Rakiraki lawyer Semi Titoko is National Federation Party’s new Acting President. Titoko will act as the President of the NFP till the party’s next AGM later this year. A lawyer who is also a National Federation Party candidate in the upcoming General Elections and another man will be produced in the Rakiraki Magistrates Court today for allegedly obtaining money by deception. The men allegedly deceptively obtained more than $120,000 from a woman’s trust account. The lawyer who is the first accused has been charged with one count of conversion and one count of money laundering. NFP candidate and lawyer Semi Titoko who is the former Acting President for NFP is the first accused and has been charged with one count of conversion and one count of money laundering. For the first count of money laundering, Titoko is alleged to have fraudulently converted more than $120,000 that was entrusted to his firm for safe custody under the victim’s trust fund to his own use and benefit sometime between July 2017 and June 2018. For the second count of money laundering, Titoko is alleged to have engaged directly or indirectly in transactions involving more than $120,000. The second accused is the law firm’s accountant who faces one count of money laundering for allegedly engaging directly or indirectly in transactions involving more than $120,000. Fijilleaks: On 12 October 2018, Prasad endorsed Titoko as NFP Candidate. Titoko was 42nd on the list of NFP's 51 Candidates for 2018 Election.
*We don't know if Titoko had declared that he was under criminal probe or if NFP had failed to carry out a background check on Titoko, for he had already swindled the Indo-Fijian woman client in September 2017.
Thankfully, the criminally bent lawyer mustered only 121 Votes

FEARED FOR HIS LIFE: In Naidu's case, the Judge who found Naidu guilty of bringing Fiji judiciary into disrepute and was going to sentence him (Naidu) has FLED to Sri Lanka. In fact, as soon as Coalition came into power, its attack dogs began singling out foreign judges for removal, and replacing them with locals.
*It was clearly designed to intimidate the JUDGE who had found Naidu guilty of scandalising the court.

*When Naidu came across the spelling mistake (Injection instead of Injunction) in the court judgment, he could have had a good laugh with his legal colleagues until he 'farted with delight; or he could have just kept it to himself, or he could, as a senior lawyer of standing, contacted the Chief Registrar and got the words corrected, and the judgment re-published on the Judiciary website.
But, No, the self-proclaimed 'Journalist Gone Mad', chose what he is best at, his Facebook account to invite the readers to ridicule the Judiciary.
