“We have to see whether a businessman would put his business interest before the interest of the country and we do not want that."
FFL leader and self-appointed Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama

Yet another example - exposed by FijiLeaks - of how the local business elite and the local political elite collude to con the people of their rights and inheritance. So what's really changed after Frank Bainimarama's "clean-up" coup? It's business as usual on that front, isn't it?
The con is often coated in "legal" approvals to give it the semblance of being legitimate, respectable and even for the community good.
But a con is a con just as a coup is a coup. The "clean-up' was bullshit big time.

Human decency does not necessarily come from being " a member of several non-government organisations" or by holding a "Bachelor of Commerce degree" or any degree or by being a "mayor" or even the President or Prime Minister.
It comes from doing things with honesty, integrity and ethical responsibility towards fellow citizens and society.
That is clearly lacking in the case of this man. He has obviously greased the right palms to get what he wants in pursuit of his private capitalist interest.

No businessman puts the interest of the country before his own business interest. Businessman always put their own interest first. And unscrupulous businessman will do everything they can - including bribing and greasing the palm of politicians - to advance their business interest. This Sanjit Patel fala is claerly such a business.
