SWEET DAY PHOTOS: Fiji Sugar Corporation chief Abdul Khan ties the
KNOT in a lavish wedding at Denarau, Fiji; last January, FSC staff claimed to Fijileaks that Khan was abusing his position, driving his now bride around in FSC car while clamping down on staff. He allegedly used his position to give her a pay rise. Khan did not respond to questions sent
to him. Anyway, Congratulations to 'Sugar Daddy'!

Col. Gaddafi called opponents and critics, sewer rats, cockroaches, and chickens who he will hunt down door to door and lobe off their heads. At that time he thought he was all powerful and nothing could touch him. But we know what happened to him subsequently. He was pulled out of a water Calvert like a sewer rat and a knife was shoved up his arse before he was shot dead.
Ashneel Sudhakar would do well to keep that in mind when he makes the kind of arrogant noises he makes. God forbid he has to see the day Bainimarama and Khaiyum are gone and he is standing stripped off the power and arrogance he enjoys currently.
Fortunes change in politics . Remember that Mr Mortein Man!

Editor,
A Wrong is A Wrong.
Here's something the lawyers in Fiji can learn from British trained lawyer Javed Iqbal Jaffry about righting a wrong.
Javed has filed a petition in Lahore High Court - naming the Queen and the British High Commissioner in Islamabad as respondents in his case - for the return of the Koh-I- Noor diamond which was acquired by Britain in 1849 when the East India Company annexed the region of Punjab.
The Koh-I-Noor which is the centrepiece in the Crown Jewel was once the largest diamond in the world.
The mission to retrieve it has been a lifelong cause for the London trained lawyer who has written786 letters to the Queen and Pakistan officials before filing his lawsuit.
" Koh- I- Noor was NOT LEGITIMATELY ACQUIRED " he wrote in his filing. " Grabbing and snatching it was a private, illegal act which is justified by no law or ethics. A wrong is a wrong. It does not become righteous or right by passage of time or even acquiescence ".
He argued that Britain " forcibly and under duress " stole the diamond from Daleep Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh and spirited it to Britain.
It kind of reminds one of the dubious manner in which the government of Fiji was acquired by some people in 2006.
Does the passage of time make that right?
We know lawyer Javed Iqbal Jaffry's answer to that.
We need not bother with the vested interest opinion of certain other Pygmy lawyers in Fiji.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Little things please little minds . So it was with Steven Singh of Sydney who wrote in to the Fiji Times (10/02 ) to say he " nearly ripped the armrest off his couch watching top gun Savenaca Rawaca going toe to toe with Sony Bill Williams and not backing off. Savenaca was pumped and finished off with a daring gaze. Way to go, brother".
Wow! Is that really the way to go? Was that what the rugby contest was about? Who won the match? The winning team had a better idea of " the way to go". And, pumped up ( or was it puffed up ) Savenaca was not a part of the winning team that took top honours at the Sydney 7s. Sony Bill Williams was.
If this is Steven Singh's idea of showing off his Fijian patriotism, it is a stupid, superficial way. There are many like that in Bainimarama and Khaiyum's new Fiji.

If like Savenaca Rawaca all the other 6 players on the field gave
" daring gaze" to their opponents Fiji would have won the match.
That was all that was needed, right Steven Singh?

The Mortein Man seems to always have a way of dodging serious questions by giving different answers instead of answering them straight.
