BRING IT ON: MOHAMMED Saneem says he is satisfied with the FFP donations and will publish it in FIJI SUN. He should upload list of donors on Fiji Elections Office Website since Fiji Times will not get to publish it

He should tell us why he RELEASED the FFP list in September and is now releasing a revised version after our exposure. We will continue to expose the donors, for names mean nothing. Our first revelation was that one Dickson and Dicksom Peng donated twice in 2014. What was this man doing for the last six years, only consulting FFParty list in 2020. Peng & Peng denies ever donating to FFP? And, as we revealed, there is ONLY one DICK PENG on the voter list. This man must be SACKED.
We will call in FICAC, for FFP list is riddled with fraud, double donors, and what about Shailesh Kumar who donated $70,000. We have argued that he was not FFP Founding Member. What about that cheque of $23,237.92 from Australia. The problem is that so-called Fijian journalists are either too SCARED or are just hopeless as journalists in Fiji

A MEDAL for SERVICE to FIJI and HUMANITY: He should be ORDERED out of Attorney-General's Office instead of being awarded Companion of Order of Fiji. He is the most UNDESERVING recipient of the Fiji Medal

"Such a brazen gesture to the people of Fiji by a callous Government, rewarding perhaps a most despised Fijian politician of all times. A real finger up the noses of thousands of suffering Fijians. The Honours ceremony for this year, the most difficult year for Fijians in the history of Fiji, should have been postponed in honour of all the affected Fijians.
But the partying of the elites goes on in the pandemic year.

BOMBING CASE UPDATE:
Fijileaks: HOW can he give his STATEMENT when supposedly he is NOT aware of the precise nature of complaint against HIM? He reportedly turned up at the CID Headquarters when the MALANI Family were there. Was THIS BULLY AND THUG there to intimidate the Family? Did someone from inside the Fiji Police Force tip him off of the family's presence at the Police Station? We call on MILITARY POLICE to investigative whether Khaiyum's bodyguards are paid extra from a slush fund and that he has allegedly facilitated generous housing loans for them. If its true, then he should be charged with BRIBERY. When will FICAC charge him over the FFP Donation Scams we have been revealing in Fijileaks. Why is
the Fiji Law Society quiet as a church mouse?

CART BEFORE HORSE: We were hoping SODELPA'S Management Board would first AMEND its Party Constitution then re-advertise the position of Parliamentary Leader. Rabuka should have resigned after 2018 poll loss

*We strongly argue that to have allowed Sitiveni Rabuka to contest the Parliamentary Leader's position is in breach of the Party's Constitution on the basis of which the previous holder, Ro Teimumu Kepa, was required to step down in view of the Party’s loss in the 2014 elections

* The same rule should have been applied to Sitiveni Rabuka for failing to secure victory in the 2018 elections. There is no point in arguing:
'Isa, We came so close to winning the 2018 election"
*
All the current leader candidates do not inspire sufficient confidence that they have, what it takes, to lead the party to victory and go on to form a strong and robust Government after 2022
* We strongly feel that the Management Board’s decision to postpone the review of the Party Constitution and proceed first with the selection of the Parliamentary Leader and a Deputy was ill-conceived, and is like placing the CART BEFORE THE HORSE
* For example, before Rabuka was allowed to contest the Parliamentary Leader's position again, the Party should have first amended the Constitution to enable his candidature to be considered
*It is also generally accepted by the members that the Party’s Constitution as amended by the former Secretary-General (SG) could be described as shoddy workmanship
*This was highlighted by the Supervisor of Elections when he complained about the numerous amendments that the former SG kept sending him so that both he and the former SG had difficulty identifying which of the amendments was the officially approved version
* But worse, it was obvious that the amendments were driven by personal agendas because suddenly the post of Parliamentary Leader (which was then held by Ro Kepa) became virtually redundant as the Parliamentary Leader's duties and functions were taken over by the President (formerly the Tui Cakau) who previously only had a ceremonial role to play in party
*Thus when Rabuka took up the post of Party Leader, he was almost and is still redundant in that role because the President and the SG are the two who are actually running the party
*So why did the Party rush into filling the Parliamentary Leader's position when the Party’s Management Board is yet to redefine the role or functions of the Party Leader?
*In effect, the Party Leader presently is a toothless tiger and the SG has more power than the Parliamentary Leader. Take, for example, if the Parliamentary Leader wants to create a post, he or she has to jump hoops - apply through the SG who will then submit the Parliamentary Leader's request with her recommendation to the President or the Management Board
*We would have strongly recommended that the selection and appointment of the Parliamentary Leader and Deputy be deferred until the review of the Party's Constitution was completed, and that the post of Parliamentary Leader and that of the SG be combined or held conjointly as is the practice with other political parties, and the President’s post remained ceremonial as in the FLP, FFP and NFP
*We undertsand the new leader will be announced at the Party's general meeting on Saturday.
*What IF the Selection Panel says the position of Parliamentary Leader should be re-advertised, for they were not satisfied with any of the contenders for the top job? They failed at the last hurdle - INTERVIEW

FOUL STENCH - FFP DONORS Link to NAMAKA Market PIGEON POOP: SANJAY KABA, HEMANT Mehsuria, TULSI Construction (Paliachi-Tulsi), all involved in construction of market, donated thousands to FFPARTY

Khaiyum's contractor Tulsi Construction had contract to build the Namaka Market

As Namaka market vendors in Nadi complain about Pigeons and Birds BOMBING crap and sh*t on them, the United Nations Women which made availabe funding under its M4C progamme should be informed how FFP donors and fundraisers are profiting from these UN funded projects, allgedly controlled by the party's chairman of fund-raising SANJAY KABA. HE stands accused of doling out contracts to FFP donors not only for the Namaka market but Nausori, Suva, Laqere, Ba, Sigatoka and Nadi markets. The state of the art Namaka market contract went to Tulsi Construction whose owner is not only building Aiyaz and Ela Khaiyum's Wailoaloa apartments and the Tubakula farm house but he broke Khaiyum's Donation Decree by donating twice in 2018, one of $10,000 under his real name, Shailendra Paliachi Kumar, and another of $5000 as Shalend Tulsi. The other two involved in the Namaka market were FFP donors Hemant Mehsuria of Maisuria Design Ltd Architects and Sanjay Kaba, HLK Jacob, Civil and Structural Engineers. As Grubsheet's GRAHAM DAVIS has revealed, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and Sanjay Kaba, the two-men panel who interviewed prospective FijiFirst candidates for the election, rejected the candidacy of Brigadier General (ret’d) Ioane Naivalurua, the Secretary of the Military Council, spuriously claiming that Naivalurua had not sent a photo of himself with his application. The Brigadier-General's election application in 2018 was basically dismissed
as Namaka Market 'pigeon poop' and binned

SANJAY Kaba gave $10,000 to the FFParty on 13 April 2017. He donated under the name of Sanjay Lal, Kaba’s middle name. He is accused of deciding who gets all Government related building projects. Similarly, Kaba and Khaiyum felt Brigadier General (ret’d) Ioane Naivalurua (below) was NOT worthy to represent the FFP in Parliament. His application in 2018 was basically treated as 'pigeon poop' and binned.

*We call on FICAC to ascertain if Shailendra/Shalend/ Paliachi/Tulsi's WIFE, SHIVANGI PALIACHI and their daughter SWETA SHIVANI KUMAR actually personally donated to FFP. On 22 October 2018, Shivangi donated $10,000 and Sweta donated $5,000 (10/11/2018). On 4 July 2014, double donor Shailendra Paliachi Kumar had donated $5,000 to the party

Picture

HEMANT Mehsuria donated $17,500 with his wife under Hemant and Veena Kumar to FFP in 2014 and 2017. We were able to identify him through his wife. Otherwise, he would have slipped through the net. He was the architect for Namaka Market. Mehsuria was allegedly FFP's Nadi based fundraiser

PIGEON POOP: CHAUDHRY says no laughing matter
"Frankly, to me the building looks more like a cross between an aviary and an aircraft hangar. Did the designers take into account the fact that a produce market would naturally attract birds because of all the food and waste lying around? How could the Nadi Town Council have approved the design and building plan. Did it consult experts on the designing of municipal markets?  Apparently not. Construction industry sources say there are other design problems with the building. It uses far too much steel than is necessary. This would have naturally raised the cost of the building and added to the professional fees paid for the project." FLP Leader Mahendra Pal Chaudhry

"Several options are now being considered to stop the nesting of birds especially pigeons who have created a poop nuisance at the $5 million Namaka Market Complex in Nadi which was opened in February this year. Local Government Minister, Premila Kumar says it was built on an open concept so it allows birds to freely move around at the top and also nest. Kumar says they have tried to remedy the problem by providing steel netting and also consulting a company that provides sound-emitting devices that act as bird deterrents. She says both options are not working and she has seen it herself. Kumar says they were already dealing with the issue even before it was highlighted by Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry." The UN Convention on Genocide in December 1948 came into effect in January 1951. Article Two of the convention defines genocide as "any of the following acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such": (a) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (b) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part etc, etc, etc

Fijileaks: Frankly speaking, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum is a creature of Sitiveni Rabuka's coups. How many assassination attempts were made on Adolf Hitler and his Nazi henchmen by Germans and Jews alike, to end Nazi Germany's racial nightmare. In 1987, looking from outside into Fiji, one thought Rabuka was implementing Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf. Rabuka's book and a third-rate movie of the same name was his Autiobiography, No Other Way, where he treasonously claims his coups were the only way to purge Indo-Fijian presence in Fiji. Yet SODELPA is planning to hand him leadership baton to take them into the 2022 Election, with Niko Nawaikula crying over the Great Council of Chiefs and Lynda Tabuya was worried her siga tabu might be disturbed with Hindus letting off

"When I entered the Minister’s Office, [Peter] Stinson took me into confidence and told me, very directly, that Colonel Rabuka had my name on his “hit list”; that the Colonel wanted me “out of the way”...Upon release from imprisonment around mid-morning on the Tuesday, after going home first, I then went, early in the afternoon the same day, to my Office in the New Wing of Government Buildings. There, occupying my chair in my Office, was Mr. Nelson Delailomaloma, an indigenous Fijian who was a member of my team in the Ministry serving as Director of Commerce and Trade. From there, at around 2 pm, I went to the Public Service Commission (PSC) to see Mr. Poseci Bune, then the Permanent Secretary of PSC. What Poseci Bune said to me when I met him was quite instructive. He said: “As you may know, the Colonel (Rabuka) wants you out of the way. I believe you have a position with the Asian Development Bank. If you are prepared to resign from the Fiji Public Service, I will see what I can do about your exit from the country.” That afternoon, when I got back to my residence at Laucala Beach Estate at about 5.30 pm, there was a letter for me, from Poseci Bune, that had been hand-delivered to my residence. This letter, inter alia, stated: “It is deemed that with effect from today’s date, you have resigned from the Fiji Public Service. I wish you good luck...I was being declared a persona non grata in the country of my birth” - John Samy

Fijileaks: Two days before Rabuka seized power, he was interviewed for the post of Commissioner of Police, then held by an Indo- Fijian (P.U. Raman). 'I had had a gutful. I wanted to leave the Army because I knew deep inside me that I could not support a [Bavadra] Coalition Government', Rabuka admitted. After the coup, he imprisoned Raman and gave the job to an ethnic Fijian. For a counter to his No Other Way, see VICTOR LAL, Fiji: Coups in Paradise - Race, Politics and Military Intervention. Lal reveals in detail how this racist snake crawled out of the army barracks to turn Fiji into a Satanic Paradise with his 1987 Coups, with Immunity sulu wrapped over him

The MALANI FAMILY and their hysterical supporters can continue with their relentless FACEBOOK war.  Many of the postings contain ludicrous allegations about who else was allegedly involved with him. In calling for Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum to step down, our Founding Editor-in-Chief is using the same 'rule book' when, in 2008, he had called on MAHENDRA CHAUDHRY to step down so Police could conduct a free and fair investigation into his tax matters. Although he was Interim Minister of Finance and line manager of FRCA, just like Khaiyum is to Police and DPP, Mahendra Chaudhry REFUSED to step down. Our Founding Editor-in-Chief had a year earlier, in August 2007, provided all the documentary evidence from Chaudhry's own 148 page Tax File that had been leaked to him, to Frank Bainimarama, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum, and FICAC. Instead, Chaudhry, Khaiyum, and Bainimarama went on the offensive, attacking our Founding Editor-in-Chief. A year later, our Founding Editor-in-Chief went PUBLIC resulting in the abduction and deportation of Fiji Sun publisher RUSSELL HUNTER out of Fiji. We cannot allow history to repeat itself. No One Is Above The LAW. POWER BROKEN: In the end, Chaudhry was convicted over his tax matters. But the Interim Government had tried to fob off every effort to force Chaudhry to step down.
WE REPEAT: STEP DOWN, AIYAZ SAYED KHAIYUM. Your staying as Attorney-General, Minister for Justice, Minister for Economy (and one hundred other portfolios) is also exposing Fiji to internal and external threats from foreign governments, criminal syndicates, drug runners, large corporations for Government favours and contracts, and tarnishing the 2006 Miliatry Coup Campaign: To Clean Up Fiji

The former Finance Minister, and Fiji’s ambassador to China, Sir Jim Ah Koy, had called upon Chaudhry to stand aside or resign to allow for investigation into the tax evasion claims. And Sir James had added: “There are many people around who can do the Finance Minister’s job. He should stand aside or resign. That is what one would expect from a Cabinet minister in a Westminster model of government...I joined the interim Government because they were going to clean up all the corruption. But, it’s getting difficult now. It’s time to Speak Up.”

TALE OF TWO FIJIANS IN NEW ZEALAND: One Professor wins NZ's 'highest academic honour in social science research'; another, an Indo-Fijian student told to PISS OFF, 'You not PACIFIC ISLANDER to get Grant'

"This is a conference of the Pacific communities in New Zealand, yet the Pacific Vision literature I have read appears to have an omission. There is no reference that I could see to the Indians (Indo-Fijians) from Fiji. Fiji Indians are full citizens. They are officially designated as Fiji Islanders and one, the Honorable Mahendra Chaudhry, is now Prime Minister. They may have a distinct and different appearance and characteristics and been late arrivals, but ISLANDERS they are - fully fledged Pacific Islanders." The then President Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara, July 1999

Picture
Picture
A New Zealand youth MP Shaneel Lal is speaking out against education policies that exclude some Pacific Island people from Pasifika programmes and scholarships as unfair.

Lal, who is eighth generation Indo-Fijian, applied for a Pasifika scholarship at the University of Otago only to be told he had to prove he had “indigenous” Pacific Island ancestry because Indo-Fijians did not qualify.

He is not the only one to be rejected on the basis of race – even though he was born in Fiji – but he aims to take the matter up with the Education Minister Chris Hipkins.

Lal told Stuff: “I know I’m Fijian. I’m eighth generation Fijian. I have indigenous [ancestry] along the lines I just cannot draw a family tree and say, ‘this person is an indigenous person’.”

Lal said the policies were unfair as Indo-Fijian people experienced many of the same challenges as other Pacific Island groups.

He said that some universities that did not recognise Indo-Fijians as Pacific people “kind of highlights the subtle racism that’s going on in our Pacific community”.

The Auckland-based student said he struck the same problem when applying for Pasifika leadership opportunities while at secondary school and his cousin had a similar experience when she tried to apply for a place in the Māori and Pacific Admission Scheme (MAPAS) at the University of Auckland.

‘Not enough evidence’

He was told his passport and birth certificate were not enough evidence of him being of Pacific descent and he would need to get a Pacific community leader to vouch for him.

He said that would be difficult having come from Fiji to New Zealand in 2014.

The irony in his circumstance was that he was chosen as youth MP for Minister for Building and Construction, Minister for Customs and Minister for Ethnic Communities Jenny Salesa, who was not responding on the issue.
When asked for a response, a spokesperson from her office said: “Yes, but probably not from the minister. It will be around definitions and criteria.”

Meanwhile, Professor Vijay Naidu from the University of the South Pacific based in Suva – where all Fiji citizens are recognised as Fijian and the indigenous people are recognised as I-Taukei – had a historical perspective on the issue.

“Some years ago, Loraine Pillai who migrated to New Zealand many years ago and retired as a senior high school teacher over there wrote to then Prime Minister Helen Clark about Pasifika identity and Indo-Fijians,” he said.

“Her response was that Indo-Fijians were Pasifika. Apparently, Aotearoa had arrived at this decision when [founding Fiji prime minister] Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara had expressed his disaffection with the absence of Fijians of Indian descent at an official reception hosted for him.

“Back to Loraine’s letter. She wrote her letter because, at a workshop for school administrators in Wellington, she had been told by a woman by the surname of Wendt that Indo-Fijians were not regarded as Pasifika people.”

Education Minister Chris Hipkins has said universities set the criteria for Pasifika scholarships, not the government.

Fijileaks: Long before Ratuva was appointed Director of the Macmillan Brown Studies Centre for Pacific Studies at the University of Canterbury, our Founding Editor-in-Chief had received a very similar reply in the 1990s when he enquired if he could spend part of his sabbatical at the Centre to complete a collaborative research he was engaged in with his Oxford academic colleagues on Indigenous-Immigrant Contestation of Land Ownership in New Zealand, Fiji, Canada and South Africa
and International Land Rights Laws.'
"Oh, sorry, you are not Pacific Islander, ENOUGH, for our Pacific Studies Centre to host you'.
And here are the same people always begging for our support to champion their indigenous causes. Bloody hypocrites. We hope that after two decades and a Fijian as its Director, such perverse test of who is a genuine Pacific Islander has been ditched by the Centre
No wonder Indo-Fijians had voted with their feet for FijiFIRST PARTY

In the eyes of the Macmillan Brown Studies Centre for Pacific Studies our Founding Editor-in-Chief was nothing but RABUKA'S COOLIE and
