(1) Qiliho threatened former Fiji Sun publisher Russell Hunter in February 2007 saying "coming to get you" if Sunday Sun did not retract a rather silly piece on Bainimarama run by Leone Cabenatabua. Hunter could hear the sound of drinking in the background. Cabenatabua told Hunter at the time he'd also been threatened and told Qiliho he had a heart condition. He gave Qiliho Hunter's mobile number

(2) The Fiji-born academic Professor Brij Lal was slapped and spat at by Qiliho at QEB while in detention before his deportation to Australia

(3) Qiliho was also behind the death threats to deposed Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, who received a phone call in 2007, in which a person who identified himself as calling from the Fiji Military Forces Camp threatened that he (Qarase) would be killed on arrival, if he returned to Suva

(4)
Qiliho was behind the Deuba fire and the burning of the villa of Fiji Court of Appeal judge Justice Gordon Ward

(5) And many others who stood up for democracy and human rights

It's naive for anyone to think this Fijian military thug would be arrested when he comes to Australia for a one year study . Politics is governed by political expediency not morality. Now with Fiji's purported returned to democracy via a phony election it's back to business as usual for the Australian political and business class.

Lets see what Brij Lal and his 'pro democracy' mob in Canberra will do when Qiliho gets there.

Lal is so Gandhi that he would most probably say “Hey, Qiliho, since you are here...you might as well spit on my other cheek”

This is the "new" and "better " Fiji the dictator Frank Bainimarama and his adviser in chief Aiyaz Khaiyum have created where military thugs who committed human rights and civil rights violations get rewarded with state sponsored study leave.

Editor,
We learn from Human Rights Watch report ' Dispatch: India a Shoot First, Ask Questions Later by Meenakshi Ganguly' that on the evening of Sunday July 26 Dubeswar Nayal and his wife Budi walked up a hill from their village in Pangalpadar in the India state of Odisha to make a phone call. They wanted to speak to their sons who work as labourers in Kerela state. And the mobile signal is stronger up on the hillside. It was the last conversation either of them would have. They were shot and killed by state security forces and then tried to cover up the killing until community protest brought the truth out.
The killing is not an isolated incidence.
The latest incidents are indicative of serious human rights violations in India's campaign against Maoist insurgents. Too often security forces shoot first and ask questions later..And because under Indian law security forces enjoy effective immunity from prosecution, they are seldom held to account.
What a shameful state of state security when the security forces kill innocent civilians they are supposed to protect.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

It won't happen. Qiliho is a relatively minor rogue military man if the allegations of his abuse are true. Remember Australia laid out the red carpet for the Sri Lankan president and military general Rajapaksha even though he was deemed a war criminal by the UN for the whole scale slaughter of Tamils and the rape and torture of Tamil women.

Well the Aussies have bought into the con beef democracy and election that was far from being supposedly "free and fair" when it was actually more far-fetched in favor of Bhaiyum and his cronies as mentioned by Chiku. So therefore, Qiliho's acceptance is no big deal despite many demanding that he be arrested for his part with Frankie.
