FOR YOUR DIARY: Fijileaks will not be updated between 4 to 10 JULY; When we resume, we will reveal how SODELPA MP chief swindled one of his subjects out of her land to stand in last election and save his house!

And, as promised, we will reveal the DIRTY CORRUPT DEALINGS of Fiji's COUP DADDY and racist Sitiveni Rabuka, now chosen to lead SODELPA. And, Oh, how Ro Teimumu Kepa, Laisenia Qarase and a few others promised the former NFP president Tupou Draunidalo a new "political nirvana", only to leave her high and dry, to launch her HOPE party. They have switched their loyalty back to Rabuka to whip up old naked native Fijian nationalism as they plot to take on FijiFirst Party at the polls. It has also emerged that Rabuka and four SODELPA linked native Fijian lawyers failed to come to the help of their youth wing leader  Jope Koroisavou when he was locked up recently for protesting against TORTURE. Fijileaks: The LIU MURI culture is still so rife in Fiji!

Editor,
The Higher The Ape Climbs...
Talking about swindling we learn from today's Fiji Times (6/7 ) that Education Minister in the Fiji First Government Dr Mahendra Reddy has appeared before the Suva Magistrate's Court on corruption related charges ( ' Education Minister charged with bribery ' ).
If the charge is true then Minister Reddy has apparently not put Fiji first. He has put himself first. Is he the only one who has been doing that?
It's said the higher the ape climbs the more it shows its arse.
Is that academic turned politician Dr Reddy's story?
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Dr Mahendra Reddy's story is the story of a mediocre academic turned political opportunist who joined the Bainimarama gangster government after the 2006 military coup for his self aggrandisement and advancement. As an academic, albeit a mediocre variety, he should have known joining the gangster government was a case of riding the tiger ... I bet he knows that now!

Tell you what if you take away the Liu Muri culture the Fijian culture will cease to have its authentic character. And tell you what else the Fiji Indians have further enriched the Fijian Liu Muri culture with their own brand of the agge-pichea culture.
The two ethnic communities have complimented each other very well in this one regard..

Editor,
No Denying The Dark Past
The Frontier War [ Killing Fields] research by Newcastle University and the mapping and publication of 150 massacre sites in Australia provides further prove of Australia's " violent colonial history ".
I say further because several eminent historians ( Professor David Day author of Claiming a Continent and Professor Manning Clark to name two ) have previously documented the atrocities committed against Australia's original people, the Aborigines but their view of history has more often than not been discounted. Among the deniers of Australia's brutal past we have the former PM John Howard.
Now the Aborigines have always been acutely aware of the horrors that visited them during early colonial rule. It is for the rest of Australia to acquire an understanding and appreciation of what the First Nation people have gone through. It won't do to act the ostrich and pretend the horrors did not happen. Researcher Professor Lyndall Ryan made that clear in her abc interview on 5/7 when she said " we should not be afraid of the past ". We should acknowledge it. In America she said that part of history is openly being acknowledged. As an advanced First World democracy Australia should do the same to be seen to be a progressive country.
In Fiji we need to acknowledge the horrors visited upon the peaceful people of Fiji by military coupists and their civilian political cronies.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Thankfully ADI Teimumu saw the Iight and did not recruit Topou Draunidalo to a leadership role in SODELPA. Draunidalo was then head of another party, the NFP. So how can anyone condone jumping of the ship? Just because her Mum is if royalty does that make her qualify for leadership? Ordinarily she is just a barrister who does not deserve any special treatment. Let her compete like everyone else in the modern era

Well if that was so, than Qarase threatened Fijian unity threatening GCC meeting post Speight coup, to form another party if GCC failed to support his views.

So he had ditched SVT to form SDL. He used $20m FHL loan converting to grant, to buy off the chiefs who ditched SVT. Then he used Agri scam to buy rest of voters.

Now the heavy weights in the SODELPA are ditching the middle ground forces to try retake their place against FFP.

BUT $$$$$$$ are NOT with SODELPA and with Rabuka's SVT this time around to hand out.
