PONGA ARTIST - FIJI50 POSTMAN FAT: FFP and Post Fiji commissioned an Indo-Fijian ponga artist who makes statutes of Indian deities to give us 'Fiji's Postman Pat'. They should have asked their donor Peter Rankin

On 6 March 2017, RANKIN donated $10,000. Receipt No: 1098, although we don't know who from FFP accepted his donation, and his name on the list is spelt as RANKING. A year later, on 2 October 2018, he donated another $10,000. Total: $20,000. There is no evidence of any receipt issued nor who at FFP received his donation. As we pointed out, both Law[e]rence Tikaram, the Post Fiji Board Chairman and Manjula Dayal, Board Director, donated $10,000 each to the FijiFirst Party in 2018 and 2014. Meanwhile, the poor PONGA ARTIST's short-lived 'Postman Fat' was quietly removed and dumped at the Suva City Council Samabula depot. A few days earlier, Bainimarama had done the ponga artist proud by unveiling the statute in the heart of Suva.
