Good idea but NFP already out .we dont need nfp bec they gave birth to Khaiyum .
FLP/SODELPA should joint hands and win hands down long as the election is not rigged by the regime thugs.

Rajesh,

We are where we are because Mahendra Chaudhry and his FLP supported Frank immediately and before the coup. If Mahend had taken to protesting against the coup, we might not have heard of Khaiyum. And that applies to Felix Anthony and now his Peoples Democratic Party. So stop blaming NFP, you idiot!

Good idea. The illegal & treasonous regimes intentions are clear and political parties need to rally together NOT in acquiescence to their treasonous constifusion but to show that the elections will neither be free or fair, nor transparent.

This is not the time for political naivete. We all know and/or suspect what the outcomes will be -- we just need to prove it.

Hopefully the NFP can snap out of their stupour and reconsider their stance. PDP is perhaps a lost cause.

Victor is right on the spot.
Election will be rigged and its illegal like the BKC.
Political Parties should boycott the BKC/Election now bec it wont be free/fair and legal .
We cant boycott and protest after the illegal 2014 election under BKC.
Election is only legal /free/fair under legal 1997 Constitution .

With Elections 9 months away we must be on our guard and monitor each step the regime takes along the election timeline. We
have so far forcibly acquiesced to every autocratically enforced electoral process beginning with the self imposed constitution however undemocratically drafted and passed it was. It is very suspect how these criminal thugs work and from our past experience they don't give us any reason to trust them at all. First and foremost bai still hasn't formed a party even though he had made very stringent demands on the others forming one. So just be very wary of each step they make and flag up any tricks the regime may come up with as all indications are they on desperate survival mode. Anything less than victory for the regime spells doom for them.

Commander has shortlist

Commodore Bainimarama set to release name of successor

By MAIKA BOLATIKI

The Prime Minister and Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) is expected to soon release the name of his successor as RFMF commander.
Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama told the Fiji Sun after the Force Christmas Service at Tuvasu Hall, Nabua, that he had “shortlisted the names of candidates.”
The Prime Minister has publicly announced that he would be contesting next year’s general election.
For that to happen he said he had to form a political party and tender his resignation as commander as required under the new Constitution.
This is expected to be done in the first quarter of 2014.
The new Constitution has clearly stipulated the role of the RFMF and its Commander.
Section 31 (2) specifies the role of the RFMF and it says – ”It shall be the overall responsibility of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces to ensure at all times the security, defence and well-being of Fiji and all Fijians.
Section 31 (5) is on the powers of the Commander and it says – “The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces has the following powers in relation to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces for all ranks, members and other employees of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces –
a) to appoint persons to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces;
b) to remove persons from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces; and
c) to take disciplinary action against persons in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
Commodore Bainimarama said the RFMF now plays a major role in safeguarding the Constitution because it embodied everything they had stood for since the 2006 takeover and launching of reforms.
He urged the members of the army and the navy to help make the election and the transition of power to Fiji’s first truly democratic government successful.

Rajesh,

I have never seen a more stupid politican than you. The truth is FLP with MPC supported the coup. Victor can tell you that MPC actually wrote a 42 page doc telling FB to do the coup with a range of reasons. He than openly supported the FB govt after coup with his FLP politicans.

Why are you blaming NFP. I don't support NFP but people like attar have been against the IG from day one.

If you want to fight for fiji come home otherwise stop putting your stupid and racist comments.

Apart from NFP, how many FLP and SDL are with the current Govt?

You joined or supported them.
Minister for home affairs was a SDL minister
Ratu inoke was a svt minister
And the list goes on
But you sit in akl trying to butter both sides of the bread

You back stabbed LQ
