That is the kind of diplomatic political culture the political class have institutionalised. Diplomats are not ordinary human beings doing a certain job. They regard themselves and are regarded by others as Demi- gods. The rules of civilised human behaviour, the norms of socially acceptable behaviour, the laws of the land do not apply to these Demi- gods as they apply to to mere mortals.

Unfortunately we have our own local Demi-gods who are protected by current Laws for the coup of a legit government then governing by force, abrogating the constitution, creating a new one to give them immunity from prosecution and helping themselves to the public coffers. We even have proven killers in govt; one as PS and the other a Minister who has been avioding the courts!! Fiji laws reaching out to that qora diplomat may just be a far-fetched proposition.

You too right about the local scoundrels masquerading as political leaders of the country. It's a national shame to have such thugs as rulers.

The South African is an ass and if he thinks he can get away with the law of the land with his diplomatic immunity, he can think again. The law of attraction works if you like it or not, whether you know it know it not...asshole, what goes around comes around. But when it comes around, it will be so many times fold over idiot.

Having 111 percent alcohol and driving at 200 KMPH and killing the family bread-winner...and South Africa will grant this wild animal immunity??

I couldn't agree more. A very insightful comment.

South African Journalists should grill (braii) Groenewald about torture and deaths that happened to suspects under Police custodies in Fiji during his reign as the PolCom, there.
