We have evidence that contrary to the Constitution, Viliame Naupoto has
not resigned from FFP to act as acting army commander?

* RFMF top brass SNUB their former Commander Ratu Ganilau's Birthday

10 October: Happy Birthday for Ratu Epeli Ganilau and as tradition dictates, the RFMF arrives to sing Happy Birthday to its former Commanders; in this instance, they came on Wednesday and asked Ratu Ganilau what sort of cake he preferred, and then they came back to inform him that  they couldn't celebrate his birthday since his name was nominated by SODELPA for president; Ratu Ganilau was also not invited to attend the Independence Day parade

“The Prime Minister had been the longest serving RFMF Commander and coming to wish him Happy Birthday this morning has always happened during his term as Commander and after 2006 and we do that for our former Commanders,. We do that for Colonel Paul Manueli, Ratu Epeli Ganilau and we are also doing it for the Prime Minister. And we’re here to wish him Happy Birthday as a former Commander and a retired General for the RFMF and we do it to our Retired Generals who served as commanders of the RFMF.” -  Qiliho, on Bainimarama's 61 birthday, April 2015

Fijileaks: Stretched Patience - Is FFP dictatorial government and its extended puppet RFMF digging their lovo pits for a VIOLENT UPRISING the like of which Fiji has not witnessed in its living memory?

WAKE up Indo-Fijians: You remain second class citizen including Khaiyum
"It would also be a day of shame for FFP members  not to ask for a secret ballot. It would be a day of shame for Fijian members of Parliament of Indian origin not to have the balls to question the personal nomination of the PM. They, FFP members, are cowards, being treated with complete contempt. They are ready to be rubber stamps. Who do they represent in Parliament, not even themselves, let alone, the Fijian people. They are ready to be sycophants, to look after only themselves. These members will shamelessly allow their majority to railroad into Presidency, an evil and selfish man who derides Fijians of Indian ancestry. This enemy of  Fijian Indians is being elevated and glorified for his wiliness and wickedness. He has a thick skin and will have the gall to say he is the President for all Fijians. Even the Rotuman community are saying that George is only for George."

By an Indo-Fijian Contributor to Fijileaks

"Many Fijians, particularly Fijians of Indian origin welcomed with some euphoria, Cmdr Bainimarama's promise of a "New and Better Fiji", a "new dawn, a new beginning" and a Fiji for all. A Revolution indeed! Tuesday, 12 October will be a day of your reawakening, a rude awakening! It will be marked in history  as a black Tuesday for them when the Parliament meets to decide on our new President.

A ghost from the past, a divisive figure, and to many an individual who unashamedly promoted discriminatory practices and politics, has been nominated personally by the Prime Minister as our next President,  without consulting his sycophantic Parliamentary colleagues, to be blindly  rubber stamped by his Party. The appointment will not be by a consensus decision but voting will be on crude party political lines. No attempt has been made to find attempt a consensus by the Government with the Opposition. There appears to be no attempt by the Government to give a free vote to the members of the Parliament and by a secret ballot, to find a popular President.

The Presidency is a neutral and a  unifying symbol especially in a brittle democracy which is evolving. As with the Constitution, a highly partisan figure will be thrust upon the people of Fiji as their President by a dictatorial Government. It would be a day of shame for the "New and Better Fiji". It would also be a day of shame for FFP members  not to ask for a secret ballot. It would be a day of shame for Fijian members of Parliament of Indian origin not to have the balls to question the personal nomination of the PM. They, FFP members are cowards, being treated with complete contempt.

Even the Rotuman community are saying that George is only for George.

This man has been positioning himself to be the alternative adviser to Frank Bainimarama, to counter the influence of Aiyaz Khaiyum as the PM's chief adviser. He is on record confirming this. His main preoccupation will be to undermine Aiyaz. Kubuabola will be cheering on the sidelines.

Wake up Fijians of Indian extraction! You remain a second class citizen in your own country, even you Aiyaz.  You are dispensable. Don't fall for the mirage of equal citizenry proclaimed so shamelessly in the Constitution and put there by our bother Aiyaz. The elite iTaukei once again are laughing and they will have the last laugh."

FRANK Bainimarama, 10 October 2015: "Colonel Kalouniwai would be returning to the country and would be sent to a war college for further study as he was a candidate for the Commander’s post"

Fijileaks: On 2 November 2000 it had fallen on Pita Driti to order his soldiers at the Walu Bay naval base to "hose pipe" Bainimarama  who had defecated in his pants following the famous "cassava patch" dash as Driti and his troops had held their position during the mutiny; Shane Stevens and others had accused Bainimarama of liu muring George Speight and the group!

People waste their time expecting the dictator of Fiji to display " a spirit of goodwill" . He only pays lip service to that and all things democratic . His way remains that of the dictator that he really is : his way . All else is just a pretence of conforming to the democratic way - holding fake elections where the outcome is a foregone result. . The NFP is doing the right thing by not being a party to the farce.

And the NFP and the Opposition should abstained from Parliament altogether to exposed the lie that things democratic are happening in Fiji through this parliamentary charade.

Retirement age of average Fiji citizen = 55.

Retirement age of a Fiji Puppet = 62 Plus.

Secret voting for the Puppet President will be too much democracy.

All the old Rambo Boyz are prominently around - as Ministers and Ambassadors. This racist Georgie as the President - what a Joke!

Editor,
Before this Wedneday's release of his biography Big Blue Sky Peter Garret the former minister in the Rudd Government said in a Channel 7 Sunday Night interview that Rudd was a " megalomaniac " who treated people with " an enormous amount of contempt " and was " unpredictable ".
Peter Garret is a former musician of considerable renown with the Australian band Midnight Oil and a once committed activists for Aboriginal rights and environmental protection.
He ruled out a return to politics implying it was dirty business.
Now if someone like Kevin Rudd who won a landslide election victory to return the Australian Labour Party to power after languishing as Opposition for over 12 years can so quickly become a " megalomaniac" reminds me of the saying " why do we act like bastards when we get into power?".
Now people who follow Fiji politics via the Fijileaks would relate to this because Fiji politics has produced more than its fair share of megalomaniacs and political bastards in power.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

I wonder whether senior RFMF officers led by Qiliho, surprised former Commander RFMF, Steve Rabuka, with a birthday cake on his birthday last month (September 2015) ?

Seems only some former military Commander's are entitled to this caper.

Now Ganilau, as a former Commander RFMF, has been excised from this list. That leaves only Bainimarama and the ailing Paul Manueli who are entitled to a birthday cake.

What a farce!

And the puppet masters put in their preferred puppets as presidential candidates, no wonder why NFP doesn't want anything to do with it which is a very wise move IMO.
