PARATHA POLITICS: USP VC Rajesh Chandra to Dr Dilawar Grewal: "If you want to continue eating your paratha at Dr Gurmeet Singh's house, I will not renew your contract, for Gurmeet is conduit to Dr Biman Prasad."

Fijileaks: We have said it before, and we repeat: the 2006 coup has been seized by Indo-Fijian racists, bigots, opportunists, tax dodgers, unionists, and hangers-on to line up their wallets. Dual citizenship was another route to loot Fiji post-2006; some even drafted new positions to sit in air-conditioned offices in overseas missions. They are a DISGRACE to everything we stood up for after Sitiveni Rabuka's 1987 coups!
Who says COUPS don't pay in Fiji?
This time the LOOTERS are Indo-Fijians, enriching through the guns, and PERSECUTING their very own in the name of EQUALITY

Is this for real! Where else would such a racist, sick, dumb ass of a VC would still be in his office after making such comments. This is so unethical. And for sure he will preach about his ethics, transparency, equality and all at every incidence he gets!

Hahaha paratha politics at usp and vc Rajesh Chandra confirmed to be a small minded bigot not fit head institution like USP.

The paratha graphics is very creative and outstanding Victor, reminiscent of the circus usp has become under master clown Rajesh Chandra. What a laughing stock.

Stop being silly Pule!

Some people on this site think that Rajesh should be appointed PS for Foreign Affairs!

Just see Pita's posting.

Do you agree that Rajesh should be PS for Foreign Affairs?

I agree fully with what Fijileaks says about the spineless, gutless, greedy Indo-Fijians who have climbed onto the Khaiyum- Bainimarama coup gravy train for their own selfish gains ( positions and paisa ) and self- aggrandisement . They are a shameless lot with no moral integrity and fibre.
When you look at this chamchagiri kind it's not hard to see how the British colonialists were able to manipulate them, use them to maintain their oppressive colonial rule.
It's the kind of people who would do anything to promote their own selfish interest and status regardless of the damage to the public interest. It's the I'm OK Jack kind.

This just confirms what we said about Rajesh. A small minded selfish and cunning man. How he ever became VC of USP has always bothered me. But to have such a person continue in such a very strategic and most vital position for our Pacific island nations is even more concerning. It just goes to show how seriously Fiji has been affected by the military coups and how this cancer has affected our region at its most critical decision-making bodies such as the USP, Forum Sec, FSM, etc. The sooner we destroy this cancer, the better for Fiji and our island neighbours.

Editor,
Wrong People in Leadership
Here is an extract from BBC's Illyas Khan's article ' Panama Papers and Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif ' ( April 21) that Fiji politics and Fijileaks followers will find illuminating.
The Panama leaks feature Nawaz Sharif's family and that is not surprising because corruption allegations have dogged the Pakistani PM from the 1980s.
" What does all this say about Pakistan democracy?
Pakistan's vacillation between democracy and military rule has prevented the state from evolving an independent system of accountability.
Successive military rulers used corruption and accountability to target opposition politicians. General Zia ul-Haq's rule during the 1980s took the matter a step further by Raising A Whole New Breed of Politicians And Setting Up Financial Procedures That Made Misappropriating Government Funds Almost Acceptable ( my emphasis).
In a society where family and tribal links determine the distribution of jobs and official patronage, political corruption has not taken long to spread.
Politicians complain that they have remained the only target of campaign against corruption while the military and the judiciary remain outside purview.
The military and the judiciary insist they have their own separate system of internal accountability and do not need governmental controls. Both have colluded in the past to oust politicians from power, but have abstained from calling each other's actions into question.
There have been instances were retired military officers accused of embezzlement in the civilian sphere have been co-opted back into the military to prevent them from being tried under the mainstream laws.
More recently, a sitting Chief Justice was accused of receiving perks from a real estate tycoon, and at least two judges, one of them now retired, have been named in the Panama Papers as owning offshore companies.
In these circumstances, as Pakistan stumbles from one phase of confusion into another, democracy, rule of law, and real accountability have become cliches with a negative connotation".
Notice the parallels with our own circumstances following our own vacillation between democracy and military rule?
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

The Indo-Fijian scumbags who aligned themselves to the Bainimarama-Khaiyum coupist regime to benefit themselves include Madrasis, Gujis, Punjabis, Musalmanis, Biharis with Muslims over represented vis a vis their population size in Fiji.

Please do not reveal your lack of class and oafishness here. Go back to your uniformed and mindless follow-the-leader barracks environment. Have you ever heard of Satyre or allegory as a writing method? As you are obviously clueless on these matters let me enlighten you. Statyre is used to poke fun at powerful people and institutions. The list I provided were of all regime lackeys with Rajesh Chandra being one of them. Bavulu

OMG! This is a classic case of employers overbearing on employees personal lives. Let alone time (to answer emails & phone calls after hours/weekends/leave days), now it seems some even go to the extent of restricting friendships & religious bonds.
The trio must have become friends during their time together at USP, and have continued their friendship through the years.
What if Dr Singh's wife is related to Dr Grewal, is she going to suffer as well! Also, are the 2 guys supposed to avoid each other at worship gatherings & around the grog bowl!
Where are the unions & the outspoken lawyers? I see human rights violations here!!

Union rep? AKA Govinda Lingam?

Govinda is too busy maneuvering Rajesh Chandra's ling in his own mouth to bother. Please let him be.
