The Hilton offers watersports through Adrenalin and have their kiosk onsite beside the pool. the market this on their website and hilton TV as well as with blackboards by the pool. Charges for watersports appear on the room bill. We went on a jet ski tour with children and one of the girls was sexually assaulted by the staff. We went straight to Hilton management, they did not offer to seek medical attention, or even a coke for the shock. within minutes they were asking how we booked the jet ski and edging towards liability. this was so offensive considering we were dealing with a deeply traumatized child. we had to go back to the lobby several times to demand that the police show up.
Eventually a tourist policeman arrived, no uniform, no ID,no business card. He took the victim statement and promised us the offender would be arrested and charged. the Hilton offered no further assistance. That afternoon we receive a letter in our room stating that we need to keep our blinds shut so painters can paint our villa. what kind of animals think that is acceptable for a traumatized child who had been sexually assaulted hours earlier. the next morning we discover the Hilton has charged us over $1000 for the jetskiing. we had to have a screaming match to have that remitted and there are still some watersports charges on our credit card!
we go to the lobby again to meet the police officer, he is already in a private meeting with the duty manager of the Hilton! We are informed that although the offender has admitted to some (though not all) of the offending, the police have let him go and intend on leaving the investigation open indefinitely. they have also supplied the Hilton with sensitive and deeply private documents that we are denied weeks later. We would love to know why the Hilton was given documents by the police, including the victim statement, that the police told us in writing we could not have! throughout our stay we had nothing but hostility from the Hilton. they continued to have adrenalin staff on site and we had to walk past the advertising for the jet skiing everyday to get breakfast. we asked many times for them to suspend activities with Adrenalin but were told they couldn't because Adrenalin had a monopoly. Apparently children being sexually assaulted is a small price to pay for the money they make from watersports. Adrenalin has stated in writing that the Hiltons management of this has been excellent- for them, not the victim.
we have it in writing from Frederic Lebegue that the hilton will not apologise as Adrenalin is a third party contractor. What a cop out. The managements conduct in this has been disgusting. We had the reasonable expectation of safety when staying at a Hilton brand and using their facilities (as stated on their website). the true cost of a trip to the Hilton is ongoing counselling, a massive cell phone bill to the consulate and phone charges, being stuck at the resort waiting for the counsellors, police ect (with the Hilton profiting on food) and most alarmingly the cost of having to return to such a dangerous country should the corrupt police ever charge the offender. this is unlikely as their are government ministers (who accidentally copied me into an email who are very keen to protect Adrenalin and the Hilton)

Whilst staying at the hilton, we used the water sports they offer on their website as part of their facilities. This is located on the beach through a company called adrenalin.
Our daughter was sexually assaulted by a staff member. She is a minor.
The hilton after several hours called the police. They offed us no assistance. That evening there was a letter in our room informing us that we would need to keep our blinds shut as there were to be painters working on our villa. That is just what the victim of a sexual assault needs.
The adrenalin staff continued to work on site at the hilton and to get to the restaurant we had to walk past blackboards marketing the jetski safari where the assault occurred. The hilton said they would continue to use adrenalin as adrenalin had the monopoly, I guess it doesn't matter to them if the children staying at the resort get sexually assaulted. They have made no changes to protect future guests.
There are still charges on our room bill from the hilton for jetski king, I guess they think it is ok to profit from this misery.
The hilton have written to us that they will not be apologizing as they consider adrenalin to be their contractor. They have not offered any assistance, and even charged us for calls to the consulate.
For a hotel that states they are not involved, it is odd that the hilton obtained private and sensitive documents from the fiji police, especially as the same police were still refusing to give these documents to us weeks later. Maybe that is why adrenalin commented that they thought the handling of this by the Hilton had been excellent!
For us, we have a traumatized child from a very expensive holiday and no apology. Frederic lebegue has stated he believes the matter is resolved and will not discuss it. Don't stay here, they don't care about your safety and they will be hostile when you complain. Don't risk the children in your family y bringing them to the hilton, or maybe even fiji.

Dear dahavihe,
Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, managed by Hilton engages a third party vendor, Adrenalin, to operate the water sports activities available to all guests.
We are aware that an incident occurred between the guest and an Adrenalin team member during the stay and the police were immediately notified.
A full police investigation was conducted and the police has closed the case since.
The well being, safety and security of our guests are of paramount importance and we continue to ensure that all practices and standards are in line with strict safety and security regulations.

“Daughter sexually assaulted by staff- stay away” Reviewed 2 December 2014 NEW
We used Adrenalin water sports as part of the facilities offered by the Hilton. Our daughter was sexually assaulted by a staff member on the jet ski safari.
When the manager, Les Whale, was advised his first response was to tell us he could not fire the offender for fear of a employment suit. There are still jet skiing charges on our Hilton room bill and the owners, Paul and Zdenka Cook have threatened us, through their lawyer, if we went public with this.
This story was available on TV3 news. It has been a very traumatic time for our daughter. Adrenalin has not apologized or contributed to counseling costs. This is not a safe operation.
