From a former civil servant:
"The issue of common citizenry [everyone is now called Fijian] is good on paper. Let me share my experience as a civil servant with you. Before, PSC would balance the intake at all levels meaning Indo-Fijians had a better chance of getting government jobs and promotions. This entirely disappeared when the issue of race was removed and everyone was called Fijian. Today, Civil Service is over 80% I-taukei and racism has increased threefold. Lot of people are not aware of this. [One] should check with PM's Office how many Indo-Fijians are employed there or Foreign Affairs, Provincial Development. Indo-Fijians were slowly removed by Inia Seruiratu. The fact remains, and this is the reason why the Prime Minister, did not answer the question on the make up of Civil Service in the Parliament."

I read in a book written by king of Coup- Sitiveni Rabuka who wrote:

" make things difficult for Indo Fijians and they will run away"

That is what Bai is doing!

The Ministry I used to work had 6 Indo Fijian with 18 itaukei.

Even the Indo Fijian Minister could not balance this.

I hope now Indo Fijians can see what a Monster they have supported.

This is the sad reality of Fiji and the world over. Race and religion dictates everything. People should learn to become humans first before becoming Indians, Fijians, Chinese, Arab, European, Hindu, Christian, Muslim, buddha etc

Indians in Fiji have been taken on a ride by Bainimarama- Khaiyum bullshit about " everyone " being equal in the " new Fiji " of their creation. With the kind of racists Bainimarama had in his line up from the very outset, many of them being active members of either the Rabuka mob or Taukei Movement mob of 1987, it should have sent warning signals that this new political messiah was no saviour of the Indians in Fiji. But Indians , including educated Indians in Fiji and abroad, took the Bainimarama bait hook line and sinker.
Their education is a waste because it has not allowed them to see through the veneer of falsehood propagated by this new military scoundrel and his chamchas.
Now for Indians a reminder : you make your bed you lie on it.
You have to live with the shit that is happening and the best you can do is pretend things haven't been better in Fiji which of course is Bullu shit.

Indians voted for Bai for two reasons: first the alternatives were perceived as untrustworthy; second, they were conned by a skilful hearts ands minds campaign masterminded by Qovis that papered over the cracks in the Bai Khaiyum partnership. These cracks are now starting to reveal themselves through the universal force of karma that once set in motion will see both out of office in a short matter of time
