"I, Ben Padarath was tortured at the RFMF's Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Suva, Fiji in February 2011. The soldiers who assaulted me included Sitiveni Qilihio. I was physically tortured and had hot water poured over me by Sitiveni Qilihio. My whole left arm was broken from my wrist to my shoulder, this arm I still can't lift above my head to this very day. During the assault as I lay on the ground in much pain and blood, Qiliho continued to kick me and used the butt of a gun to break my left wrist. 
I was beaten up at the camp for 3 days straight, drifting in and out of consciousness and once when I awoke, there was a military doctor checking my wounds and I heard him tell Qiliho, Penioni (Ben) Naliva and Aseri Rokoura to get me out of the camp as soon as possible or I could die in custody and the military would then be held responsible. I was then taken to Totogo Police Station where the Officer in Charge refused to take me into custody because of my wounds and he told the military personnel to take me to the hospital. They did, where I was admitted into the Extensive Care Unit. I spent many weeks at the CWM Hospital before I was finally released."
