"The land owners gave the 50 years lease and the Government had nothing to do with it. TLTB just works according to the wishes of the Landowners...We have already met with the Attorney General [Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum] and are also working hand in hand with other people of different faiths like Hindus and have signed contracts for contract farming with them and we are also working closely with the Chancellor of the Fiji National University Mr Jan[nif] who is himself a Muslim."

"The group opposing Grace Road in Fiji are also from South Korea and they have been in Fiji for over 30 years. They want to be the only controlling body for any Christian Group that comes from South Korea. If you are a Christian Group from South Korea and you do not want to subject yourself to their control then you will be branded as a cult. It is really about who is in control in Fiji for South Korean Christians."

"We follow the principle that was followed by Joseph, the son of Jacob, when he went down to Egypt to prepare for the great famine that was foretold by the dreams of the Pharoah. When the famine finally hit the World at that time, Egypt became the sole source for food and grain which ensured the survival of many nations at that time."

Fijileaks: What is the true story?

GRC President: The true story about Grace Road. Please refer to this link on our official press release:
http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=340816

Fijileaks: There is hardly anything on where you got your millions to make all these big investments in Fiji?

GRC President: All the Church members are also shareholders in our various Commercial Arms. Everyone holds equal amount of shares from the President right down to the members. They are all investors and also work in their various Companies. We are here simply as a Church Group who believe that Fiji has been chosen by God to prepare the World for a major famine and drought that Christians all over the World believe will one day hit the Globe. We follow the principle that was followed by Joseph, the son of Jacob, when he went down to Egypt to prepare for the great famine that was foretold by the dreams of the Pharoah. When the famine finally hit the World at that time, Egypt became the sole source for food and grain which ensured the survival of many nations at that time. The same concept is being used by Grace Road and other Christian Groups like the Seventh Day Adventists etc and even some European Governments, who are storing all kinds of seeds in a bunker in the North Pole somewhere. Our members do not only believe what other Christians believe in; we go a step further like other Christians in practicing what we believe in. The members themselves fund the entire operations of Grace Road.

Fijileaks: Are you involved in criminal activities or money laundering?

GRC President: There is no Criminal Activity or money laundering going on. We  have honest intentions. We have already met with the Attorney General [Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum] and are also working hand in hand with other people of different faiths like Hindus and have signed contracts for contract farming with them and we are also working closely with the Chancellor of the Fiji National University Mr Jan[nif who is himself a Muslim.

Fijileaks: The Government made no announcement that it has leased land for 50 years?

GRC President: The Land owners gave the 50 years lease and the Government had nothing to do with it. TLTB just works according to the wishes of the Landowners.

Fijileaks: What about the complaints from Pacific Harbour residents?

GRC President: Regarding the residents of Pacific Harbour complaining. The matter is between one neighbor in particular and the matter is pending in Court and I cannot discuss it any further but generally Grace Road members are suing that neighbor for throwing rocks at them, resulting in serious injuries sustained to the head and legs of Grace Road members. Criminal charges have been laid against that neighbor in addition to the law suit.

Fijileaks: Are you being worshipped like a DEITY, Pastor Ok Joo Shin?

GRC President: No, I am not being worshiped like a deity as rumoured. I work as a labourer like everybody else. I love and care for Fiji and firmly believe that Fiji is the chosen Country by God.

Fijileaks: Is Grace Road Church a cult?

GRC President: Allegation about Grace Road being a cult is all false. The Presbyterian Church Council of South Korea had issued a Certificate of affiliation to Grace Road last year after they had called me in to examine me on my tenets of faith and doctrines. I was given a pass as holding mainstream Christian beliefs. The group opposing Grace Road in Fiji are also from South Korea and they have been in Fiji for over 30 years. They want to be the only controlling body for any Christian Group that comes from South Korea. If you are a Christian Group from South Korea and you do not want to subject yourself to their control then you will be branded as a cult. It is really about who is in control in Fiji for South Korean Christians.

FAMINE AND MIGRATION: About two million Indians, fleeing poverty, crop failures and famine that were a frequent occurrence during the period of British colonial rule in India, were shipped by the British Raj to work as indentured labourers on tea, sugar and cotton plantations in British colonies in Africa, South East Asia, the West Indies, and the Fiji Islands:

I am an agnostic. In my view all religions are cults some more fanatical than the other but all follow the same tried and tested BS and that is mind control using literal translations of various texts be it the Bible, the Quran or what have you. Just reading through the interview it is obvious that these guys Grace Road that is may not be as fanatical as other well known cults however believing literally in a 3000 year book puts them in the cult category for me. Of course religious folks are free to disagree with me and that's fine by me.

I also could not help noticing how she mentions the fact that she has met ASK without elaborating what for. Its almost like a stamp of "can do what ever you want in Fiji" if you have met the AG.
Oh by the way the tamani masipolo that people subject themselves to in so far as the AG is concerned is alarming. Its almost like a cult on its own. THE AG CULT. It even sounds good.

Again animal farm anyone.

It is only " logical" that the Grace Road cult leader should meet with AG,Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum. He is after all the main gatekeeper in Fiji. If he gives his blessings, the green light, for someone to go ahead with something, then it's all clear. The rules will be bent, arms will be the twisted and palms will be greased to facilitate you.
Seeing Khaiyum first is the best way to do business in Fiji currently.
Every man and his kuli knows that.

I totally agree with you Alibaba, but although it may not appear as a cult but GR church possesses all the characteristics of cultism. If you understand the language and have seen her preaching you would agree with me. Recently one of my friend, a long time follower of Shin, has left her husband and her children in Korea to join the GR group in Fiji, of course, with no remorse.

What about the famine happening in SubSaharan Africa, in Ethopia where people are dying from starvation and children suffering acute malnutrition ALREADY?
Why not focus there instead of what will happen in n the hypothetical future?

Good point. The people in Ethopia and similar places have nothing for these religious parasites to swindle and take advantage of.

Is Grace Road Church a cult?
Of course it's a cult. It makes no difference what the leader of the cult says . She predictably denies it is a cult. Remember the maxim if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's a duck. Grace Road Church has all the attributes of a cult. So it IS a cult.

Why would God - anybody's God, Hindu, Christian, Islam, Sikh, Budhist - chose Fiji for anything? Is it God or just the Grace Road gang who chose Fiji because Fiji has a regime with a record of lack of transparency, accountability and public scrutiny and hence easily manipulated ? God choosing Fiji is just a fairy tale which intellectually challenged and morally bankrupt people, politicians will buy.

Editor,
The way of the cult.
About 3000 couples from around the world have taken part in a mass wedding at the South Korean headquarters of the controversial Unification Church .BBC 20/02.
Many of the couples had met just days before and had been matched by church authorities.
Founded by late Sun Myung Moon the church has been accused of brainwashing but his followers revere him.
Critics have described him as a charlatan.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Excuse me for asking but did God choose Fiji for Cyclone Winston's wrath?

The members do NOT have any investment shares in their "Commercial Arms". The only thing they share as member is working for FREE as they are made to believe they are doing GODs work. They are separating families and only preaching parts of the bible that they want to use to manipulate their followers (like most churches too). They add an extra twist of a lot of truth and add some edited stories and justify it with the true interruption of the chosen one, Ok Joo Shin.
They have brainwashed my wife who went to Fiji beginning November (with the church since June `15) and have not heard from her since. So many things being done against the bible all done with NEW interpretations as Ok Joo Shin sees fit.

Hi, my mother is also involved in the cult and I was actually stuck there 3 years ago. I have been trying to find other families affected by this. Please email me at s.chang96@yahoo if you happen to come across this.
