And yet these two Police Officers, who are also accused of RAPING the late Viliame Soko, are part of Qiliho's Investigation Team against Brown!

Fijileaks: It is time the local media confronted Qiliho over the composition of the investigation team as alleged by ACP Henry Brown; there is nothing in the Media Decree from stopping them and if the 'media mongrel' Raj comes out with his whip, he should be told to 'b****r off!

Why is it that I am neither shocked nor surprised by this Fijileaks revelation? When you have thug rule in the country these sorts of thing become pretty much the norm. The law and civilised behaviour is for ordinary citizens . Not the thugs in power and their mates. They can do whatever they like. And, that is what's been happening in Fiji - for people who want to see. Many prefer to turn a blind eye to protect their own backside and vested interests.

We learn from the Canberra Times article ' Vladimir Putin ' probably' ordered KGB defector Alexander Litvinecko's death by radio active poisoning : inquiry ' ( 22/01 ) that this is what a year long British inquiry has concluded.
Sir Robert Owen who led the inquiry said Litvinecko' was deliberately poisoned with radioactive element polonium 210.
The two men litvinecko met on the afternoon of the poisoning were former Russian army officers. One, Andrey Lugovoy was a former KGB agent.
The British have issued a warrant for their arrest but Russia has not extradited them.
Sir Robert said there were powerful motives for organisations and individuals within the Russian state to take action against Litvinecko, including killing him.
" Mr Litvinecko was regarded as having betrayed the FSB ... Was an associate of leading opponents of the Russian regime and he had repeatedly targeted President Putin himself with highly personal public criticism. In one article published the year he was killed Mr Litvinecko claimed Mr Putin was a paedophile....
During the inquiry Mr Putin awarded Lugovoy an honour for " services to the fatherland ". He is now a member of the Russian parliament.
In a deathbed statement Mr Litvinecko accused Mr Putin of direct involvement in his murder.
An independent expert, Oxford University's Professor Robert Service who studies Russian history told the inquiry the evidence supported the accusation though it was at present " unprovable ".
Home Secretary Theresa May told Parliament the reports finding that the Russian state was probably involved in the murder was " deeply disturbing " and a " blatant and unacceptable breach of fundamental international law ".
People guided and governed by the Rule of Law with regard to a State's ( any state) relationship with its citizens must find the finding deeply disturbing.
It is the behaviour of a rogue state.

I totally agree with Ambassador Jacob's statement in allowing Fiji citizens' some Access to Justice.

Minister Praveen Bala is in desperate need for some 'Access to Justice' since apparently a Magistrate can't be found to hear his case of Drunk driving and Citizen killing.

This EU ambassador fala would have done very well in FIFA president Sepp Blatter's shoes. Like him ambassador Jacob acts the ostrich regarding all the nefarious activities going on in Bainimarama and Khaiyum's Fiji with his cliched commentary about giving access to justice to Fiji citizens. What a clueless high profile official merely going through the motions here . It is under the watch of such spineless officials that shit happens unhindered.

Entirely agree Chiku. Jacobs tries to present himself as diplomatic and being pol neutral. But to many of us, he, like Blatter are nothing but weak career men without moral principles. Money and power have corrupted them and stripped them of any genuine sense of justice, truth and righteousness. Their jobs and their self importance dictate their ethics and they have very little or no use at all for countries such as ours that need international condemnation of acts and policies that are fundamentally wrong, evil and unjust.
