I don't the trust the Frank Bainimarama and his command for all donations to go through the National Disaster Management Office so that it goes to the right people. The right people for Bainimarama means his Fiji First Theft party supporters. He has demonstrated that "right people " notion by favouring his business cronies by handing over parks to them for commercial enterprise.

If that's the way you feel then don't bother contributing. The people of Fiji do not need you bad karma at this time.

Excuse me but is this the same Frank Bainimarama who fraudulently took over $180,000 in taxpayer money as " back pay" after fraudulently grabbing power?
Is this a case of Dracula demanding to guard the blood bank?

I for one don't have any faith in the government nor the ngo's. Better decide for myself whom to assist wid my contribution. Government is known for widespread abuse. NGOs for double dipping and profiteering from other peoples suffering. NGOs are the only people who are happy when a natural disaster strikes. No better example that Alison Cupit, former director general of Red Cross Fiji. It's a pathetic excuse for an NGO driven solely for making money from peoples suffering. Racism and partiality is the order of the day. A sympathetic face to show with the evil face hidden from the gullible donors.

Why PM's relief fund. Why not Ministry of Finance Bank a/c with National Distaster Mgmt Fund Trust Fund Suffix?

This way The Min of Finance transfers funds into NDMO as the work progression demands.

So Min of Finance advances relief funds to NDMO from their emergency funds. When donation arrives that gets offset as deposit to the same a/c. When the donation is not enough then the MOF again drops in money from the MOF emergency budget.

Was LAST PM's Cyclone relief funds AUDITED?

The Disaster management Office is FFP's bank.It will absorb whatever is deposited there and all the citizens can forget about accountability/transparency.FFP has a track record of not giving the financial reports or Audited accounts, yes it will ask you (citizens ) to provide yours.Given the massive destruction caused by TC Winston, the donations coming to our shores will obviously be huge. The foreign countries have just started to pour in aid in the form of cash or kind, believe me it will be massive. The Govt. under the stewardship of the AG,ASK the Finance Minister has bigger plans. These funds will now be utilized in feeding the FFP supporters until the next election. The Govt. very well knows where its supporters live, and there will be and how to reach them and of course how to neglect them.... Unfortunately not many can see this.FFP is serious, they will grab every opportunity to stay in power.Winston is their leverage. The Govt. will now make a quick recovery from the unpopularity it went into by imposing VAT of 9% on basic food items....freebies and handouts are proven to be the best campaign tools. It works.

Vili remember a time of crisis is also a time of opportunity, for the crooked and unscrupulous. Frank Bainimarama and his Fiji first theft party have a history in this regard. You acting like an ostrich to refuse to see that is of no value. The truth cannot be denied.
