT on the BOMBINGS but on allegations from Kishore Kumar on porn video

AS for VERONICA MALANI, she MUST stop releasing her POLICE statements through other 'friends' on FACEBOOK. We urge her to fight her fraud charge in COURT and stop trying to link it with 1987 Bombings
She will have her DAY IN COURT to defend the fraud charge. She is coming across as a 'Sobbing Joan of Arc' trying to convince us that she is only facing Court because of what happened thirty odd years ago. If we are correct, she was already charged and only afterwards filed a complaint about the 1987 bombings. Police need to be given the benefit, for they have to dig up the 1987 files etc. We, at Fijileaks, are increasingly losing patience with her and we are sure the public at large will soon. The family waited for 33 years - now what is the HURRY?
WE REPEAT: Aiyaz Khaiyum must step aside for free and fair probe

INTERNATIONAL MEDIA Spotlight on Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and 1987 Bombings. Sitiveni RABUKA, the Racist and Coupist who triggered the bombings, is being feted with TABUA as if he is still God's Chosen One

Ironically, many of his victims, notably the politicians from 1987 in whose cause the bombings and other civil resistance were carried out, are today in bed with Rabuka, or are sucking up to form political alliances with him. We have argued, and will continue to argue, its Rabuka who laid the foundation for coups. He should be in PRISON or should have been HANGED for TREASON. Instead, he gave himself IMMUNITY. In 1988, when he tried to extradite Mohammed Rafique Kahan who had shipped tons of weapons into Fiji, the British Court refused to extradite Kahan on the grounds that he would not get a free and fair trial in Rabuka's Fiji. Kahan's lawyer told the Court in London that it was quite extraordinary that a TRAITOR pardoned by Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau, a man who himself had repudiated his oath to the Queen, should be seeking extradition. It was an affront to JUSTICE. Sitiveni Rabuka had deposed the then army commander Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and later he was sent to London as Fiji's High Commissioner. Later, Nailatikau became Speaker, President and now he is back as Speaker. Kahan was remanded in London's high-secure Brixton Prison awaiting extradition to Fiji. In the Visitor's Book was the name of one of his three visitors - Ratu Epeli Nailatikau. He had visited Kahan not once but three times. Kahan later claimed that first Nailatikau had come to see what he would say, then to dissuade him from talking. We have never come around to verifying the claim.

Fijileaks: Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum had not gone to the Police to give a statement in the Malani case. He provided a statement on Kishore Kumar who was thinly implying on his Facebook that it was Khaiyum who gave him the so-called porn video. But Kumar kept changing his story.

RABUKA IS ALL ABOUT RABUKA: In 1987, Rabuka released from prison hardcore criminals to march on to Government House to force deposed Prime Minister Dr Timoci Bavadra to accept his COUP. We say GROW UP

28/11/2020

The moment we saw SODELPA Youth Group presenting him a TABUA we concluded it was a grave mistake. For what, carrying out 1987 COUPS? Any loss of votes from his supporters will be compensated by Viliame Gavoka's i-Taukei votes from the Western Division who have never forgiven this COUPIST for overthrowing Dr Timoci Bavadra in 1987.
Also,
it will be the non-i Taukei voters who will decide the NEXT GOVERNMENT. If NFP is shrewd enough, all it has to do is appoint LENORA QEREQERETABUA as its new LEADER and Rabuka will disappear into the oblivion, where he really belongs in Fiji

Picture

The moment we saw SODELPA Youth Group presenting him a TABUA we concluded that it was a grave mistake. For they inflated his bruised ego. He only got those 70,000 plus votes in 2018 because he was the leader of SODELPA. There was also sympathy votes for him because of the way he was treated by FICAC. However, according to veteran SODELPA former MP Mere Samisoni, Rabuka and his group STOLE 5,000 of her votes in Lami. His performance as Opposition leader has been DISMAL. We predict as follows: He will remain in the party to (1) destabilise it from within; (2) Or walk out and form another party like he did in the 1990s; (3) If he remains, he will pretend to have reformed but come 2022 election, he will run and form his own party, in the hope to re-enter Parliament as party leader of his new party. The problem with SODELPA top brass is that it is a closed i-Taukei shop, with no input whatsoever from non-iTaukei Fijians. It will be the non-i Taukei voters who will decide the NEXT GOVERNMENT. If NFP is shrewd enough, all it has to do is appoint LENORA QEREQERETABUA as its new LEADER and Rabuka will disappear into the oblivion, where he really belongs in Fiji. It seems Rabuka, like his hero Donald Trump, is refusing to grow out of his Diaper. Yesterday, we wrote as follows: "But Rabuka and his rabid supporters are not finished YET, for he has a history of pulling the strings from behind the curtain. So, BEWARE of the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing."

VOSAROGO: Capable Deputy

FINALLY, the Party has pulled itself up and dumped the COUPSTER. One Down, Another to be DUMPED in 2022. Fiji must never reward Coupists and Currency Convicts. They are not indispensable to the lifeblood of the nation. As for VILIAME GAVOKA, our Founding Editor-in-Chief who has been privy to his inner thoughts for over three decades, believes his relationship with Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum through marriage will not STOP GAVOKA from speaking his mind. Unlike Rabuka, GAVOKA has loyally served the party and he deserves a crack at the leadership. He will be assisted by another capable deputy political captain in
FILIMONI VOSAROGO.
But Rabuka and his rabid supporters are not finished YET, for he has a history of pulling the strings from behind the curtain. So, BEWARE of the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. But for now, lets shoot those FIRECRACKERS that may be lying around from DIWALI that both the Salusalu-Lasulasu Dream Team - Sitiveni Rabuka and Lynda Tabuya - didn't want us to
fire on siga tabu Sunday.
One could not bear the thought that another COUPSTER might, just might, after destroying our beautiful country and her people, was going to be Prime Minister in 2022. The next election would have turned into a referendum on the 1987 and 2006 COUPS - which of the two snakes has lesser poisonous bite. We understand the loss many of Rabuka's supporters feel in Fiji and abroad but he got those votes in 2018 because of the d'Hondt Electoral System. Gavoka will be able to repeat the feat, and might be able to do better now the COUPSTER is out of the way. For Gavoka-Vosarogo, the task on hand should be to reach out to the non i-Taukei voters who will decide who rules Fiji post 2022.

FIJILEAKS TO FIJI SUN: WHY DON'T YOU GO AND ASK YOUR MASTER PUPPETEER AIYAZ KHAIYUM IF HE WAS THE 1987 MASTER BOMBER?

ASK YOUR BULLY BOY TO STEP DOWN

Martin Luther King, Jr., reminded us that “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”.
We say: The same should be applied to that racist and coupist monster Sitiveni Rabuka whose coups attracted the bombings in 1987. He is on the cusp of being rewarded by SODELPA as its leader - for his coup and the racial and tribal crimes he inflicted on Fiji. RABUKA was directly responsible for putting the Malani Family in harms way because he lured her father away from the deposed Bavadra Government to make him the Minister for Education in his racist Interim Military Government. Ratu Filimoni Rolagaivau was Bavadra's Minister for Fijian Affairs in 1987 when Rabuka overthrew the Bavadra Government based on his perverse racial views of Indo-Fijians, their religion and their culture. One of the most disgusting and unacceptable spectacles is the way i-Taukei Fijians will demand the head of Indo-Fijians on a silver platter but not one of their own - i.e - of RABUKA. At the expense of inflaming passions, one must never forget that the Malani Family were not some innocent bystanders but her FATHER had become part of the racist oppressive machinery. The question is what role, if any, Aiyaz Khaiyum played in those bombings, and if the answer is NONE, the case is a closed book. If the answer is YES, then the question is does he, like other bombers, have IMMUNITY

DOUBLE DIPPING FROM DONOR LISTS: Now, FIJI SUN has published the Donor Lists it has no right to continue to TREAT it as its company property. Saneem must upload the entire lists on Fiji Election Office site

26/11/2020

KKUMAR-$10,000. Is he the notorious computer chap KISHORE KUMAR?
FijiFIRST PARTY lists should have been thrown back at Khaiyum

Picture
DONOR?

RATISH - $5,000. Is Saneem sure that there was no typo error? Was it meant to be RAT, that crawled out of a sewer in Suva and dropped its donation to the FijiFIRST PARTY?

Meanwhile, we will continue to expose the DONORS, for the lists make no sense except to those who might have been told by the donors that they donated to the political parties. The only ones easily identifiable are the Tappoos, Punjas, Vinod Patel, RC Manubhai families etc - otherwise most were in the public domain for a DAY in Fiji Sun, and have now vanished into the dark - locked up inside Fiji Sun's E-Edition. You have to pay to view it, as if the donor lists published by Saneem is the paper's property.

We recommend that all future donors must include their VOTING ID numbers, so parties cannot lie that 'Oh, Rajesh Patel is Ratu Peceli...'. We also recommend that all future donations should only be received by certified party agents so we can hold them to account or prosecute them

We have been able to identify 99 per cent of FFP donors because we created a database of these donors and have caught them out. How could Mohammed Saneem claim that he is satisfied with the lists, especially FFP donor lists. Who the hell on 2014 list is KKUMAR?

2014:
(1) RATISH - $5,000. Is Saneem sure that there was no typo error? Was it meant to be RAT, that crawled out of a sewer in Suva and dropped its donation?
(2) Du XJ - $5,000
(3) KANA - $400. Lets hope it was not "chow" expenses - wrong entry?
(4) SAHESH - $30
(5) SERU - $10,000. CRIKEY, there are thousands of Serus in Fiji, abroad
(6) Mr CHETTY - $1,000. There are hundreds of Chettys on Sangam list
(7) M. PATEL - $10,000. B. PATEL - $5,000. Thousands of Patels, M &B
(8) N. CHAND - $10,000
(9) N. LAL - $10,000. Who is N. Lal - Is he Nitin Lal, the accountant?
(10) S. DEVI - $10,000. SEXY DEVI, STYLIST DEVI, SMART DEVI??????

2015:
(1) MRS V. PATEL - $10,000. Which of the wives with V first name?
(2) SARITA - $8,000
(3) POONAM - $8,000
(4) VANDANA - $10,000
(5). M. SAMI - $9,000
We suspect (2-5) are ghost donations from a company on behalf of staff

2018:
(1) S KHAN - $9,985. This is clearly an overseas donation but S? Tell us?
(2) MR GARY - $10,000. Saneem can you tell was who the hell is Mr Gary?
(3) MRS BARBARA - $4,738.53. Saneem, TELL US - who is Mrs Barbara?

Fijileaks: We repeat. He should be booted out of the Elections Office and taken into custody, along with FFP general secretary and Minister for Elections, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum. How much of taxpayers COVID money was paid to the Fiji Sun, who are now demanding that to access those LISTS one has to pay and view them via Fiji Sun's E-Edition. According to the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Act 2013, PPR 26, 'the accounts of every political party shall be published in the GAZETTE and in the media, and the costs of any such publication shall be paid by or recovered from the political party'. To date, not one single account of any political party has been published by him in the Gazette. The much heralded lists of donations in the Fiji Sun screamed: WHO GAVE CASH WHERE? SORRY, if you examine the donations, we do not know if those donations were in CASH or CHEQUE. The paper is laughing all the way to the BANK - courtesy of Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum. GOD FORBID: Let us hope that people will not accuse and beat up their neighbours because, one SARITA ALI, on the donor list, lives next door. As the lists stand, they are fertile ground for exploitation, and abuse, especially on Social Media. Blame Khaiyum for the mess
WHO IS DICKSON PENG AND DICKSOM PENG? WHY WAS
2014 LISTS HELD BACK FROM THE PEOPLE OF FIJI? WHY DID IT TAKE SANEEM SIX LONG YEARS TO REVEAL THE LISTS?

2015 Donation to FFP

RESIGN:

Picture
SANEEM: BLIND TO FACTS
Picture
Picture

REALLY, MOHAMMED SANEEM? Just look up RAJESH PATEL'S name in the FFP and NFP donation lists. On 22 October 2015 Patel, who is a Director of RC Manubhai Group of Companies, donated $10,000 to FFP. Now, look up his name in the NFP Donation list: in the same year, 2015, he donated $7,500 to the NFP. By donating a total of $17,500 in 2015 to two different political parties, he broke the Donation Decree which stipulates that you cannot donate over $10,000 in the same year to either one or more political parties. And read FBC News headline (25/1/2020): FFP Donations Cleared by Registrar. Saneem gave Fiji Sun the go ahead to release the donation lists to general public

Picture

Below RAJESH PATEL'S DONATION OF $10,000 to FijiFIRST Party, 2015

Picture

DONATIONS IN TWO POLITICAL CAMPS: We had FFP lists on us from 2014 to 2019 that Saneem had released to the general public after charging them 50 cents per page. Now, we find he has withheld the 2014 FFP list. So, those who paid for 2014 FFP list must demand a refund from this robber baron Aiyaz Khaiyum's Poodle. We had also obtained the NFP list but suddenly realised that if we revealed RAJESH PATEL'S double donation Saneem might tamper with the 2015 lists. Now the 2015 LISTS of all parties are out in the Fiji Sun, just look up RAJESH PATEL'S name in the FFP and NFP donation lists. On 22 October 2015, he had donated $10,000 to FFP. Now, look up his name in the NFP Donation list: in the same year, 2015, he donated $7,500 to the NFP. By donating a total of $17,500 in 2015 to two different political parties, he broke the Donation Decree which stipulates you cannot donate over $10,000 in the same year to either one or more political parties.
We, therefore call on FICAC to take into CUSTODY the Registrar of Political Parties Saneem for certifying RAJESH PATEL'S 2015 illegal donation. Rajesh Patel, who was recently awarded the Fiji@50 Independence Medal, should also be taken into custody, and he should be stripped of the medal. He must also step down as President of the Fiji Football Association and also from the Board of the Fiji Development Bank. He should not have been illegally 'KICKING' HIS DONATIONS IN TWO POLITICAL GOAL POSTS in 2015. He is also senior vice-president of the Oceania Football Confederation and in 2019 he was elected first FIFA Council member from Fiji. He and his family have donated thousands of dollars to the FijiFIRST PARTY

PROTECTING FIJIFIRSTPARTY FRAUD: The Donor Lists published by Saneem in Khaiyum's FIJI SUN omits 2014 Donor List of FFP, FLP, NFP. WHY? Is it because it is in 2014 FFP List that we exposed Dickson Peng?

SANEEM has never published the 2014 Donation Lists

Picture
Picture

We call on FICAC to take this conniving Aiyaz Khaiyum's POODLE, MOHAMMED SANEEM, into custody, and demand ANSWERS from him. In the 2014 FFP list, we revealed others who had donated twice, and questioned whether SHAILESH KUMAR was really FFP Founding Member who donated $70,000. We also questioned the Australian donation to FFP. The Fiji SUN, owned by CJ Patel, whose owners and staff  donated to FFP are LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK at Fijian Taxpayers Expense. It is time other parties asked Saneem to publish 2014 FFP Donation Lists and for Khaiyum to rebutt our claims of double donations to the FIJIFIRST PARTY in breach of the Donation Decree. In 2014, FFP received over $2million, of which $36,870.13 was through Party fund raising

In September, the Registrar of Political Parties released to Charan Jeath Singh and other members of the public (provided they paid 50 cents per page) the FFP's donor lists from 2014 to 2019 inclusive. Now, the donation lists of FFP, FLP and NFP is from 2015 onwards. Is Saneem trying to COVER UP FFP's fraud as exposed by Fijileaks? We issue an open challenge to all Fijian journalists to confront Saneem about 2014 FFP List. They must not be afraid of Aiyaz Khaiyum? As far as we are concerned, he should have by now stepped down to allow Fiji Police to conduct a free and fair investigation into allegations that he masterminded the 1987 bombing campaign after Rabuka's coups

In the revised list, after we questioned the double donation, the Registrar Notes: 'The [FFP] has clarified that the donor for Receipt number 970 is Harnish Tappoo and not Harrish Tappoo.'
