Chaudhry had opened the ANZ bank account in NZ shortly after he was released from Parliament by George Speight who was merely a front man for Frank Bainimarama and other nationalist and racist native Fijians; by the time FIRCA cornered him, the NZ account was estimated at $400,000!

Fiji is “characterised by intimidation and thuggery, arbitrary and vindictive dismissals, abandonment of principles and personal betrayals, official misinformation and media censorship, and the deliberate perversion of
state institutions.” -
The late Michael Green, NZ High Commissioner to Fiji, whom Khaiyum had deported out of the country and had declared him persona non grata; now the same Khaiyum is in New Zealand with a begging bowl for help!

Question is can Khaiyum be TRUSTED to do the right thing?
Answe is no he can't be trusted. He is a lying lawyer. He stole the Fiji First Party name. He is not a man of integrity. I wouldn't donate a single cent to any fund raising by him. Give instead to reputable civil society groups who have a track record of serving the people. Khaiyum is about serving himself and his cronies.

If anyone has any doubts about whether Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum can be trusted consult Professor Yash Ghai, the constitution making expert who was hired by Khaiyum to frame an unnecessary new Constitution for Fiji, only to see his work ( the draft constitution) literally burned and he tufted out of the country.

Yes, that is a very common problem : the insolence of office; the arrogance of power.
Many have displayed symptoms of that political disease in Fiji since the 2006 coup and others before it.

Reality Can't Be Denied
The aftermath of Cyclone Winston - the deaths, the destruction, the devastation and the destitution - is a reality that cannot be denied, cannot be hidden.
Likewise the reality of what followed the Bainimarama coup of 2006 cannot be denied, cannot be hidden try as the usurpers attempted to do.

Now what part of this did not constitute the reality of post coup Fiji?
Why were people persecuted for pointing out this reality?

Fijian Community has been giving through those organisers and working with various ngo's in Fiji. So who is Khaiyum collecting for?

Fiji First Party has in excess of $1m in their party funds. Then they are collecting parliamentary allowance well in excess of their admin costs by self made laws.

Can Khaiyum tell NZ how much of those funds they have which is from public purse and private business donations have they donated to the Cyclone Fund?

If he cannot show any evidence, then we shall think twice.

Donate wisely, Kai kai are prepared to give you audit report.Bai kai do not want to crook and any money from the donated fund like Mahen. There is no news of any FFP MP giving any donation from their salary. like the opposition MPS. Saten Sharma of Tarana Radio had assured to the Donates that Bai kai will show the audit report to them after taking their shares of hard work.

No Minister must deal with donations to the Cyclone Relief Fund. There must be a law on this. And no donation should be made to any minister. That should be outlawed.

I agree a full 100%. The existing system lends itself to abuse. And when you have politicians with questionable scruples that is an inevitability .
