The South African diplomat's alcohol level was a staggering 111 per cent and at the time of the fatal collision he was speeding at 200kmph: POLICE It is nearly two weeks since the grieving family of Ashneel Singh wrote to Frank Bainimarama's office asking for a meeting with Fiji's gallivanting Prime Minister.

Look Fiji's pretend democratic PM Bainimarama has no real time for the ordinary people of Fiji although he like the true dictator he is demands that he be regarded " a man of the people" , a Dear Leader! And all that!, And, even elements of the local mainstream media propagate that pretence, the lie.

The reality of the situation is that there are two set of laws in Fiji, one for the rich and elite and another for the poor. Diplomatic immunity should only apply in cases of political persecution. In this case, the South African was negligent and should be punished for taking the life of an innocent young man. The commissioner of police should also be sacked as his loyalties still lie with his home country while getting paid by Fijian taxpayers. He has been a waste of taxpayers money and resources. The people who bashed up the diplomat should be pardoned as if he can't be prosecuted, so should people who harm them. Justice has been denied which shows that indo-Fijian lives are worthless in Fiji under the bainimarama regime.

Did Qarase meet very accident victims family during his term? Did Ratu Mara meet every accident victim during his term? The questions asked can be answered by the family themselves if the google what diplomatic immunity entails rather than their dramatic antics by trying to score cheep political points with you Victor Lal.

Partying and collecting paisa from his fans is more important to the new Messiah of Fiji than meeting with grieving families with no paisa!

Did a Diplomat ever under the influence of alcohol and driving at a high speed run over another car killing a young man?Did the Police Commissioner ever interfered in a a Police Investigation on the grounds of "Diplomatic Immunity" to free a suspect?Did a Diplomat ever flee to his country (South Africa) soon after killing a young person by running him down on a road? The Diplomat has surely made a good use of his Diplomatic Immunity leaving behind a grieving family and a young life lost.He has no value for human life, and his immunity must not be used as a defense even before he is being charged,He should be hauled in to the court to answer charges.Diplomatic Immunity does not mean you can kill and flee to your country any time you wish to.

On victor lal's website, Bainimarama and bigoted minister Khaiyum shall be blamed for everything (including the international provision of diplomatic immunity). This is the sort of reporting that takes the credibility away from a otherwise useful blog. Fijileaks would be of more use to Fijians if it became a balanced news site rather tang a vindictive one, with a clear political agenda.

For a " balanced news site " of the kind you favour go to the Fiji Sun.

Chiku, the Fiji Sun is one extreme...this site is another. Both of them don't care for balanced reporting. Therefore, if one blames another of unfair reporting, that's hypocrisy of the highest order. Hence, both news sources don't have credibility.

Hypocrite, drawing parrallels between the Fiji Sun and Fijileaks as " extreme" news sites is a case of making a false analogy. The Fiji Sun had and still has a clear and shameless political agenda which is to act as the propaganda media arm of the Bainimarama regime.balanced reporting is therefore conspicuous by its absence in the Fiji Sun. The Fiji Sun therefore doesn't have any credibility .

We may scream and jump or bainimarama meets with the deceased family won't bring him back or serve any purpose. What our government should do is demand compensation from the SA govt to the tune of $10,000,000.00 to be given to the family.

If only Frankie demanded compensation on behalf of the distraught family from the South African government since their diplomat has immunity from prosecution. Diplomatic immunity, even if it means getting blood on your hands is horrendous. Looks like Frankie cares more about spending time with the elite than with the ordinary people, especially those who lost a loved one due to negligence of an envoy.

Look a great nation like Mandela's South Africa will not be sending its best and brightest to a banana republic like Fiji , will it?
