Fijileaks: We had also entered the 'Uproar' condemning Lynda Tabuya for having the temerity to suggest that the Hindus should celebrate their Diwali on Monday, and not on Sunday, for Government has designated Monday as Public Holiday in Fiji. We pointed out that if Sunday was so holy for her and her Fijian Christians of all races, why was she jumping up and down in Hong Kong on a sigatabu day, dressed up in rag dress, made out of Fiji Times newspaper cuttings. Sadly, most Hindus have no choice but to fill up Diwali coffers of businessmen who are FFP donors.
Sitiveni Rabuka, in his Diwali message, to his fellow Fijian Citizens and Countrymen in Fiji and Abroad: '
"Before sharing my Diwali message I would like to reiterate the gist of what I said which was aired by FBC News on the 11th November 2020 that I do not agree, nor has the Party authorised comments made by Honourable Lynda Tabuya regarding Diwali. SODELPA as a multi-racial party and its core value is to embrace and respect the right of individuals and freedom of religious association as enshirned in the 2013 and the Party Constitution...Happy Diwali"

Aiyarse would jump at any opportunity to shame others who are better and more qualified than him, even if it means politicizing religion such as this debacle between Christianity and Hinduism over whether or not to "light up" Diwali with a fireworks fuse.
