Fiji is only called free society but practically it's not. We have no freedom of speech. When we speak out for our rights after being physically and mentally tortured then we are simply got reed off. When is justice system in Fiji. Why these preachers of corruption free, clean & safe Fiji went to. Why PM & Minister of Public Enterprises. Good practices begins from home, so why some ministries are so filthy!

Mrs Basundra...keep your head held high. They cant keep a good man down. This is typical of the current government. They will collude to remove any straight shooter as in your case. You did the honourable thing of reporting it to the higher authorities with your recommendations but they remove you instead. Most of u are fully aware of the hopeless leadership and lousy performances of some teachers at Bhawani Dayal High School...no wonder the results have been also affected inevitably.

regardless of what the opposition says:
-> the choice of VC/DVC at FNU is the choice of the government of the day given that it is largely a govt. entity. The same applied with the PSC - fully a govt. entity and governed by the rules/regulations/policies/procedures of the govt. of the day. PSC appointments very public facing in the sense that anyone appointed to the role will always be in the limelight.

By virtue of the powers of government, it has full authority to act on any appointments within its jurisdiction. The opposition is doing its job. While wearing blinders. They oppose blindly without just cause and stating that the govt. is interfering is like saying that a shopkeeper cannot dismiss his staff for non-performance which is causing the business loss of revenue.

No doubt, the opposition was the govt. of the day, they would have probably done the same or worse as they tend to play the race card at every turn.

Oilei ganpat, tax payers contribution are administered by any govt. The opposition is questioning those decision why, a competent staff removed that raises the question which a right minded human will do. If the reasoning were due to ficac findings, than yes the decision is acceptable, but its not the case here.

There was another case at fnu, like the Basundra case where the suspension letter was issued after the resignation...is that normal? Typical fnu style of leadership where the honourable minister was part of.
@pandey, quite suprise that it is not signed by the minister, standing on the sideline..
