FINALLY CONNECTED: Three RURAL Cakaudrove schools connected to national internet network. Thirty years after Cakaudrove Coupist Rabuka, his elites and chiefs swindled National Bank of Fiji of millions in LOANS

1/2/2022

Fijileaks: Coupist Sitiveni Rabuka never ordered an inquiry into the collapsed National Bank of Fiji for he was acutely aware that among those who swindled the ordinary i-Taukei of millions of dollars in soft loans were many from his Cakaudrove clan, including his paramount chief, the late Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau, and his family. Thirty years later, Rabuka has formed his own political party, PAP, and wants not only to become Prime Minister once again (the NBF collapsed to the debt of $220million under his Prime Ministership, 1992-1999) but wants to form a post-election coalition government with National Federation Party leader BIMAN PRASAD. His kai vata from the NORTH has been screaming for years, both inside and outside Parliament, that his party has never supported coups nor has cut political alliances with COUPISTS.

THE ACTING PRIME MINISTER and Ministry of Communications Aiyaz Khaiyum and his team travelled through rural Cakaudrove to connect another three schools - Dawara District School, St. Paul Primary School, and Wailevu East Primary School, to national internet network

All three schools, and the teachers and students they serve -- now have internet access for the first time. "There's plenty we could say about the benefits of this new internet access," School manager and parent – Akesa Kuruwale of Dawara District School. "We would have to travel to town to access the internet for my children's research materials and get the relevant learning materials."

"These were the small sacrifices that we made for our children to enhance their knowledge. However, now with the connectivity, we can access information anywhere at home or even in school."

"I would like to thank the Ministry of Communications and other relevant stakeholders for ensuring that such services are provided to Fijians, like us at Dawara, and we are grateful to be chosen as one of the schools to access reliable and efficient internet services." Fiji Government website

* Who borrowed over $100,000 on behalf of the Cakaudrove Provincial Council from National Bank of Fiji and for what, and whether the loan was paid back?
* We may recall that Ratu Epeli Ganilau owed NBF $631,594 and Ratu Inoke Kubuabola owed the bank over $198,000.
In 1995 the two were listed as Directors of the Cakaudrove Provincial Holdings Limited. One gave his occupation as FMF Commander; the other as Cabinet Minister
