this chief is the very picture of the good life the chiefs enjoy in Fiji regardless of the state of their people. Is he a high chief or a low chief?
It doesn't matter. He obviously has his hand in the pie. That's why he is for the status quo.

Not true...another blatant lie! The Turaga na Tui Macuata is merely exercising his democratic right, like you, to support the party of his choice. The Tui Macuata's party choice will in no way hinder his obligations to the Vanua - two totally separate functions. Furthermore, as to whether Ratu Wiliame is a high chief or low chief is a non-issue. It seems that you are blinded by hearsay and do not know much about the history of the Tui Macuata.

Timaima, you sound like a bright and positive spark. Please tell us what the Tui Macu knows about Vorere that we the people of Fiji do not. Secondly, please tell us how your chief can support someone who has proven time and time again that he is most untrustworthy, and an arrogant idiot who has abolished the GCC, rubbished our chiefs and allowed Khaiyum to rewrite the laws governing our lands, rights and freedoms as indigenous people. Finally, have you or the Tui Macu read Khaiyum's thesis? If not, then please do. Until you have done that, I suggest you stop defending your chief's support of the two impostors and hear what Niko Nawaikula has to say about the 17 decrees. Please enlighten all about the way this man will make chiefs landless and without a people to govern. I am confused. I am aware that most if not all the lands were alienated by a kaivalagi called Arthur Gordon, way back in the 1800's in the guise of protecting it for the natives. So the natives have been landless since those early days ,as none of you actually own any land but are mere trustees. You nor the chiefs can buy, sell, trade in these lands. The real owner of all lands native is the Native Land Trust Board and has been since the days of Ratu Sukuna

@Confused. We can walk down memory lane to trace our history. But that would be a long walk. Let's cut to the chase and get to where we are today and project the future based on what this dictator has done, shall we.

We own land, about 91% of it. That is what we have been dealing with ever since Arthur Gordon the Governor and Chairman of NLTB many years ago. As trustee, the NLTB has been helping us manage our lands for us. This will change as more of us become educated and enlightened and demand a better alternative in resource management. But it will change through proper means. This brings me to the important issue at hand and your question.

The 17 decrees written by Khaiyum, Gates, Shameem and whoever else was involved have the cumulative effect of making us native Fijians no longer able to make the critical decisions about our land and about the other important issues that distinguish us as natives/indigenous. For instance, the 2013 constitution imposed by the two people in power today effectively gives them overwhelming power to make all the most crucial decisions including or land. Read Nawaikula's paper on this or listen to his video presentation. Then study the relevant decrees, Khaiyum's thesis, 2013 constitution and other articles available. You will see the systematic demolition work done on our Fijian culture, institutions and identity.

Now to your question. As time goes on, more of our people will read these articles and documents or listen in on the presentations. They will also come to the conclusion that Khaiyum has been using this idiot Voreqe and the military to advance and materialise his thesis. To demolish our racial identity and culture and remove our privileges, ownership and control over what is rightfully ours. This will lead to questions about why is Ratu Wiliame Katonivere supporting a regime that is so obsessed with taking away our rights and our possessions in the name of equality for all? Many mayl decide to follow Ratu Wili while many will choose to go a separate way.

So our land is already out of our hands in theory and by decree, courtesy of this monkey from Pakistan. By Ratu Wili choosing to support those who have wilfully and actively worked to render us powerless over our land and qoliqoli and way of life, he will certainly lose respect and followership from his people, especially the educated and younger generations. That is what I meant in my previous posting above. I therefore urge my relative Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, to please think carefully, and act wisely. For your sake and your people and our whole native Fijian society and Rotuma and Banaban community, please review your stand and decide where to from here. Vinaka

Either that or you are one of those who have benefitted from Voreqe's crimes. Well, you can say whatever you say and do whatever you choose to do. But know that there is a GOD in heaven to whom you will answer someday. If your Voreqe your terrorist leader is a dumb and unstable fool, I can now see ho much more dumb and foolish you are and all his followers. But then again, you may be very 'smart/ people who know exactly what you are doing because of bread and butter it provides for you. So you have sold your souls to the devil, never mind right and wrong, never mind good and bad, forget about law and order. The ultimate test for people like you is: WILL THIS BRING ME MONEY, BREAD, BUTTER AND GOOD LIFE NOW?
