Crawling out of the woodwork: The former failed NFP candidate and Justice Goundar's maternal uncle Keshwan Padayachi, 70, becomes Bainimarama's new political recruitment sergeant

The former Divisional Education Officer Northern, Keshwan Padayachi (pictured left) contested under NFP ticket in 1999 and received 1,756 votes. The Ministry of Education permanent secretary Dr Brij Lal used to work under this man. They are good buddies. Bri Lal reportedly introduced him to Bainimarama and now Padayachi is going around doing campaigning for the dictator. Padayachi, a former school teacher, obtained his law degree a few years ago, on retirement. He is currently Vice President of TISI Sangam national branch and is allegedly using his position to get non-South Indians transferred from Sangam schools through Brij Lal. Padayachi is also maternal uncle of regime judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

Padyachi is a show off type and no law firm in Labasa wants to hire him because this wanabee lawyer can't talk in the courtroom. Laugh of the town

Who will vote for him? Is Frank out of his mind to have him in his party???

Padyachi daughter was married to the current Acting Solicitor General - Sharvda Nand Sharma. The marriage did not last for a month!

Padyachi has stood in several election and never won.

Padyachi is never going to win.

What's wrong with people changing their political affiliation. Most fijians voted for Mara and his alliance party then moved to SVT and then to SDL.

Its likely that they may vote for FB and his party.

I think for a person who did his law degree after retirement is a great achievement. Guess people are just plain jealous about padyachi's achievements.

Jealous ? People of Wailevu Labasa are pissed of with Padyach's attitude. He thinks he is from highest Hindu caste so he won't shake hands with below average earner. He hates nin south Indians, even his son- in law who is north indian.

who will vote him?

its not just qualification but your pr should also be good.

Bainimarama is one example. He is sweet with people.
another example is Khaiyum, no one likes you because of his............

Padyachi thinks people will vote for Bainmarma.

FB will win. Hard core NFP and FLP supporters already behind FB. They don't want to see SDL win as it will be bad for indians.

Padyachi did not win but he knows who to back.

Pita2: pls get your facts right about caste and south vs north indians. Its peope like u who also use name like jaduram that bring about discrimination in the hindu religion.
