If so, can these former post-coup interim regime cheerleaders be described as "Regime's Pimps' who perpetuated tyranny on Fiji?

Rajendra Chaudhry's post raises questions of wider import: was his father Mahendra, Daniel Urai, Felix Anthony and others also part of the inner circle who plotted the coup with Frank Bainimarama?; US ambassador Larry Dinger has revealed what Mahendra Chaudhry conveyed to him:

Biggest regime whore of all

If Nazhat a regime whore, then Mahendra Chaudhry a recovering regime whore? As Victor points out, as interim Finance Minister Mahen lent invaluable support to Bainimarama in the early, crucial days of the coup.

Either Rajen Chaudhry totally lacks self-awareness to label others regime whore when his dad was the biggest regime whore of all - joining Bainimarama to block investigation in secret bank account - or Rajen thinks the public are fools with short memories.

Public have not forgotten, judging from the kick FLP received on backside in last election. Rajen is only against Fiji First because his father was kicked out by them, then humiliated in court over tax evasion (the $1million fine must have cut deep).

The election loss added insult to injury. Rajen is blaming Indians, and inciting indigenous Fijians through his facebook hate speech. By labeling fijians 'cowards' and goading them, the goal is to start a race war to punish Indians and get revenge against bainimarama.

Rajen is trying to use Fijians for the Chaudhry family's personal agenda. Just like his father used Indians for his political ambitions and to amass wealth in the fundraising scam, exposed by Victor's investigative journalism.

Like father like son.

Fijileaks is no better than the lamentable Rajendra Chaudhry in repeating his disgraceful attack on the estimable Nazhat Shameem and I am astonished that you would give any weight to it whatsoever.

For a start, she is Fiji's permanent envoy in Geneva and represents a government elected by 60 per cent of Fijians in an internationally supervised poll. As the ILO is also Geneva-based, she has been intimately involved in the negotiations thus far so, of course, it is only natural that she play a key role in the latest talks.

What is more egregious is the appallingly sexist nature of this attack. "Regime whore"? The "regime" is an elected government, however much Rajen Chaudhry and Fijileaks still have trouble coming to terms with the fact. And the "whore" happens to be not only a person of unblemished character but a distinguished lawyer, judge and diplomat who is serving the Fijian people and the government they chose.

By way of contrast, Rajendra Chaudhry is a person of no consequence who owes practically his entire station in life to the patronage of his father and the doors he has opened for him. Arguably, his own behaviour when he was on his father's staff as prime minister played a significant role in his downfall. But as his subsequent behaviour has reinforced, his capacity for self awareness is nonexistent. He appears to spend much of his time in the company of those who supported his father's removal in the 2000 coup - a sure sign of intellectual and emotional turmoil. And while he professes to be a devout Christian, his public utterances are frequently obscene and offensive. He is a man in terminal mental decline.

Rajen's potty-mouthed, scurrilous and defamatory attacks on those who incur his displeasure are as well known as his increasingly tenuous grip on reality. He cannot return to Fiji because of the number of writs that await him. But while he fires off his poisoned arrows from the relative safety of Australia and NZ, he is highly intolerant of anyone who questions his own position.

In my own case, he banned me from his Facebook page after I raised the issue of his own financial position and how he might have benefited from the largess his father enjoyed from his Indian patrons. It is an issue of legitimate public interest given the nature of those donations - which Fijileaks has also pursued - but one that Rajen clearly doesn't want explored. So while he can dish it out, he has a very poor record of taking it.

I have no issue with this miserable exile venting his spleen so long as he keeps a reasonably civil tongue in his head. But his attack on Nazhat Shameem is unwarranted and demeaning not only to her but to women in general. And shame on Fijileaks for repeating it.

Great post Graham, but you totally missed the context in which Fijileaks posted Rajen's attack on Shameem. It was to expose and challenge Rajen. One can't do that on Rajen's facebook page, as you found out yourself. Only on Fijileaks we can take him to task. Well done Fijileaks.

How the son of a thieving, lying, CONVICT perceives other people is of no consequence.

We RESPECT Madam Shameem, for she is perhaps the last of the endangered species who has some (albeit diminishing) respectability and reason left in this government of a Party of Intellectual Property Thieves, Liars and a shamelessly Corrupt cabal of individuals.

If the ILO needs to convince the Fiji Government to change its draconian policies towards the long-due (internationally accepted) workers’ rights than obviously it is not the unshaven, IP Thief, PUPPET who will need to be convinced but Madam Shameem. Her inclusion in the Government Team may well prove to be advantageous to the workers and their Unions. But let’s see.

Graham Davis interpretation of " regime whore " is a misinterpretation, a distorted interpretation. The definition of whore by The Free Dictionary : A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain. This definition of whore applies equally to Mahendra Chaudhry and Nazhat Shameem. Both Rajendra Chaudhry and Graham Davis ignore this fact for their own self- serving reason. The former because he is anti- Bainimarama regime and the latter because he is a well known regime propagandist.
Finally I do not share Fiji First Party's optimistic view regarding Madam Nazhat Shameem's inclusion in the Government team to negotiate an advantageous outcome for the workers and the trade unions of Fiji.
With her alignment with the Bainimarama regime ( the dictatorship now pretending to be a democracy with all the paraphernalia associated with it ) Madam Nazhat Shameem is a part of the problem.
Not the solution.

Seems like Victor Lal and Fijileaks have run out of stories to publish!

I have branded Nazhat Shameem the Regime Whore for her role in the December 2006 takeover and subsequent events. Shameem was the only judge appointed under the 1997 Constitution who joined the treasonous Bainimarama regime post abrogation and benefitted handsomely from it.

She was responsible for overseeing the prosecution of high profile political opponents of the regime and is alleged to have drafted the various criminal decrees and openly lectured organisations and persons on the various regime decrees.

In doing, in my view, so she sacrificed whatever judicial principles she had for money. It is this conduct of hers that led me to tag her as the Regime Whore and I stand by it.

Victor's attempts to draw an analogy with Mahendra Chaudhry joining the interim administration at the request of Iloilo post 5 December 2006 is weak at best. Chaudhry was not a judicial officer. He was and remains a politician. He acts on the direction of the FLP.

Conversely, Shameem as a judge was duty-bound according to the judicial oath she too, to act impartially at all times but chose not to do so. As said earlier, she joined the regime as a consultant and ostensibly for money, hence the tag Regime Whore.

That is the truth and I stand by it.

And neither Fijileaks nor the cowards who blog on it will deter me from speaking my mind.

Chaudaru was not a judicial officer, but experienced Gov't Auditor, longest serving PSA Leader [20+ yrs], hence well aware of laws.

Then he was Prime Minister, and Finance Minister in 2000. But he opened a private bank account in Baroda bank. He did not take the Japanese donation to Australia... but did hide Indian donations from across the world into Australia and NZ for the son to benefit from and maybe pay the rent for his home and office.

Unfortunately the Shameem's did not apply laws to charge politician whore for abuse of office like the Vanuatu bunch of politicians...!!!

Politicians were pimping judicial officers so they could gain as employees of Sports Council, FSC, Interim Finance Minister in Whore Regime...!!!

In June 2012, FLP claimed: 'Mr chaudhry was pressured into accepting by certain prominent members of the business community who were anxious to have the economy put back on track.'

There was no mention of Ratu Hilohilo!

Whatver Naz did after leaving Judiciary is not Rajend's business.

But his father after the coup re-emerged as interim paisa minister!

The ILO must be briefed on the story of Baini pocketing all that ‘long service leave pay’, which he was NOT entitled to and let the ILO tell the People of Fiji which international ILO convention allows such atrocious misappropriation of WORKERS’ tax –straight into PM’s pockets.

The ILO must understand where Bainimarama’s anti-Union bias is based upon. Bainimarama is a Leave Pay Chor.

Mahen Chaudhry "acts on the direction of the FLP". Haha! Graham is right. Rajen Chaudhry's capacity for self-awareness is zero, or he is delusional, or thinks the Fiji public are fools.

The FLP was a one man party, with imbeciles like Lekh Ram, who danced to mahen and his son's tune like puppets, which eventually destroyed party.

Under failed party leader mahen and his chamchas, the party's sole aim became to serve interest of chaudhry khandan - Prime Ministership for Mahen at any cost, job for beta Rajen and gelia (girlfriend) Asha Lakhan, and source of illicit wealth for the family, which funded Rajen's law firm.

Good on you Victor for exposing the hypocrites and hypocrisy, which is a hallmark of good journalism.
