PENANG SUGAR MILL and George Shiu Raj offer to buy it out. But did he once cheat farmers in the Ra province of their sugarcane earnings by offering them loans - in 2005, the FLP accused him of cheating farmers!

George Shiu Raj is a conman. He has tricked many by giving out "loans" to them and later confiscating their properties.
The latest rumor is when he bought the Rupam Cinema building from A R Dosoo and had them sign the documents on a much bigger amount but only paid them so much less. Request Fijileaks to make inquiry into this allegation please.
He would rob the farmers of their livelihood if he buys the mill. This should never be allowed to happen.

Editor,
Disgraced Politician
Bronwyn Bishop the disgraced former Speaker of the Australian Parliament ( who was forced to resign reluctantly because of her dodgy travel expenses claims ) now claims her dodgy travel claims " had nothing to do with greed " ( 7 News 30/3 ).
I wonder how many people believe that ?
One has to be an intellectual imbecile to believe that nonsense from the disgraced ex- speaker.
Greed gets the better of many politicians. Bishop is not alone in succumbing to greed whilst in political office.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu.

We have quite a few Bronwyn Bishops of our own in Fiji politics.
They can't help themselves from helping themselves from public funds.

Editor,
Corrupt Politicians
We learn from the Yahoo! 7 News article ' Brazilian ex- speaker sentenced to 15 years for corruption ' ( March 31 ) that Eduardo Cunha the once powerful speaker who spearheaded the impeachment of leftist president Dilma Rousseff was sentenced Thursday to more than 15 years in prison for corruption.
According to analysts, Cunha triggered the impeachment of Rousseff - after a long period of merely threatening to make the move - in order to stave off his own legal problems. In other words to save his own arse!
The sentence imposed by top anti-corruption judge Sergio Moro was a landmark for the country's battle against rampant, high level graft.
Widely hated by Brazilians, Cunha earned a reputation as the ultimate master of dark political arts and was dubbed Brazil's Frank Underwood - the scheming, corrupt anti-hero of the hit Netflix series " House of Cards " about a US politician - Symbol of Rot!
Sounds familiar?
This Machiavellian political ploy of triggering the removal of a political leader to save one's own arse.
Do we have any Fijian Frank Underwood?
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu
