NAVUA Farm was once owned by Lyle Cupit. FLP had interest in purchasing it from Cupit to resettle the displaced people from Muanaweni and the farmers. SVT then came on board outwitting FLP and paid a colossal sum of over $4M on the pretext of opening a farm for the unemployed youths - Viti Corp. Guess who got the cuts? Fast forward now to Tebara Meats purchasing the same after change of several hands. Then came Ganesh Chand from FNU, paying $1.5M, purchasing it from Tebara Meats. Now, CJ Patel and Company rumoured to want the Farm!

Here's just a sample of my concerns regarding some of the various matters that really troubled me during my short time at the FNU, ultimately prompting my resignation on 20/8/14:

2. My concerns about the purchase of the Navua Farm by the VC from Tembara Meats without Council approval. VC has a long close and personal friendship with Tembara's MD Firoz. VC forced me to join DF attend Firoz's residence on 28 July for Eid lunch during normal FNU business hours from 2-5pm. I felt very uncomfortable with this arrangement.

There is ONLY one kind of justice in Fiji since the thug rulers grabbed power in 2006 : selective justice.. It has become pretty much the norm.

You seem to have selective memory Chiku. The selective justice started in 1987 after the coup by your saviour tabulated with the blessing of great council of thiefs. In the article, it talks about SVT derailing FLP's effort to resettle farmers by paying a hearty 4million of taxpayers money to the cupit family. You seem to have selectively missed that point.

Ganesh is probably one of those people in history who has made history by really milking the system. When he was in parliament, he plundered and looted the system with the housing fiasco. He used every opportunity presented to him in order to advance his own goals and profit from every opportunity financially.

It is shocking that he continues to flaunt his lifestyle in full view and no one seems to be really looking into the sudden wealth of this man. It is even more shocking hearing tales of his past from former students during his days at the USP and the fact that he was unchecked even back then.

We believed that the agriculture scam was a big issue (simply because of the amount involved) however it becomes a drop of water compared to the sordid and very corrupt things Ganesh has been involved with.

Indeed Ganesh has made history, by creating now 2 new universities in Fiji. It has made USP rise up to the occasion as well. What I cant understand is Ganesh was sleeping with enemy, why was he let go. There are others who are equally to blame if Ganesh has done anything irregular, including the current Minister for Education.

Why was he let go, and why cant the authorities to be pin anything on Ganesh.

Fiji Leaks has touched on this quite well. He was let go, due to the CJP issue and the Land issue, and the whole milking affair of Rewa dairy, the aunties, the election funding, etc.

But Ganesh was the only one who stood up a few days after the elections and rightfully stated that the current Lot in parliament has a lot to learn. How right and prophetic is that?? Could that be the reason?

Pre-election real estate value was pretty pathetic.

Ganesh paid for the Navua Farm a mere ($1.5 Million) then - Now post-election the same far exceeds the value that SVT paid for in 1999 (i.e $4Million).

For arguments sake, if CJP as an interested party purchased this Navua Farm for a realistic $F6 Million, then the FNU is set to make a net investment profit of $F4.5 Million.

Now what is wrong with that??

FICAC investigation and government golden handshake leads me to genuinely believe that FNU VC was fired for altogether different reasons on the light of this revelation by Fiji Leaks.

I don't know about Ganeshwah making history of any kind - unless it's the toady kind associatedt with African despots. But he has certainly made a lot of money by putting his scruples to one side in pursuit of his ambition for power, fame and self- aggrandisement . And this scoundrel was in the Fiji Labour Party making out he was of a socialist bent!

Mahendra Reddy has indeed done sweet buggerall on standing up for Indo-Fijian rights! Like that other academic Ganesh Chand he has been concentrating on feathering his own nest. And, the primafacie evidence presented by Fijileaks does show that Mahendra Reddy did Kama Chuthra the taxi drivers wife.

The non-advertisement of significant posts in other tertiary institutions is not unique to FNU. This took place on 3 September 2012 for the position of Registrar despite protest being raised by council members including student body representative. It was also necessary to adjourn meeting while a proper means of recording the meeting was sought. Blatant disregard for the proper process was observed. But the appointment was achieved with utter disregard for acceptable standards of governance.
