*Prakash's exit is very unusual and against all diplomatic protocols. His exit from service whilst in New Delhi and when Biman Prasad and Charan Jeath Singh are in India is most disrespectful of the host country and sends a very wrong message to India.
*The normal practice is for Fiji to send agremon to India and await acceptance of host country. Once the host state, India, accepts the credentials of the High Commissioner designate then the High Commissioner is recalled. To keep the High Commissioner post empty is disrespectful of the host country.
*It seems the Coalition government is bereft of diplomatic protocol.
*You can't send a junior officer in a Charge d'affaires capacity to represent Fiji in functions attended by Cabinet Ministers, Prime Minister or President of India. What message are we passing to India? Our Second Secretary or Counsellor is equivalent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi or President of India. This is being disrespectful and undiplomatic.
*Whatever happened to the New Zealander JAGANNATH SAMI's rumoured appointment to replace Kamlesh Prakash?
*He has been partying with family and friends since last December, telling all and sundry that he is off to India as Fiji's new High Commissioner, and yet Fiji is mum on his appointment.
