Last November, Fijileaks was tipped off on the new appointment but Coming soon: Discrimination in FNU's Department of Levy and Grants! "Staffs are not allowed to use personal phones during working hours. If any staff has to attend to an urgent call then he needs to leave the office, by the time you leave the phone is disconnected. But again this only applies to those who question the Manager about this. However, the manager charges his phone and answers calls in his personal phone when in office. Does this rule not apply to him as he is the manager???" From Fijileaks Archive:

The new appointment is certainly welcome news. Prof Healey does have the necessary background and academic leadership to take on the job. Further , given the new VC comes from an external environment it is expected that he would have the independence and fairness in dealing with so many critical issues pertaining to academic integrity and staffing issues facing FNU.

Kavita's comment is strange. By all measures, FNU has been a huge success. Kavita should name any University in the world which achieved such success in 5 years from its start. The success is attributed to one man - Dr. Ganesh Chand.
