From left, Fijian Holdings CEO Nouzab Fareed, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Fiji Holdings and Fiji TV chairman Iowane Naiveli.

                                                    By VICTOR LAL

THE Attorney-General (if he deserves the position) Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum publicly stated (LIED) in Parliament that the Opposition was wrong to state that he was interfering with Fiji TV in regards to World Rugby. He laughed and mocked at them. However, his "Boy" Nouzab Fareed's emails, above and below, clearly shows the interference from Khaiyum. This is also notwithstanding that Tanya Waqanika had gone on public record and stated that she and four others (Iowane Naiveli, Fareed, Tevita Gonelevu, and Serai Roxburgh) from Fiji TV were present in the A-G Chambers conference room with Khaiyum, Solicitor-General (Sharvada Sharma) and Acting Senior Legal Officer (Tupou Baravilala) where Khaiyum himself had presented to Fiji TV a ready made letter dated 3rd December which he and his team had prepared for CEO Fiji TV and Chairperson Naiveli to sign.

In Fareed's attached email (dated 5th December), he (Fareed) wanted CEO and Naiveli to sign.  Fareed never wanted to have his signature on anything; unfortunately, Gonelevu refused to sign the 2nd Fiji TV letter dated 5th December. The same letter was emailed from A-G's office by Tupou Baravilala to Fiji TV and Fareed made slight amendments to the letter and had no choice but to sign the letter with Naiveli. Fareed has been playing politics with the Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) and Fiji TV board members, including the Government as well. He was the very one that sent Gonelevu to World Rugby to Dublin to inform them that Fiji TV did not want to share the IRB 7s series feed; he did something right given that it was in the interest of the shareholders.  He also played A-G as well when he sent Gonelevu to relay his message to World Rugby. Both, Khaiyum and Fareed, have not responded to questions sent by Fijileaks!

Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum is a pathological liar. He has been lying from day one of the Bainimarama coup.Anyone who fails to see that is intellectually challenged. And, it matters not if the anyone is highly educated!

Shit! Under normal circumstances, this would be explosive – a Minister of the State lying to Parliament and the country in fact. However, We do not know if the PM will do anything to discipline his MoF and AG – these are not normal circumstances that out country is now in, where, Ministers of the State hold themselves accountable and try to behave in a way that does not bring disrepute to themselves, their party, and the government that they represent!
If the PM does not do anything, then we are no better than how the other Melanesian countries used to behave, where their democracies have suffered under the ‘big man’ mentality – they can do anything they want including lying to the public, abusing public trust interfering with public boards and doing things the way they want to and anything they want (outside the law in most cases) with impunity. The concept of a democratically elected government no longer holds water when senior ministers in a government do not do the right thing!

It's totally disgusting how Fiji is allowing a liar to be the AG and expatriates like the Sri Lankans to lead us. Where have the might, intelligence and incredibly of all Fijian gone! Have all Fijians become so cowards that they cannot fight for their rights! Time this liar was told we have had enough of your fooling around.

Its is about time AG should be fired and sent to Naboro. Now is the time for opposition to put a motion in Parliament to fire and set up a enquiry on every deal this man has done. bloody liar.

Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum is a thorough bred scoundrel.just as it is in the DNA of a stingray to sting so it is in the DNA of this scoundrel to do nasty things to people who fall out of his favour.

I don't know how the Prime Minister of Fiji is taking all the bullshit and lies the AG is cooking to continue digging up the hole that they are preparing themselves to be buried alive in.

What a shame that he continues to take the same slap in the face everyday from the AG and being stab in the back from his so called supporters who only are only there for their own gain with the same boat as the AG.

What an interesting tone for a supposed CEO to take with his Board! Not only is it disrespectful, it is also grammatically challenged.

The Sri Lankan import sounds like he is more afraid of the psychotic Khaiyum then he is of the Board who ultimately determines his future with the company?

That Khaiyum sees fit to shoot from the shoulders of the CEO is even more telling. Khaiyum should be having these threatening kinds of conversations with the Board Chair not the CEO.

Clearly these spineless weasels don't give 2 figs about their shareholders but more about their longevity. It is pitiful, farcical and tragic.

Can these evidences be sent to all local media in Fiji to publicise and seek a response from the AG. This is clearly showing the AG lied to the people of Fiji and Parliament, but not sure if the public are accessible to these evidences.

What does the Constitution say?

What are the ‘constitutional specifics’ of professional misconduct, by parliamentarians, and specifically by the so-called senior ministers of the State, in the pretender 2013 constitution of Fiji?

Khaiyum’s willful LYING in parliament, with intent to deceive the People is a gross violation of the parliamentary code of ethics, if there are any. And if there are none then it should be reason enough to call for a comprehensive review of this Pretender Constitution, anyway!

Otherwise, we are back onto the punch drunk gutter and meaningless politics – which is no different from all the LYING and CHORI of the Bainimarama dictatorship of the last eight years.

Lying has to be nipped in the bud, especially in the sanctity our Parliament.

The motive of Khaiyum’s LYING in the parliament, lies in defending another unethical (and corrupt) realm- reeking of NEPOTISM, the hallmark from the dictator days.

Khaiyum like Bainimarama, is blinded in his duty to his country, by the tender love he feels for his little brother Riyaz and his very famous aunty Bano.

It is sad that some people in leadership roles today still believe that they can fool all of the people all of the time. Hallow! We are in the 21st Century! When leaders are afraid of their own shadows because of their shady existence and supported by simpletons (especially in our fearful media) these so-called leaders project the same fear directly on those they assume to be leading.
Obviously, they have not learnt from the past or from rational thinking. So they are bound to repeat it at Fiji's demise.
