PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has called on political leaders and parliamentarians not to politicise Fiji's presidency of the United Nations Conference of Parties 23rd (COP 23) meeting in Bonn, Germany, in November this year.

In a ministerial statement in Parliament yesterday, Mr Bainimarama said the call by political party leaders that he should not be travelling the world talking to leaders on climate change, and leaving the task to Fijian diplomats, showed the lack of knowledge of the Opposition.

"The leader of the National Federation Party (NFP) issued a statement questioning the priority I am giving to COP 23," Mr Bainimarama said.

He told Parliament that in Prof Prasad's strange view of the world, he was spending time on something that the NFP leader did not think was important. Source: Fiji Times, 7 February 2017

Can we question the PN's own knowledge of climate change? For example, can he say he studied physics at secondary school and at university to give him the knowledge ti understand the cause of climate change? He is just a naval officer by training and all he does is read speeches written for him and vetted by Khaiyum who is really the one running the country. Frank is just a puppet and parrot for Khaiyum. Aunty Nur Bhano and other more sinister forces behind them. President Donald Trump is right. Climate Change is a hoax. There is an old Malay saying 'the higher a monkey climbs up a coconut tree the more it exposes its ass." Frank will reveal more about himself as he travels the world peddling his diplomatic bullshit

Climate change is the most urgent and critical challenge confronting planet earth, humanity and all other life forms. This is a conclusion based on empirical evidence that intelligent leaders, scientists, environmental activists and those people already threaten by climate change have come to. But quite FRANKLY I am not convinced that Frank Bainimarama, the coupist military general reinvented as prime minister, is the ideal person to " lead the world " in meeting this challenge.
But it's part of the ritual of international politics that leaders from here and there are picked up to take up leadership roles on different things from time to time. So we have Bainimarama in that climate change role. Once Saudi Arabia had a leadership role in the United Nations Human Rights council or some such thing...

A Top Climate Scientist Blows the Whistle on Shoddy Climate Science (NASA) SHARE ARTICLE ON FACEBOOKSHARE TWEET ARTICLETWEET PLUS ONE ARTICLE ON GOOGLE PLUS+1 PRINT ARTICLE ADJUST FONT SIZEAA by JULIE KELLY February 7, 2017 4:00 AM The NOAA ‘corrected’ data they didn’t like and — surprise — didn’t archive the evidence. A former top scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has stepped forward to expose the malfeasance behind a key climate report issued just before the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference in 2015. The whistleblower, Dr. John Bates, led NOAA’s climate-data records program for ten years and reveals stunning allegations in a lengthy Daily Mail exposé posted February 4. His main charge is that the federal government’s top agency in charge of climate science published a flawed but widely accepted study that was meant to disprove the hiatus in global warming. Bates accuses the study’s lead author, NOAA official Tom Karl, of using unverified data sets, ignoring mandatory agency procedures, and failing to archive evidence — all in a “blatant attempt to intensify the impact” of the paper in advance of the conference. The study, “Possible Artifacts of Data Biases in the Recent Global Surface Warming Hiatus,” was published in Science magazine in June 2015, just a few months before world leaders gathered in Paris to hammer out a costly global pact on climate-change mitigation. It refuted evidence from other climate-research groups that showed a major slowdown in rising global temperatures from 1998 to 2012; the slowdown was a sticky little fact that threatened to undermine the very raison d’être of the conference. Climate activists were sweating over the acknowledgement by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2013 that “the rate of warming over the past 15 years . . . is smaller than the rate calculated since 1951.” The IPCC walked back its own predictions from 2007 that short-term temperature would rise between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius. The IPCC in 2013 “concluded that the global surface temperature ‘has shown a much smaller increasing linear trend over the past 15 years [1998 to 2012] than over the past 30 to 60 years’ and the rise in global temperatures was ‘estimated to be around one-third to one-half of the trend over 1951–2012.’” So Karl, the former head of the NOAA office that produces climate data, worked with a team of scientists to challenge the IPCC findings and prove that the hiatus did not exist. He claimed to have developed a way to raise sea-temperature readings that had been collected by buoys: He would adjust them by using higher temperature readings of sea water collected by ships. “In regards to sea surface temperature, scientists have shown that across the board, data collected from buoys are cooler than ship-based data,” said one of the study’s co-authors. It was therefore necessary, the NOAA scientists held, to “correct the difference between ship and buoy measurements, and we are using this in our trend analysis.” Now get ready to be shocked. This dubious methodology concluded that the warming trend for 2000 to 2014 was exactly the same as it was for 1950 to 1999: “There is no discernable (statistical or otherwise) decrease in the rate of warming between the second half of the 20th century and the first 15 years of the 21st century.” The study then concluded that the IPCC’s statement about a slower rise in global temperature “is no longer valid.” (It takes a lot of chutzpah to out-climate the international climateers.) The study was cheered by climate activists and their media sympathizers around the world, but Bates says the study had major problems. “They had good data from buoys,” he told the Daily Mail. “And they threw it out and ‘corrected’ it by using the bad data from ships [a natural warming source]. You never change good data to agree with the bad, but that’s what they did so as to make it look as if the sea was warmer.” Bates also said the study ignored satellite data. And in the most Obama-esque move, Bates said that the computer used to process the data “suffered a complete failure” and that none of the data had been archived or made available as required by NOAA rules, which means that Karl’s paper cannot be replicated or independently verified. According to Bates, the NOAA is drafting a new version of the report that will reverse the flaws in Karl’s report. For now, Science magazine is standing by its publication of Karl’s study, claiming it underwent “rigorous peer review” and dismissing as “baseless and without merit” any notion that the study was rushed to coincide with the Paris conference. I agree with Gulong. Climate change of the version peddled by the UN and its various agents is based on spurious data. Many of us have been doing our research on that, as an extension of our own knowledge and experience for over 40 years. For those of us who doubt this, please do your own research to ascertain the truth for yourself.

Try googling Global Warming- Cimate Change a Hoax, download documentaries available on this debate. I can offer you more references but do your own research and assess for yourself.

Behind this global movement is an agenda which is sinister, evil and darker than the perils of climate change that people are selling us. Ultimately, the UN and the people behind the veils intend to bring about a single global government. One way to achieve this is to convince the world that the threat of global change is greater than each nation's capacity to deal with it. hence the need to come together, stand together and fight together to help us contain or reverse the so called life threatening trend in climate change due to global warming. Ultimately, they want nations to surrender their sovereignty to a One World Government.

Please find out about the scandal involving the University of East Anglia. Read about how NASA and other "reliable" sources doctored the data to determine the results and make the false conclusions.

In short, CO2 does not cause global warming. The global climate has undergone changes over time and it always seem to behave in a way that suggests that nature has its own self correcting systems in place.

Finally, think about this. Why would the rest of the world support an intellectual moron like Bainimrama to champion this hoax??? Simple. Baini is an idiot but a desperate despot under immunity. He feeds on the acceptance of other leaders to give him a sense of legitimacy, respectability and moral authority which he depends on to continue to fool people in Fiji. Has any journalist ever done some serious research about Voreqe's own knowledge and understanding about basic science, water, rain and boiling water???? Forget about the comples topic of global warming and sea level rise. He does not even understand the basic scientific process of evaporation and condensation, decay, pollination and fertilisation, etc, etc Forget about the sun and the galaxies and the cosmic realm.

So folks, as Gulong said, the more he reads his speeches about topics and issues he does not understand, the more he tells the world how absolutely stupid, foolish, desperate and morraly deficient he is. Sadly, the world also gets to know about how we in Fiji have come to allow such a criminal and ignorant clown to become the PM.

Editor,
Climate change is very real. According to Professor Michael E Mann author of the book The Hockey Stick and Climate Wars some states in the US has acknowledged the serious threat of climate change and have made significant progress in addressing it " even in the absence of leadership at the highest level in the US" ( abc news 9/2 and again with dr Karl on 12/2 ).
At the highest level of leadership in the US ignoring hard evidence and rushing to irrational decision making has become the " new abnormal".
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu
