Fijileaks to Khaiyum: Where is Midlife Investments Limited file, for Registrar of Companies tells us it is still not in the system? And, if you only held $20,000 of the $80,000 loan through COLONIAL (where you were legal officer), who paid to Minister Faiyaz Koya - "Mr 895 VOTES" - and three others $100,000 when they sold their Lot 13 to MIL? And where is the Latifa Investments Ltd file, the company you owned with your mother Latifa, and in your Assets Declaration, you claimed that you have applied for the deregistration of the company; ROC informs Fijileaks that like MIL file, Latifa file is also missing from the system! VICTOR LAL TO AIYAZ SAYED KHAIYUM: In 2006 and 2009, I had accessed the Latifa file in ROC to write a story in pro-democracy C4/5 to reveal how you sold your Berry Rd property at an inflated price ($850,000) to Bright Star Investments Ltd, owned by the Tappoos; now it has emerged that the Tappoos had stepped in to save you from bankruptcy. The Berry Rd property was about to be put on mortgagee sale by ANZ Bank because you couldn't meet your repayment. And, that is why ANZ Bank is now your principal and favourite regime bank, to keep it sweet and happy. Basically, the Latifa file was in the ROC and now it has gone MISSING on your orders! And one can see the same fingerprints in Midlife Investments Ltd; MIL's registered office is cited as 40 Lovoni Rd, Suva. At the time Khaiyum was staying on this address, the property was owned by his father before he moved to his own house. Aiyaz Khaiyum says he owned only one per cent share in MIL, so who owned 99 per cent, the Khaiyum family, to whom Faiyaz Koya sold Lot 13 for $100,000? It is time a group of law-abiding Fijians travelled up to Geneva to tell the UN about the stinking ROTTEN state of Fiji that is ruled by KHAIYUM!

Hasn't kaiyum and co brought enough suffering already. Aren't their pockets and bank accounts full enough? When will these greedy bastards stop looting Fiji. God save Fiji from these vultures.

Please tell us how else? If not by increasing the VAT can equal citizenry of our Fraud Constitution be implemented? You all love to be called Fijians and not wanting to pay for it? Don’t be ridiculous, don't be self-fish, don’t whine –it’s time to give more back to your country. It only a 5% increase anyway.

Chodri you are a mathematical illiterate like the Finance Minister, a 5% increase to 20% equates to a 33.3333333333% increase in VAT... What a farce.. The last budget had an increase on cameras and perfumes that only benefitted his family associates with duty free franchises. A 33.333333 % increase in VAT is a measure of desperation and indirectly an admission of failure of this governments fiscal policies and management. It was only a few short years ago that the PM stated he would not increase VAT from 12.5% to 15% and we all believed him. Now thanks to the man he has entrusted control of our nation to, we know we can no longer trust V Bainaimarama if this VAT increase actually comes into effect.

People must understand the magnitude of the mess left behind by aunty Bano. A mess now encumbered upon our hard working Minister of Many Affairs, including Finance, Justice and Intellectual Property, the Right Hon. Chotta-Khaiyum to deal with and clear (the mess). How can he do that without increasing the Vat? Don’t only criticize –if you have an alternative suggest it.

All who backed the Fiji First Party and put it into Govt. must maintain total support for it because this is true loyalty; else you reveal yourself as the complete idiot. Regardless of the prevailing rot, nepotism, unproven corruption and the decline in good human nature and integrity of officials leading us, it is still the Party that the supposed majority wanted. Get behind the Govt., save Bala at all costs and make sure the AG hangs on to what is rightfully his. Add this bit to what Chodri is saying and we should be right mate!!

How can the poor afford this hike in VAT? Is the Government so blind or do they live on another planet? Will the Government also impose a national wage increase to accommodate the VAT increase. I think not...the poor people of Fiji....
