*When did Biman Prasad wake up in bed and found out that his WIFE was a founding TRUSTEE of the Global Girmit Institute since 2017?
*Was it in May 2023 when he was caught out giving $200,000 to his wife and Ganesh Chand of the GGI during Girmit celebrations?
FICAC must act against Biman Prasad, read to him Political Parties Act
*How can Prasad have handed $200,000 of public funds to his wife's Global Girmit Institute (when in his declarations to the Fiji Elections Office he doesn't mention her link to GGI) but later, when exposed by Fijileaks, claimed that he had told the Coalition government Cabinet of his wife's link to GCI?
*If so, how come he had omitted to disclose to the Registrar of Political Parties in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023 that his wife was a trustee of the Global Girmit Institute?
*The GGI was de-registered in 2022 after it had failed to submit its accounts but the trustees re-registered it in 2023.
*He must be charged and fronted before the court.

Fijileaks: After NFP leader and Coalition's Finance Minister Prasad recently lashed out at Mahendra Chaudhry, branding him a chor (thief), liar and convicted criminal regarding the $2million in Sydney bank account (revealed in 2008 in the Fiji Sun by our current Founding Editor-in-Chief), we re-visited Biman Prasad's FILE relating to declaration of assets, income and offices held in a corporation or other organisations from 2014-2024, and can reveal that Biman Prasad did not declare that his WIFE Rajni Chand (along with Ganesh Chand) was one of two GGI Trustees.
*Prasad did not declare in his 2017 Declaration when the GGI was registered (including 2018-2021) or in his 2023 Declaration when the GGI was re-registered that his spouse Rajni Chand was one of two co-trustees.
*The Global Girmit Institute was re-registered so it could get $200,000 of the Girmit celebration funds to organize the two-day international conference at the USP, where Pal Ahluwalia was keynote speaker.
*We call on FICAC to haul Prasad and his wife before the court, and explore whether Ganesh Chand is party to any alleged fraud of Fiji taxpayers money in the girmit celebrations in 2023.
*A forensic examination of his declarations reveal Biman Prasad did not declare in his 2017 and 2023 declarations (filed in January 2018 and January 2024 as required by the Political Parties Act) that his wife Rajni Chand was a co-trustee of the Global Girmit Institute, an institute that he gave $200,000 of public funds to organise the Girmit conference.
*The Coalition government did not call for any tender, depriving the University of Fiji and Fiji National University to bid for the $200,000.
*When Fijileaks exposed the wife's link to the GCI, later taken up by FLP and FFP, Prasad hit back, claiming that he had disclosed the link to the Cabinet (supported by Sitiveni Rabuka) before $200,000 was released to the GCI, and that his Permanent Secretary of Finance had insisted that unless the GCI bring the registration certificate, the grants will not be given and stressed that all requirements were met by the Institute.
* When questioned if the GGI was re-registered 24 hours before the signing of the agreement as claimed by his political opponents and Fijileaks, Prasad claimed his Permanent Secretary signed the agreement and all he and the Solicitor General required was that the organisation was registered.
*He said whether it was registered 24 hours or 3 years before was not an issue but it was important for the Ministry that all requirements were met.
*But where it really mattered - in his declaration - he NEVER revealed that his wife Rajni Chand was a trustee of GGI.
*Therefore, FICAC must charge and present him in court for violating the Political Parties Act.
*We have his complete declaration of assets and income from 2014 to 2024 and no where in those signed declarations he declares his wife's link to the Global Girmit Institute, the recipient of the $200,000

Prasad was aware of the link but chose to omit it in his Declarations
CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION: We repeat that Biman Prasad must step down from Coalition government, his wife must step aside from USP, so FICAC and Police can launch a criminal investigation into how the Global Girmit Institute managed to break Guinness World Record to file application on 22 February 2023 and get re-registered the next day, on 23 February.
*The investigating authorities must also take in the other two trustees, GANESH CHAND and HIRDESH SHARMA for questioning, including the GGI Auditors and the acting Registrar of Titles, Adi Kelera Rokoleba Kididromo who approved the GG1 application.
*Another principal suspect who should be questioned is VIJAY KRISHNA NAIR, the failed NFP election candidate and Justice of Peace, who witnessed the the re-registration application
*We know the GGI had failed to submit four years (2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021) financial accounts and was de-registered.
*USP Vice-Chancellor PAL AHLUWALIA must also explain when did he know that USP was to host the two-day conference, when was an invitation sent out to him to be the keynote speaker, and who paid the USP to host the international conference - the total cost?
*The NFP president and Minister responsible for the Police, PIO TIKODUADUA must also explain if any Police check was ordered on the TRUSTEES, for Ganesh Chand's Abuse of Office charge has been permanently stayed until the principal witness testifies against him.
