The abuse, the profanities against a critic of Bainimarama and Khaiyum and their regime is not surprising. There is documentary evidence of that when Bainimarama hurled abuse and threats against the Catholic padre Fr Kevin Barr. Now this low life abuse and threats directed at Victor Lal from the " attorney general's chambers " comes as no surprise. These are birds of the same feather. That's why they are so thick together. To think people like these are national leaders - it's a national disgrace!

A cousin of mine has had a Down Syndrome child. She is a single mum who has dedicated the past 24 years of her life in the total, unconditional love and care of her daughter. Her daughter notwithstanding her condition is the most loving and caring person one can come across. One of her favourite expressions is " share, share ".
As someone who has worked as a social worker in Fiji for over two decades I can tell you there are countless number of mothers looking after their child or children with disabilities with absolute love and care and very little State support.
The abusive email above is not an attack on Victor Lal . It is an attack on all mothers who have dedicated their lives to their children, no matter whether they are pretty or ugly..
Shame on the producer of that email whoever the fuck he is!

Well said Rajend - that abusive and abhorrent email about the late Victor Lal's mom (may her soul always rest in peace!!) is a direct and immediate assault on all mothers.

Your mother, Victor's late mom, my mother and all other mothers are ALL THE SAME and for anyone to hail such gutter level obscenity to them trashers the very bond that exists between mothers and their children, regardless of their race, religion, colour or breed. That's even true for the animal kingdom.

To Victor Lal, I offer my sincerest apology and hope that whoever wrote that offensive email will, if he really fears God, similarly apologise and seek your forgiveness. It is not too late to repent.

Well, this is how low this lowly individual has brought our honoured house of Parliament to. Monkey acting, hoping to scare off other chimps with elaborate displays of territorial defence - very, very disgusting. This is the color of parliamentary debate that the children of this country are seeing and learning. What's worse, all the so-called Ministers were laughing! The Minister of Lands was almost jumping out of her chair - an example of parliamentary decorum and status for indigenous Fijian women of this country?? Disgusting!! Sorry, baini, you have become just as lowly. I like Rosy Akbar in her restraint and care in how she had reacted, at least. And in all that, the Speaker, instead of bringing some order and sense into the meeting she was supposedly chairing, simply laughed it off as an 'ice breaker'. Seriously?? Is this the new Fiji that they so often promote?? Sad, sad, sad. I can only hang my head in SHAME.... To the children of Fiji, speak up now; for your future is being shaped right before your very eyes....

I am wondering how sick that person is? FFP is full of perverts they can rape their own mother. I wonder why the human rights are not saying anything including FWCC and womens minister Rozy Akbar. No respect for mothers yet they celebrate mothers day what a double face people in FFP and monkey ministers chambers.

The accusation that Victor Lal is a " pathetic Indian pretending to be a British " is better applied to many Indians especially Indo- Fijian politicians wearing three piece suits and all that and living in Fiji !
Victor I gather lives in England and it is only natural and even socially desirable that he should adopt and embrace British mannerisms and British ways without forgetting his roots. Many very prominent people from the Commonwealth countries living in Britain have done that. The Nobel Literature laureate VS Naipaul comes readily to mind.
Many Kaivalagis who take up residence in Fiji after the coup pretend they are as Fijian as the native Fijians wearing sulus and eating with their hands and impregnating local girls. And we applaud these Kaivalagis for going native!
