FNU LAW CAMPUS: Lawless bunch also hired (and then fired) SODELPA MP and lawyer Niko Nawaikula, at the directive of higher authorities, from teaching Legal Writing and Administrative Law;  Ana Rokomoti accused!

Fijileaks: Nawaikula  was appointed to do these 2 units. But was sacked by Rokomoti just after 2 weeks and she took up the class. Nawaikula didn't even know. He turned up at the class. She took him outside and told him that FNU can not employ him. If that is the case, then why was Nawaikula employed in the first instance?
Full story coming soon!

For Your Diary: Fijileaks will not be updated between 29 September - 2 October

TROUBLESOME CAREER:
ROKOMOTI was sent as a Counselor by Frank Bainimarama to High Commissioner Yogesh Karan in India before she had to be pulled out. And was sacked from there for constant undermining and subversion of  Yogesh Karan. She made his life hell until she was caught red-handed. She is a seasoned racist towards Indo-Fijians, some claim. She was allegedly protected by Foreign Minister Inoke Kubuabola.

Natives hiring and firing fellow natives without due process and natural justice and we say the colonialist were bad because we claim that is what they use to do to native folks.
So this is how people get treated in the " new " and " better " Fiji ?

Fiji needs to start creating jobs to boost its economy. It`s number one asset is its own people.Do whats in the interest of its people not investors.Investors comes third or they will dictate policies indirectly inside out..It has always been since the Leonidas..phew. You steal from people,it will come back to you ten times more. You provide for them, it will come back ten times more. This is why govt` s fall, there doing it the other way round.Focus on the welfare of people.Create jobs for them. Its the same as running a business. You look after the needs of people,it will pay off ten times more. Fiji needs entrepreneurs not know hows for this to work out. Leave the past behind and fix this problem. Fijis potential is mega huge but so far I see no one tapping into it the right way. Fiji can be like Singapore within a short time frame.I know of 30 ways of creating mega millions on a daily basis for govt that is just sitting there idle.No one spot it yet and I am looking at it already. The people are your number one asset. It`s a numbers game..Fiji has huge potential to be like Singapore or more because of location. Nothings changed much really. Fiji also need economic proof systems in place as well. Again no one knows how.Just go with the flow like everyone else I guess. ..sometimes I imagine flying to another Singapore in the hub of the pacific just to be awaken by dull colors and men singing with guitars at the entrance giving you a pinch of reality on ground level.I mean its like,is that all you got?? Boring man...same old same old. There better guitar players coming out of that plane too you know. Don`t mind some some classic music playing in the background.Restaurants in Fiji need to be educated about food hygiene as well. For all the coups in fiji and change of govts, all I see is the same old fiji, struggling here and there.Fiji is more like in fixing past problems mode.Changing of flag from the union jack is also not a smart move. The union jack does carry 75% of weight when it comes to economic growth.Companies and countries have big respect when they see the union jack, they either want to get involve or know more about your growth.Don`t know why but that`s just the nature of things. Either that who wants to know about tuvalu. The color blue is a rich color also because it represent the sea for holidayers because it gives you that feel good thing inside when u see it.A lot of men died too under that banner. It would be a waste and a slap on the face for all in fiji if it went, after all the sacrifice. On the other hand brown and black are not a rich color either for fiji especially if you`re a tourist destination.Colors can change peoples mood especially when going for a holiday. Change Tahiti to black and brown and see what happens.Numbers will fall and marketing campaigns will go high.. Anyway...hope some entrepreneur comes and help fiji get back on its feet some day I guess.Oh and being a christian state has massive values as well.My thoughts are not necessarily yours and I respect yours as well. :)

Seems like you are delusional. If you had ideas, you would be going to the government and advising them just like Mahendra Reddy was doing which led to his meteoric rise to stardom.Maybe you could also become a minister and make this country like Singapore.....taking mada!!

Isn't the university - any university - supposed to be the bastion of democracy, freedom and human rights? So how come a rogue operative of the Fiji military dictatorship got employed by the Fiji National University?
What kind of university is that?

The whole point about this is academic freedom. The question to ask is: was Niko Nawaikula competent to teach the two subjects, and if he was, was he the best that the University could get? Once employed, was his performance up to par? If the answers are in the positive, then firing him is an assault on academic freedom. Who ordered the firing? Who succumbed to these orders? I say the matter does not start with Niko. Those of us who are following academia, we know that the assault started with the firing of Dr. Ganesh. Only the SODEPLA had grasped this point when Ratu Isoa raised this on the firing of Dr. Ganesh. Even the veteran academic leader of NFP could not get the point that the firing of Dr. Ganesh was the last big assault on academic freedom after Dr. Wadan was silenced. Others, including Fijileaks, all got sucked into the regime propaganda about FICAC investigations, not realising that this was actually a part of the plan for the attack. Say whatever about the man, Dr. Ganesh was one bold intellectual. The rest of the events after his firing are only the play of the anti-democratic minions. Included in the latter is the Education Minister Mahendra Reddy, a great shame to the name of academia.

As much as we appreciate your comments we stand by our claims that Dr Ganesh Chand is not above the law - file after file in our possession reveal that Chand should be charged with various other criminal offences.

One of the most sickening feature of Fiji is that many hide behind the veener of respectability to commit fraud, sexual molestation, etc, etc, etc.

As we have stated, Dr Ganesh Chand must be brought before the courts!

If he has committed any crime, he must be taken to task. So far we havent seen anything other than Filipe Bole medical. Bole medical was not criminal otherwise Bole would have been charged. Cant you see this simple thing? Allegations of fraud, sexual molestation etc etc etc are easy to make to destroy a person - like building a straw man. That is what those who wanted to attack academic freedom did. You at Fijileaks fell for it. Be a man to accept this lapse.

Correction : Professor Wadan Narsey was never silenced. The man has had the courage to speak truth to power. The toady regime lackeys at USP got rid of Wadan under the direction of their political masters but that did not stop Wadan from continuing to speak his mind. It's a good thing for Fiji we have someone like Wadan to keep the cause of democracy alive in the country.

This ex-military lawyer is a con artist who has had a very big hand in the removal of niko nawaikula and this Gabriel ash guy from Australia. She conspired with this ram karan who is her lover to kick these two competent lecturers out. She feared that if these two stayed, they will find out that she is a bluff and incompetent lecturer herself. She used this ram karan womaniser chap and sent two good lecturers packing. Now, she is taking all courses and destroying the law courses future at Fnu. Shame on ram karan and the stupid white fella good for nothing rouse. Fnu is becoming more like a animal farm than a university. Here I was thinking that it will get better with removal of Ganesh. No chance in hell with people like rokomoti, ram karan and rouse. The only one to suffer is the poor law students who are learning nothing from these lawless bunch. Isa lei, god have mercy on our children.

Racial tensions yet again, no wonder why Fiji cannot move forward if they keep this up because they still haven't learn anything from the colonists themselves.
