GET HIM
: FRANK Bainimarama told his boot boys to get Bilitaki after the singer/songwriter and former schoolteacher made a phone call last Friday to the dictator asking him to return a CD containing a song he had written for FijiFirst Party about four months ago. Instead, Bainimarama swore and shouted at Bilitaki. That same night, at 10.30pm, Bilitaki was taken from his home by armed soldiers to an undisclosed location and abused, slapped, and punched inside a 'Pajero' type vehicle with one of his army assailants screaming 'Look at me, I am from Naitasiri and I am going to KILL YOU'; afterwards he was locked up at the Totogo Police Station, and now Police have charged Bilitaki under Aiyaz Khaiyum's Section 376 of the Crimes Decree with the offence of ANNOYANCE - Yes, repeatedly phoning FijiFirst (Fist) Party leader Bainimarama to return the CD - it was Bilitaki's property right, contained his music talent and the CD was his employment and wealth creation - in any case, it was Bainimarama who had given Bilitaki his private mobile number to phone him for the CD; intriguingly, shortly before the election, Bilitaki was informed at the last hour that he was appointed the Government Polling Agent for the Lami Convent School in control of 4 polling stations there. The Elections Office is yet to pay him (and many others) for his services as a polling officer during the election. So, from a respected and trusted polling agent Bilitaki has been transformed into a common criminal - all because he made that fateful mobile phone call asking Bainimarama to return the musical CD he made for FijiFirst Party. Swan Song for Bilitaki?

WELCOME TO DICTATOR'S NEW 'DEMOCRATIC and FIJIFIST GOVERNMENT OF FIJI'

'The allegation of assault against Mr Bilitaki is void of all truth '- Fiji Police Commissioner Ben Groenwald

FIJILEAKS: Recall this SAME LYING REGIME LACKEY'S COMMENT RE DEATH OF ROBBERY SUSPECT VILIKESA SOKO: Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald said the deceased was known to be sickly, had refused to take medication during his stay at the hospital and had internal bleeding.

SOKO'S grieving family WAS not convinced by police claims he was not beaten. His father, Jeremaia Soko, said his son was not sickly but had visible injuries to his body.

STATEMENT FROM COMMISSIONER OF POLICE

"I am aware of the case of Mr Joseva Bilitaki and can confirm his arrest by a task team on Friday 26/09/14 at about 2230hrs.

He was detained at the Totogo Police Station for the alleged offence of annoyance which is in contravention to Section 376 of the Crimes Decree.

On Saturday 1500hrs Mr Bilitaki fell ill and was released and taken to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he received medical treatment for high blood pressure.

I visited him earlier today and he is in a satisfactory condition.

The allegation of assault against Mr Bilitaki is void of all truth.

I am urging people not to jump to conclusion on what they read on social media.

The case is under investigation and will be submitted to the Office of Director Public Prosecution once completed.

The interference of military personnel in policing issues is unacceptable and will be discussed with the relevant authority.

B.J.J GROENEWALD
COMMISSIONER OF POLICE"

Before Frank was a "benevolent" dictator. Now he is "democratic" prime Minister and a Dear Leader. That's why he sent for his military thugs to go and ONLY rough up the old man. Remember what these thugs are capable of...

PolCom Groenewald categorically DENIES any assault on Bilitaki as in his own words “void of all truth”.

The only thing we find VOID is your head, Mr. PolCom, of is some ‘grey-matter’ in between your ears.

You have been caught LYING to the people of Fiji TWICE, Mr. PolCom.

Here is Crozbie Walsh's taking as he posted it:

UNCLEAR BOUNDARIES BETWEEN POLICE AND MILITARY RESPONSIBILITIES.. There have been conflicting reports on on the arrest of Bilitaki. This is my take on what happened. Josefa Bilitaki (60) was arrested for an alleged offence of annoyance (presumably his text messages to the PM) by a "task team" of four soldiers (who had no authority to make an arrest) last Friday night and taken to the Totogo Police Station in Suva. He was not beaten up, as the social media claims, and was released the next afternoon suffering from an unrelated health issue and taken to the CWM Hospital where he received treatment for high blood pressure.

Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald has visited Josefa in hospital and says he is in a satisfactory condition. The PC berated people for jumping to conclusions about what they read in the social media (but the matter may not have come to his attention had they not spoken up). He is satisfied Josefa was not assaulted, and he is most concerned about the action of the military ("The interference of military personnel in policing issues is unacceptable and will be discussed with the relevant authority.") The "case is under investigation and will be submitted to the Office of the Director Public Prosecutions" when completed.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International (assuming the social media complaint was valid, and ever quick to jump on any demeaning story from Fiji) is calling on the authorities to urgently investigate events leading up to Mr Bilitaki's hospitalisation This is already taking place. If, however, the PC's report is accurate, there was no assault and no reason for AA concern.

The real concern is that junior officers became involved (how did they know about the text messages to thje PM?) and then took it on themselves to act in what should have been solely a police matter. A military spokesman, obviously referring to this case, has urged people with complaints against the military to report to the police. He did not say whether any action was being taken against the officers involved in Josefa's arrest.

The boundaries of responsibility between the police and the military need to be spelt out very clearly. Based partly on the Fiji Times report.

One thing the POl Com has not denied is that the task group of four were not police officers who went and arrested the old man.

Mr Commissioner, what charges re you laying against these four - at least an abduction charge to start of with as they were NOT authorised police officers tasked to do your policing job?

Where is RFMF Commander... he did say around the elections time that the RFMF was once again going to involve themselves in politics.

Is this what he meant i.e. to send his military men out to arrest / assault citizens post elections? if not then what charges are they working on conducting for unauthorised arrest / abduction even if the old man was purportedly not arrested.

Mr. Bilitaki – Sir, when you wrote that song for Bainimarama’s CHOR party, did you then or at any point afterwards, realize that Bainimarama and Aiyaz had STOLEN the name ‘Fiji First’ from -us the original owners??

Were you knowingly helping ‘Intellectual Property Thieves’ - especially being an artist and all?

Eio, these two (Bainimarama and Aiyaz) quite shamelessly and ruthlessly STOLE our name ‘Fiji First’ from us by stealth.

We also felt very hurt, deceived and very powerless at the time.
But have faith – Mr. Bilitaki - ‘Uppar Wala - Saab Dekko!’.

Death cert of late Vilikesa Soko shows cause of death as Left Pulmonary Embolus (embolism): This is caused by a blood clot in the leg that breaks loose and travels to the lungs. A blood clot in a vein close to the skin is not likely to cause problems. But having blood clots in deep veins (deep vein thrombosis) can lead to pulmonary embolism. Causes of Pulmonary Embolus include being inactive for long periods, recent injury or surgery that involved the legs, hips, belly, or brain. RIP Mr. Soko.

I have identified the following voids : 1. in-between the Police Commissioner's ears. 2. in the professionalism and the spine of the Fiji Police Force ( but that is to be expected because the reality in Fiji is that Fiji is still a Police State. The police play second fiddle to the military which is the main prop of the dictator cum pretend"democratic" PM. They call the shots. The police obediently follow.

If he's writting that song for the First Party, he must have been a supporters for the party. Now it's too late to change their mind. This is the Fiji they wanted. After all the torchers and murder that get swept under the carpet they still voted for him. I think it's fair to say this is the Fiji they voted for for the next 5 yrs. 5 na yabaki ni tagi kei na vosota. Isa noqu viti.

Fiji's transitioning from Stockholm Syndrome to Battered Slave Syndrome. Oh how I hate to see you like this!

"Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, tell me the truth
I'm a shoulder you can cry on
Your best friend, I'm the one you must rely on
You were always sure of yourself
Now I see you've broken a feather
I hope we can patch it up together

Chiquitita, you and I know
How the heartaches come and they go and the scars they're leaving
You'll be dancing once again and the pain will end
You will have no time for grieving
Chiquitita, you and I cry
But the sun is still in the sky and shining above you
Let me hear you sing once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita
Try once more like you did before
Sing a new song, Chiquitita!!!

I used to go and wash the car of the white expatriate police boss stationed at Ba Police Station ( and you know what expatriates demanded from people who did a job for them then: a very thorough job), He would give me 10 or 20 pence for my thorough job. I knew that was not right. I mean I was in class 7, class 8. I knew I was being exploited. But we came from a poor family. There was no such thing as pocket money. So it was not uncommon for poor kids to do any odd job to get any money - especially to go watch wild west movies with John Wayne or Kirk Doughlas in it!!
But my point is this. Just because you have a white expatriate Police Commission don't take it he will always do the right thing.
