FACING UP TO DONALD TRUMP'S BAN ON THE MUSLIMS: FACEBOOK founder Mark Zuckerberg stands up to Trump, reminding him of his own family's history and immigration to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Fijileaks: "First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to
speak for me."

"My great grandparents came from Germany, Austria and Poland. Priscilla's parents were refugees from China and Vietnam. The United States is a nation of immigrants, and we should be proud of that.

Like many of you, I'm concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump.

We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat. Expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats would make all Americans less safe by diverting resources, while millions of undocumented folks who don't pose a threat will live in fear of deportation.
We should also keep our doors open to refugees and those who need help. That's who we are. Had we turned away refugees a few decades ago, Priscilla's family wouldn't be here today.

That said, I was glad to hear President Trump say he's going to "work something out" for Dreamers -- immigrants who were brought to this country at a young age by their parents. Right now, 750,000 Dreamers benefit from the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that allows them to live and work legally in the US. I hope the President and his team keep these protections in place, and over the next few weeks I'll be working with our team at FWD.us to find ways we can help.
I'm also glad the President believes our country should continue to benefit from "people of great talent coming into the country."

These issues are personal for me even beyond my family. A few years ago, I taught a class at a local middle school where some of my best students were undocumented. They are our future too. We are a nation of immigrants, and we all benefit when the best and brightest from around the world can live, work and contribute here. I hope we find the courage and compassion to bring people together and make this world a better place for everyone."

This is not a Muslim “ban,” but rather a temporary suspension of citizens trying to enter the U.S. from seven nations that have the highest percentages of radicalization and terror involvement. Its obvious that the left continues to deliberately misconstrue the premise of the presidents executive order. The list of countries came from Obama’s Department of Homeland Security, not thin air. Obama barred Iraqi citizens from entering the U.S. in 2011, but no one protested then.

Full marks to Leone Voasataki for his succinct and lucid explanation which is so crystal clear.

Those who are capitalising on this as "muslim ban" are simply dreaming. Thanks again Leone for putting the facts damn right.

Interesting to note Zuckerberg's thoughts: "We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat. Expanding the focus of law enforcement beyond people who are real threats would make all Americans less safe..."

I really sympathise with Americans who have been grappling with some very difficult issues (senseless, sporadic but sudden jihadist attacks which they call terrorism) but the events of the last few days following the ban clearly shows that they're still a long way from grasping what's really at stake.

But can these people help it given what American society is about or has become. Same with Europe and most western nations. Its seems that they're slowly waking up to the reality that they're quite ill-equipped to win this ideological battle.

So Trump reacts as is expected of Trump - by adopting these draconian measures (which I think isn't going to be "just temporary"). Cocooned in his Trump Towers for so long counting his gold, he thinks he can just make the bad realities of our times disappear with his sledgehammer. Poor man.

Trump is clear with his intent to make America safe, strong and prosperous. As a 70 year old self made billionaire his strong business acumen make career politicians cringe and tin-pot coupists pale in comparison. Trumps ambition, vision and promise to America will define his destiny as President, he certainly is poised, if successful, to be the greatest President ever.

Time shall tell... Though Trump could do much in the meantime to bolster his presidency (if not his reputation), by releasing his tax returns.

His sledgehammer approach clearly misses the countries where "actual terrorists" have hailed from, due to vested interest ie. the presence of his business interests in those countries.

Sorry, did you say poised for greatness?

It Is Temporary Measure

Trump did put into his campaign that there will be a stop of Muslims into USA temporarily to work out how to deal with screening the terrorists from the good guys. So this 3 month ban is perhaps to await his team draw up a boarder screening process to Muslims from these countries.

After all it takes half this time to have visa processed and those who do will have a FAMILY MEMBER IDENTIFIED TO USA so the impact to those shall be minimal.

Opponents are hyping up and politicizing as anti Trump team best does with Soros money to sell their soul.

President Donald J. Trump Statement re Executive Order Concerning Extreme Vetting’ released this morning from the White House:

“The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror,”

“To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion - this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 countries that are majority Muslim not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.”

Trump ban on Muslims we understand but Commodore Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama ban on Fijians in Fiji and most Fijian left the country ;for his inhumane leadership.
Just like what lucifer wrote in his memo:"Politics is one of the best ways to drag our human food down here to hell.We have manage to insert a lot of moral issues into campaign lately ,like TC Winston relief fund, new HELLth care etc.Its funny to hear alleged people say,'you cannot legislate morality' at the same time they support law against murder and rape."
Tik Tok Tik Tok.
