You can no longer read the following below - for the regime's propaganda ragsheet THE FIJI SUN has removed all my published writings, stretching several years, from its website:

Instead, it allows its blatantly biased propagandist reporter and FijiFirst Party free chow regular to attack me in its rag sheet:

Digressing, yet Fiji Sun's Clueless Wireless reporter through sheer incompetence or deliberate omission, is not telling Fiji Sun readers that the wife of the paper's training editor and my former journalist colleague from the 1980s, Nemani Delaibatiki, is openly campaigning for SODELPA: "By the way Nemani Delaibatiki's wife is from Ra and is campaigning for Sodelpa. She told her husband so. She publicly made the statement on a street corner. Koto Vakarewakobau - Ratu Meli Vakarewakobu - a previous Asst Police Commissioner, witnessed it."

However, I found the first of the eight-part series that I had written on why the Fiji High Court, then led by Justice Anthony Gates (another old friend) was wrong in ruling that the late President Ratu Josefa Illoilo was right in appointing Frank Bainimarama as Prime Minister - an argument of mine that was later endorsed by the Fiji Court of Appeal, resulting in Aiyaz Khaiyum abrogating the 1997 Constitution: http://solivakasama.wordpress.com/2008/11/02/victor-lal-on-creative-misuse-of-presidential-prerogative-powers-part-1/

In the same opinion piece, I had disclosed how Bainimarama and his violent military henchmen had forcibly and illegally confined the deposed Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase on Mavana:

It can be translated as follows: “_______________, what else are you people doing there? Tell that son of his mother’s vagina (referring to the then Prime Minister, Mr Laisenia Qarase) to shut his mouth or I’ll come down there and drag him by the neck so that he can fuck-off to his village. Do you people want to be beaten up? You people fuck each other, your time is over. Tell that person (again referring to Mr Qarase) to shut his mouth or I’ll come down to shut it for him.” Because of the din at that location, I had to go to a quieter place outside the ‘vakatunuloa’ where I could hear the Commander better. NO CASE FILED AGAINST QARASE: POLICE

Fiji's Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald confirms there is no case registered in his institution to warrant the arrest of former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase. Groenewald’s comments and reassurance comes in light of a statement released by the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) where the party talked about reports of Qarase’s possible arrest upon his return from America and party officials requested him to remain overseas. Released on September 4, the statement numbered 25 quotes Ro Teimumu saying “We do not wish him to come to any further harm or unfair treatment at the hands of this regime as he has already been persecuted and has served his sentence in prison under highly questionable circumstances, we do not want him to face a similar fate again.” Today Commissioner Groenewald said “I can confirm that there is no criminal case registered within the Fiji Police Force against Mr Qarase which would warrant his arrest upon his return.” Meanwhile the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has also denied claims that they are conducting investigations regarding Qarase. “FICAC denies this statement based on misconceived information.” Read more at: http://fijilive.com/news/2014/09/no-case-filed-against-qarase-police/58850.Fijilive

Victor, you will always remain a towering giant in Fijian journalism compared to the Fiji Sun pygmy journalists - they will never match you in their lifetimes.

THAT PILOT WHO DIDN'T

It is always amusing to hear THIRD PARTY STORIES ...SINCE, I was the person who was requested by another to accommodate Qarase's retreat on that fateful 7th December to Vanuabalavu, but I being cautious, sent a more junior pilot on that mission,He was a Major in the army in 2006, but interestingly enough Qarase did not show up even though I organised a perfect security arrangement for the PM Qarase and discovered that he had trouble finding a clear passage to the airport in Nausori, spending that night in Sawani at his bodyguard's brother's home(our head of finance at AIR FIJI).He did fly with us the next day, and I discovered after that flight ,that his bodyguard had left his VHF communication hand- held on our aircraft, which to this day has not been found. Amusing is how I would describe that day that the ARMY still claims credit for. IF I HAD NOT ORGANISED QARASE'S FLIGHT THAT DAY, HE WOULD BE DEAD TODAY AND SOMEDAY I WILL TELL HIM OF HIS "MIRACULOUS ESCAPE".If only he knew how miraculous it was for me not to fly him to Vanuabalavu that fateful day because I would be dead today had I flown him to his Island...ONE DAY WE WILL FIND OUT...ONE DAY !!!

Frank Bainimarama is a crude, vulgar, uncouth and brutal tyrant who is going around pretending he is a man of the people - a much loved democratic leader and Fiji Sun propaganda journalist like Jyoci Pratibha is helping the tyrant project that image. No matter how much Jyoti Pratibha and her fellow media propagandists in Fiji and elsewhere try to pretend Frank Bainimarama is the Emperor with the Golden Garment and to sign his praise the naked truth about the tyrant's true character cannot be hidden as long as we have honest journalists like Victor Lal.

No real need to labour the point that frank bainimarama is a violent thug ruler who grabbed power forcefully and unlawfully. That is well known to all who know him well. But it's good of Victor Lal to provide a well reasoned explanation of what this thug ruler and his henchmen have been about to help remove any doubts anybody might have of what kind of megalomaniacs the people of fiji are up against.
