Khaiyum to Saneem: "Fiji 1st Party application was made in 2008 however no such registration was made or completed..no gazette notice was published which confirms that the Fiji 1st was never registered as a party."

FIJI 1st PARTY to Saneem: "The certificate of registration of our Fiji 1st Party under the Electoral Act 1998 should be in your office...Our Fiji First Party is/was a duly registered political party under the electoral provisions of the 1997 Constitution, having fulfilled every requirement encumbered upon us by the then Supervisor of Elections, M/S Felicity Heffernan...our party name cannot be snatched or stolen from us."

BLUE BLOODED THIEVES!

General Secretary of the now registered Fiji First Party Aiyaz Khaiyum argued objections lacked merit. What about the name he brazenly stole from Fiji Ist Party and secretly registered the domain name and e-mail account in 2009 while holding citizens down under his PER?

(a) Khaiyum said that a Fiji 1st Party application was made in 2008 however no such registration was made or completed.
(b) He said no gazette notice was published which confirms that the Fiji 1st was never registered as a party.
(c) He said that only the application of the Fiji 1st Party was published in the December 2008 gazette.
(d) He said notwithstanding the fact that the Fiji 1st Party was never registered in law as a political party, the proposed party also wishes to highlight that the name of that party is different from the name which has been proposed by the FijiFirst.
(e) He also said that the logo is also substantially different from the symbol that was contained in the application for registration by the Fiji 1st Party in 2008

WHAT DID THE ORIGINAL FIJI 1st PARTY TELL REGISTRAR SANEEM; On 7 May, Saneem had written to the Fiji 1st Party: "In accordance with section 10 (3) of the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Decree, please furnish the Fijian Elections office with the Gazette notice of the certificate of registration of your Party under the Electoral Act 1998."

FIJI 1st PARTY to Saneem: "The certificate of registration of our Fiji 1st Party under the Electoral Act 1998 should be in your office."

the registration of the Fiji First Party despite evidence to show the party name was stolen from the original name owners and other breaches of registration requirements is an official confirmation that the Supervisor of Elections is nothing but a regime hound dog.
Mr Beddoes keep up the good fight you fighting for the people of Fiji and the restoration of democracy.

Anybody surprised that the regime appointed Supervisor of Elections has accepted the registration of the regime party?
The man is just a puppet on the regime string dancing to the tune of Bainimarama and Khaiyum.
This is just the trailer. The main show is still to come : a fraudulent election.

An outright CHORI! But that was to be expected. We feel bad for you guys (Beddoes and Anit) but that's Fiji politico for you. You both have really made the point - and made it very well -Congratulations!

What has been established through this sad saga though is that the office of the Supervisor of Elections is NOT Independent. That has been proven. So let us be very clear on that.

Both Beddoes's and Anit's objections are very good objections! It could not have been so flippantly handled -where is the inquiry? and investigation - determination of facts - chance of response and reply? Nothing! -That is Anit's complaint above and understandably so.

The decision was so obviously made in advance and 'handed' down from the AG. Saneem, here really looks like the unthinking puppet that he is - a regime lackey being 'spoon-fed' by Khaiyum. This Fiji Theft saga has made it very plain.

There was no back-bone in Saneem - He is evidently not capable of the INDEPENDENT responsibility of the job he has.

Khaiyum's response is so hollow and not gospel. It is a complete racket - but like someone said it's only the trailer - the Show is yet to begin....

FijiFirst Party's General Secretary in his opposition response CONFIRMS that there was a Fiji 1st Party that "EXISTED" in 2008.

Then it is the Secretary of Proposed Fiji First makes statement on behalf of Elections Supervisor that Fiji 1st Party's objection has no merits.

Elections Supervisor has NOT said that. It means Attorney General as Secretary of Fiji First Party has CONFIRMED he is THE Elections Supervisor doing Saneem's job, but Saneem is just a number in name only as Fiji First Party's clerical staff.

I am sure John Key and SIS will be satisfied with this approach to Fiji's elections that they are funding!

What a slimy customer that Aiyaz is. How can the people of Fiji trust a political party that has as an executive, the thief Khaiyum.

Why not find your own name doce? No imagination or legal competence. That's why Bainimarama will never be trusted- because of this idiot Khaiyum. He has nothing but jealousy for Fiji 1st. We wonder why? Has that riddle been solved Editor?

If it is any consolation –there is not a single case law dealing with one political party stealing another’s name in the whole wide world of LexisNexis – forget Fiji First guys -you are World First.

Important address for sending the (first) Fiji First Objections to be registered as an ‘Intellectual Property’ case –which they may or may-not be interested in but no harm in trying.

Aiyaz learns his tricks from his Chinese masters, reknown for copyright breach(s).They are bold just like him in saying that the copied entity is not the same colour or font, hence no copyright breach !!!! question is not whether there is any case law . question is whether Bai and Kai stole the party name they are using as their own?
and, the answer is clear Yes!
which means these are dishonest people who cannot be trusted to govern the country ( they have given enough proof of that in the 8 years of their misrule by decree).
which means people should not vote for them and their Fiji Theft Party.

Bainimarama has not been charged for treason. Does that mean he did not commit treason? of course he committed treason but the police have not been able to charge him because the police too are under military rule.
just because there is no "case law" it does not mean Khaiyum and Bainimarama did not steal the Fiji First Party name from the original owners.
They stole it alright!

we read in Fijilive that the dictator said they have fully complied with the regulations governing the registration of his party.
who can contradict the dictator? the "independent" supervisor of elections? the "independent" electoral commission? the "independent" fiji judiciary? the "independent" Fiji media?
the dictator's word is the law. if he says there has been full compliance then that's it. end of Act 1. all set to proceed to Act 2 : the manipulated elections.
