Fijileaks: We have, indeed, come a long way from THIRTY YEARS ago when 'RAMBHUKA' [God is Hungry] alias Rabuka woke up screaming that his GOD whispered in his EARS that Hindus and Muslims are vile pagans who must be converted to Christianity, for if not, 'we all become pagans'. Let us hope that this will not be the last Diwali HINDUS are celebrating this October, for SODELPA claims its leader SITIVENI RABUKA will be next Prime Minister in 2018. We must not forget that he was never a democratically elected Prime Minister, and was defeated in the 1999 general election. So we do not know if he will, once again, try and revive his 1987 DECREES, to make FIJI a CHRISTIAN STATE, free of 'PAGANS'. If anyone is looking for proof of this man's "coupweb mind", one only has to read his and SODELPA supporters social media postings. During the 2014 election, SODELPA had convinced Fijileaks to declare that the party - based on evidence on the ground and all foreign embassies and high commissions in Fiji - will WIN over 30 seats and form the next government in Fiji. We had fallen for the political scammers
but not this time around, especially now under Coupist Rabuka!
In October - shortly after Diwali - Rabuka began his "rape and beatings of pagan Indo-Fijians" in 1987
UNLIKE RABUKA AND SODELPA, the evil monster RAVANA was not dug out of his graveyard to join LORD RAMA, SITA and others for DIWALI. In his 2017 Diwali Message to Fiji's 'TENANT COMMUNITY', he claims:
“I hold warm memories of Diwali and the Republic of India from my time studying for my Masters Degree. It is wonderful that this same celebration is held in Fiji and in other countries where Indians and Hindus reside...". In November 1987, after his two coups, and a month after Diwali in October, he shut down the Indian High Commission in Fiji, claiming in an interview that 'there is no need for them to be here'. In fact, it was in India where he had begun to fear Indo-Fijian political power following the Alliance Party's defeat in the first 1977 general election. Ten years later the loser, after failing to get three jobs he had applied for while in still in the army, and convinced he would remain a third-ranking army officer, struck - releasing his racist 'firecrackers' against Indo-Fijians while exploiting gullible native Fijians to back his coup.
He had been rejected for the three positions, moaning,
"Three unsuccessful applications is not very encouraging".
He was turned down for the vacant positions of Chief Officer (Deputy Director) Rural Development, Rehabilitation and Housing, Chief Executive, National Marketing Authority of Fiji, and Divisional Commissioner (Northern), with the Ministry of Rural Development, Rehabilitation and Rural Housing. If ONLY, if only, he had been given one of the three jobs, he would not have imposed himself as Prime Minister through the barrel of the gun and would not have spoiled the October 1987 Diwali celebrations, and many more in the coming years during his reign of rape, brutality, beatings, and torture of the Indo-Fijians in Fiji, most cruelly on 24 October 1990, five days after Diwali, when Dr Anirudh Singh from the USP was kidnapped, tortured, had his hair cut, and burned with cigarette butts for burning Rabuka's 1990 racist Constitution
Bizarrely, instead of putting the torturers on trial, Singh and six others had been charged in the Magistrates' Court of Suva on two counts of (1) having burnt a copy of the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji on 18th October 1990 with seditious intention contrary to section 65(1)(iv) and 66(1)(a) of the Penal Code and (2) having taken part in an unlawful assembly on the same day contrary to section 86 and 87 of the
Penal Code

Let the spirit of truth, justice, and righteousness prevail
The National Federation Party earnestly hopes that truth, justice and righteousness will prevail in our nation in the spirit of Diwali.
“The diya (traditional lamp) symbolises the illumination of the lives of all our people to dissipate the darkness and clouds of uncertainty hanging over a vast majority our people”, says Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad.
The NFP Leader says while Diwali is perhaps the most important event in the Hindu religious calendar, it is also of significance to all people in Fiji’s multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-religious nation because it renews and builds bridges of unity, harmony and solidarity.
“Diwali is about sharing and caring each other. It is about remembering the sick and the infirm, unemployed, under-privileged and the less fortunate. And together with every citizen of our nation, it is about illuminating the nation and the night skies to defeat darkness and celebrate triumph of good over evil”, he said.
Professor Prasad also says as a first step to illuminate the lives of some of our people in the spirit of truth, righteousness and justice, the Government should direct the Fiji Sugar Corporation to reverse all deductions made from the $.9.15 per tonne top-up to the 4th cane payment made to cane growers, that has left them with a pittance.
Cane growers are also multi-racial in demographics contrary to common belief, and every one of them will have also anticipated a good Diwali.
“Furthermore, in the spirit of Diwali, lending institutions like the Sugar Cane Growers Fund and the Fiji Development Bank should refund growers the loan amounts that were deducted by FSC. These deductions have left more than 70% or over 9,000 growers with zero balances or payments of less than $1”.
“The deductions from the top-up defeat the purpose of the payment which was made to rehabilitate the lives of growers still suffering from the effects of Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston especially in Ba, Tavua and Ra districts”.
“The lives of majority of our growers and their families are enveloped in darkness. The arbitrary deductions by FSC contravene the spirit of Diwali.”
“We pray that the spirit of Diwali, its religious importance and multicultural significance prevails all over our nation and sincerely wish all our people a happy and blessed Diwali”.

HAPPY DIWALI FROM FIJI LABOUR PARTY:
Diwali is celebrated to signify the victory of good over evil but it also signifies the liberation of the people from their oppressors.
It is generally believed that Lord Rama returned to his kingdom of Ayodhya on this day, after vanquishing Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, whose demons were terrorizing people far and wide.
Following the defeat of Ravana, Lord Rama established the rule of law based on moral and religious precepts both in Lanka and Ayodhya, years that are widely known as the golden years of enlightened rule based on the will of the people.
The ritualistic lighting of diyas during Diwali is symbolic of light dispelling darkness both within us and outside. It is a time for cleansing and the beginning of renewed life.
The Fiji Labour Party wishes everyone a happy and blessed Diwali but calls on people during the festivities to heed the message of Diwali and to learn from the life of Lord Rama.
He was a king who ruled justly, putting the wishes and interests of his people ahead of his own desires, even to the extent of sacrificing his own family life to keep his subjects happy.
