"The appointment of Dr. Tim Kantara as Assistant Professor. The file records show that the interview was done in August 2014 and the file was kept with Prof Rouse in his Dean CMNHS office. The file was never processed until he became the Acting Chancellor and had the authority to appoint."

Look let me explain the situation. In 2006 after rogues started to rule the country other morally bankrupt people came, even from overseas, to ply their trade or join the rogue regime .

The Chinese saying A Time Of Crisis Is Also A TIime Of Opportunity is instructive here. It is often also a time of opportunity to the crooked variety. They thrive on crisis. Post coup developments, the appointment of people not on merit but because they were regime lackeys bears that out.

This is the worst form of HR practice. FNU teaches HR but practice something else.
All this problems can be resolved by appointment of Director HR. Can Iqbal Janif the Chancellor of FNU tell us why the position of Director HR is still vacant when the position was advertised in July 2015 and it has been 4 months since then. I know some quality people applied and they can do the due diligence. If Iqbal cant do the job might as well resign and let the capable person do the job but we as people of Fiji fully know that Iqbal himself is not meritious appointee as he does hold Phd degree. God bless Bai Kai's new Fiji where majority of the top key position holders are not merit based hence idiots like mortein man, mohd Saneem, Iqbal Janif, Xavier khan and others hold positions and pay but on their own act like monkies similar to their godfather the monkey minister.

Fiji Leaks

Totally support Injustice.
Please conduct a full investigation of the vacant positions of Director HR at USP & FNU. These positions were advertised nearly 8 months ago, interviews done and yet no appointment. It is a fact that Jannif FNU Chancellor and Rajesh USP VC are colluding and manipulating the outcome. It would not be suprising that the positions are in limbo as they conspire to boot out the recommended candidate - which could be the same person recommended by the panels at USP & FNU.
We look forward to Leaks on these 2 cases.

IJ is not the VC for both Uni's. He resigned from one to take over the other, so get your facts right. Had people who were bestowed with powers done the right thing, there would not have been a need for any intervention.

Editor,
Appearances are deceiving
Read the letter with the above title in The Age 27/11 by Grant Nowell and see if it does not remind you of someone on the political scene at home in Fiji.
Grant writes :
" Syrian president Basher al- Assad receives subdued and soft criticism in some circles.Yet he has shown over many years that he is capable of monstrous crimes against his own people. You see images of him wearing a neat, tailored suit, white shirt and silk tie. His hair is neatly groomed with product. He is clean shaven and his black leather shoes full of shine and polish.
Maybe his support may not be so gushing if he stood there with a big beard, sandals and loose fitting traditional robes with a head scarf?".
Who does Grant's description of dictator Basher al- Assad remind you of in Fiji?
Someone who like Assad looks the complete caricature of a colonial twit and lies like him as well?
One cue : He is not restricted to wearing white shirts only. You might even spot him in pink!
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Having had first hand experience of how the FNU elites treated staff, I can vouch that the allegations are probably true. Making Iqbal Jannif the VC is another corrupt appointment. How can the VC who does not meet the qualifications of a VC expect to enforce minimum qualifications requirements for other positions in the University? He will end up being a rubber stamp for subordinates and the mess will just get worse. Its no wonder FNU cannot get recognition for its graduates...I sense a one eyed decision maker in this...

FNU is the most corrupt institution in Fiji..period. It shows the back scratching is bleeding but it wont stop. It shows how people in authority refuse to accept the common thuggery , but look away and target the innocent instead. sick sick sick.

It seems thuggery is being promoted by the government and supported by their supporters who have been blinded by FREE stuff.

sick sick sick

Frank Bainimarama basted to a business forum in Malta this week that his "revolution" where he overthrew the legally elected government and established his military rule had removed the factors that hindered progress. This man must be blind. What his revolution achieved was making himself and a tiny coterie of advizers rich and powerful while the poor remained worse off. The removal of the old standards of good conduct and fair play has resulted in the rise of a parasitic flotsam of mediocre individuals from the lower stratum of society who now grace our public institutions with the FNU being just one of many

FNU students are forced to sit the final exams at Muslim hall in Suva. The hall get very hot as there are no proper ventilation. Students complained last trimester but this trimester again, exams are held there. Trying to keep Kaiyum and his supporters happy with taxpayers money. Shame on FNU for treating students like a political pawn.

Once a beacon of pride as an independent institution with elite students , now in a muddle with FNU!
Very sad.

Editor,
The much respected legendary athlete and current president of IAAF Sebastian Coe has been accused of a conflict of interest and has as a result step down from his one hundred thousand pound role as as a Nike ambassador under growing pressure .
( read fuller details in ' Sebastian Coe steps down from ambassadorial role with Nike " The Guardian 27 Nov ).
At least he has done the honourable thing not like some other people we know who continued in his position despite the widespread perception of conflict of interest.( see Fijileaks archives).
Well some people have some self- respect. Some others have none.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Nothing new. What Ian Rouse did in Business Department. promoted Louisa underwood who had no performance in previous contract and was demoted. Vikas Autar, Manager kitchen. failed and deported from USA for drug offence. man getting cuts from companies like Hotel Equipment and that's where he buys all item from. Vikash also to all his families in to locations where they don't even meet MQR.

Jag Ram who was on Temporary contract as a driver got 5 years contract without interview. This was done by Dr Mahendra Reddy as he is having affair with his wife. Before they were 2 drivers and now 4 drivers for the same amount of work, so its easy to get the families to work.
you will see under Ian Rouse, all went from bad to worse,
what a selection from Mahendra Reddy and his team in Government.
The best Judges are the students, ask them and they will tell you what all is happening in FNU
