We read in the Fiji Sun of 26 August a letter to editor titled 'FBC neutality' by Dr Sushil K Sharma . He tries to caution the FBC against any bias in its political reporting and coverage of the 2014 election campaign.
He identifies the following cardinal sins :
*any withholding of information
*lack of declaration of political affiliation
*conflict of interest
*biased reporting
*selective editing
*favouritism
* any other unethical conduct likely to advantage any party.
Dr Sharma says the foregoing "could be detrimental to a free and fair elections in Fiji" because " the general public may be given a distorted or one-sided picture of the present proceedings of the campaign..."
Can anyone tell me in all honesty that this is not happening already in Fiji?

1.1 Our AG willfully deceived and induced an elderly and ailing President (Iloilo) to ‘purportedly’ abrogate the 1997 Constitution. The longer these thugs and evil men rule over us, the more the incidents of torture and abuse of power by our security personnel. Men are transformed into vicious monsters who are literally worse than animals. And to know that we are feeding them, clothing them with proper uniforms and giving them rights and privileges to move around and watch over us is sad and frightening. NO, we should stop this NOW. To delay our deterrent action would be to expect even worse incidents in the future.

This is the beginning of the testing ground on the new Commissioner of police to investigate, find the killers and have the law takes it rule on those involved. All findings has to be transparent as the whole of Fiji stand in waiting for the outcome. Those involved in the killing of this innocent man (Soko) must be taken to task, etc. We must stop such barbaric acts in Fiji. The only way to stop this barbaric act is to pass a severe sentence on those involved. Otherwise,more brutal beatings, etc, would continue if the Police Commissioner is too lenient on his own men.
I firmly believe that God has the final authority on every human being because he created us and He also loves everyone. He alone has the power and the final say on who He choose to be with Him after this life. To kill a human being, beating him/her to death using brutal forces, is against the law of this country and also against God's wishes, etc and plan. It's barbaric act and such actions only comes from the Devil himself and not from God. John 10:10 says that the Devil comes to rob and destroy and takes away the life of human being. That is the ultimate aim of the Devil. No wonder, the Devil is working on men to do his work here on earth. But the God says that the Son of Man comes to give life to all and have it abundantly.
I am really sad to hear such horrific news and my prayers are with the Soko family, to the father, his wife and his three beautiful daughters. Let's us all pray for our Nation Fiji and bring back Godly love and respect that we Fijian were once renowned for. May God's peace and Love be with the grieving family during their time of sorrow.

To hear about this Talatala supporting the idiot and dictator is quite sad and discouraging. Just goes to show how devoutly religious one can be and yet be absolutely foolish at the same time.
