JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED: As 85-year-old William Apted pleads guilty to causing the death of a four year old girl in Raiwaqa, another family is still WEEPING for Justice - Minister Bala is still at large for allegedly causing death by dangerous driving - WHY - for the Government could not find a magistrate to hear the case!

APTED PLEADS GUILTY: 85-year-old, William Apted who allegedly caused the death of a 4-year-old girl in a road accident in Suva in February last year has pleaded guilty to his charges in the Suva Magistrates Court.

Apted is charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death and two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous harm.

The four-year-old victim was walking with her family members after a church service along Varani Street in Raiwaqa, when a vehicle driven by Apted allegedly hit the family of four from the side of the road.

Former Vice President, Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi, former CEO of Fiji Rugby Union Pio Bosco Tikoisuva, businessman Iqbal Janif, and Daryl Tarte were character witnesses for Apted.

Tikoisuva said Apted cannot deliberately harm anyone as his whole family is nice and loving.

Tarte said that Apted's family comes from humble origin.

Defence lawyer Nick Barnes said that the accident has affected Apted physically and mentally as he is deeply remorseful and cannot stop thinking about the four-year-old girl who died in the accident.

Barnes told the court that Apted pleaded guilty at the earliest possible opportunity.

He has asked for a minimum suspended sentence.

Shameless scoundrels do not need to hide. They have no shame. They can go about in public pretending they are honest men simply doing what they are required to do for the good of the nation.
The public rental board chairman falla Narendra Prasad is not hiding in NZ. He is enjoying his ill- gotten money from the Fijian dictatorship in NZ without any fear of the law getting hold of him .

In a true democracy the com pol and the anti- corruption body are independent. They carry out their function without fear and favour.
Fiji is not a true democracy . It had a phony election and there is a pretence of the restoration of democracy. In reality the dictatorship of Bai- Kai lives on and the com pol and anti- corruption gang remain the hand maiden of the regime just as they were before. They'd shit their pants if they were to go after any of the thug rulers or their cronies!

Is this what our education system has become? Teachers are taught child psychology and how to behave/treat children - what has happened here should raise a heck of a lot of questions about the sought of people we're allowing into the education system to teach our children

William Apted pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity because he is a decent human being with a conscience .
Minister Praveen Bala has been dodging the law with the help of his mate the attorney general Khaiyum because the man has no human decency to admit his wrongdoing . He is a man with a defective conscience. And yet he is an " honourable " minister!
