* Fiji Airways has in the last few weeks stopped loading  the Fiji Times onto any of their planes or routes , ONLY the Fiji Sun is allowed to be uplifted

* Fiji Airways inflight loaders have been informed that "instructions come from above"

* An email  to all the Fiji Airways crew tells them that they are "not to request for the Fiji Times for any flights as we load Fiji Sun only"

*
The department that the message came from is  ISD - Inflight Services Department - and they just load whatever specifications they are told to, supplies, equipment and aircraft servicing

* Any decisions about the company quarterly Inflight magazines, what and who goes in it, newspaper uplifts and other magazines, including in-seat entertainment, involve Marketing and Communications

* Shane Hussein, who joined the airline in August 2011, seems to get a promotion every time  Fiji Airways  gets a new CEO

* His most recent promotion, General Manager Corporate Communications, and supposedly  a good buddy of Aiyaz Khaiyum

Well guys if you do the math the writing was on the wall . FIJITIMES editorial policy is refusing to learn.
Their doggedly approach of being always on the left (for a small country) will not help. FIJITIMES should have known better especially when some of their most senior jurnos have become irrelevant in recent times
I am surprised why Air Fiji has been so kind to them this far.

Hey guys go to move with time other wise few more F-Times senior staff will be seen on taxi ranks waiting for a $2.50 fare.

IT IS TIME TO KISS AND MAKEUP

"When some of their senior jurnos have become irrelevant in recent times". Oh yes? Who says so? Like Aqela Susu who today reports on the 7yr old girl alleged victim of abduction for rape by an alleged near neighbour needing urgent surgery at Lautoka Hospital? Is that what you would term 'irrelevant' when in fact it is a specific and relevant piece of data which we and the world wish to know. Why Naibono?Because we have met with the surgeon who came in to train us in these life-saving surgeries and it is shocking that there should be a requirement for this in Fiji. Fiji is now catalogued with Sub- Saharan Africa because the vicious treatment afforded young girls and some young boys reflects what has been seen in such nations. On a daily basis we wait to see if there has been an amelioration of this primitive, repulsive conduct which we noted four years ago and listened to the litigation and appeals of those left with no coherent response at that time from authorities. The victims are getting younger? The perpetrators also? No surprise when Fiji features so prominently on recorded searches for pornography. An Australian Rugby Union-playing geneticist is about to be sentenced in California for responding to a Human Trafficking Sting mounted by FBI, US Dept of Homeland Security and AFP. He will be put away for decades we confidently hope. The child he 'shopped for' online would have been six. But he was detained before harm was done. The Fiji Times should be lauded not lambasted for their SMART attention to such crimes. Fiji Airways should know better. And so should Shane Hussein. Leadership requires courage: moral courage. The Fiji Times has it.

BTW Kiss and Makeup? You are of course kidding......Freedom of information is a paramount and a necessary and sufficient ingredient for bona fide democracy. Without it you are simply playing Pokemon Games.

Dear Editor,
One feels aggrieved by the meanness and smallness of this action by Fiji Airways. Lets hit them where it hurts. Lets fly other airlines for a while. Even if only a 1000 of us do it they would have lost about 1/2 million plus. FA board may then perhaps ask Shane whatever for an explanation for his silly action.

Well I think it's not fair deal for not allowing Fiji Times to be loaded in that Fiji airways aircraft, and to be sold in various countries and im sure alot of people reads Fiji Times but not Fiji Sun.......... I think it's very childish
