She had entered Parliament in 2014 under the rotten d'Hondt Electoral System with a meagre 1,167 VOTES, rising to become Cabinet Minister. In 2013, she was Aiyaz Khaiyum's right-hand woman (one of the many enablers towards dictatorship), as the Registrar of Political Parties, prompting Professor Yash Ghai to state the following in his 'Notes on Fiji's Political Parties Decree':
'It is introduced by an unelected regime to establish rules for the formation, regulation, and dissolution of political parties.'
She had not intimated that she will run and join FFP as a candidate. Sadly, like many before her, her departure from Government has been portrayed as standing up for i-Taukei on the Land Bill 17. She had joined FFP in the full knowledge that her political leader and coupist had dismantled the Great Council of Chiefs and taken over the i-Taukei Land Trust Board as chairman. She became Lands Minister before moving to Women's Ministry. It acted as a springboard for the current new position.
