Water Authority of Fiji chief executive Opetaia Ravai shows an image of the 50-year-old pipe at the Waimanu Reservoir was which damaged by a landslide; another pointing to the rotten infrastructure, just like Ravai's ginger farm
The burst major sewer line in Cunningham, Suva has highlighted a need to review all essential Infrastructure

Infrastructure Minister Pio Tikoduadua says he is now directing that the Water Authority of Fiji consider alternatives for all of its aged and eroded pipes. “We’re doing a lot of catch up there’s been a lot of neglect over the years, we’re trying to correct that now that this is the measure of our commitment, we’ve dedicated our resources, building capacity, now we’re going out there now to try and fix it, so one of the areas that w’er gonna look at primarily that I have directed Water Authority to do is find me an alternative to take waste water to Kinoya so that it does’nt have to only go through Cunningham Bridge.” Tikoduadua adds that while the Cunningham incident has literally brought the issue to the surface, it’s an example he expects to see more of.
A temporary fix has been earmarked for Cunningham Bridge with the construction a Bailey bridge to be put in place

Ravai is a failed ginger farmer turned CEO of a failing Water Authority. Just look at that rusted Pipe man - Its been rusting for the last eight years ...at least?

Look at all the FatCats of the Military - getting fatter by the day. When no military was to benefit from the coup!

Look at the Bainimarama's Family - going to pick-up the AirBus in France and squandering TAX dollars, every year at the Sevens around the world.

Just look at Khaiyum's brother and Aunty and his John Prasad - getting fatter, and fatter by the Day.

And all along that poor Pipe, in the picture, in Cunningham bridge, just Rusted and Rusted and Rusted....

But Boy...that Pipe has now Busted!

when you have pathetic leadership - which is what Fiji has had since the Bainimarama takeover and the appointment of coup supporters in high public offices - shit is bound to happen and we have seen that happen again and again as evidenced in the Auditor General's report 2007 - 2013.

this Opetaia Ravai fala. how old is he? he looks like he could be Frank Bainimarama's grandfather. so why is he still employed in a government entity when so many teachers have forcibly retired at age 55?
