Meanwhile, two FFP candidates with less than 900 votes in the 2014 general election enter Parliament under Khaiyum's D'Hondt Electoral System - he deliberately removed by-election provision to make sure FijiFirst Party majority remains the same during the life of Fiji's Parliament; Fijileaks: Opposition parties must shoulder BLAME for agreeing to partake in such skewed system - for thought they will WIN!

What about the required responses to ALL the financial deficiencies in Public Accounts and Govt. spending highlighted by the Auditor General - should we not apply the same principle of not following standard practices and suspend the whole darn lot from holding office? Another question begs; why this decision now??

No shame by these failed candidates daring to accept parliamentary roles knowing very well that there are many others with many more votes not considered. Now, how do you claim being voted in by the people into a position 'by default'. At best you should know from day one that you were rejected and others preferred. So for now just enjoy the spoils that come with your appointments for corruption also has its days and today is yours.

What A timing

Audited accounts lodged in December and findings comes in February that the Accounting firm did mot hold correct certificats

I am not a NFP supporter but this cowardly act against them only b4 30 minutes of their anouncement regarding parliament participant shows how democràtic frank government is.

Saneem, pray hard for yourself. You need it boy

Just wondering what would have led NFP to question its parliamentary participation? Did it mean totally abstaining from voting any issues raised in Parliament? That would be as good as relinquishing their seats, that would have triggered By-elections, for which there is no provision in the donkey constitution. Or were they pondering on limiting participation in the various standing committees etc. Eitheir way, it would mean they would not have done justice to those who voted them as their reps in parliament.

Well, it does not say that they been booted out of Parliament. Rather, the party has been suspended to operate as a political party in true sense. I don't think that the NFP members can be precluded from parliament under this suspension because, it does not stop the members from acting as MP's, without a political party. In other democracies, members cross the bench all the time to vote on issues thus breaking ranks with others in their party. Another example is when members break ties with their party and become independents hence remain in parliament and preserves their voting rights. I am fedup of seeing these double standards being applied by the Elections office all the time. Laws should not be applied arbitrarily, this incident should have been of the likes that would have triggered a show cause event, where notice should have been given to remedy the breach within such time, or face suspension. This is what happens when khaiyum and his unqualified goons and relatives run Fiji.

This is the Animal Farm style " true democracy " Bainimarama and Khaiyum have foisted on the people of Fiji. Rules of good governance selectively applied to opposition parties but friends of the regime exempted from the same standard of compliance. Yes, everyone has become equal in Bai- Kai's " new " Fiji but some - Bai-Kai and their cronies - are clearly more equal.
Shame on these so called " saviours " of " new " Fiji.
A grade scoundrels. That's what they are!

The Registrar of Political Parties Mhammed Saneem is a puppet on Khaiyum's string. He has been planted in this position and that other as Supervisor of Elections to do Khaiyum's bidding. No special intelligence is required to see that. It's that obvious!

AG is a control freak. Why is he such a hypocrite for not disclosing Midlife?? Why can't Saneem take him to task? Muslims all over. What was Saneem as supervisor of elections doing?? Sleeping on the job then. Why raise it now?? AG should resign.

Our Parliament is in shambles because the most corrupt regime to ever lead this Nation is rearing its ugly head without any shame. Pray folks and pray well, that Divine Intervention will put a stop to all this madness. If majority of our people have voted in those to lead the Nation, then let the people have the privelege to vote them out. When those rejected are allowed to lead, we have a great problem of identity and acceptability by the majority. Those more deserving to be in Parliament have been wronged and cheated out of it.
