The 1987 Coups was so profitable for Racist Rabuka that he even has become a MONEY LENDER. And the two men Bainimarama-Khaiyum act have stepped in his COUP SHOES. One despairs when one looks around for a person who genuinely has Fiji and its people at heart. Even Mahendra Chaudhry stands convicted of hiding $2million from Indo-Fijians in Australian bank. Talking of coups, even he "benefitted" from the 2000 Speight coup, for he claims India had given him the $2million so he and his family could relocate to Australia. He is still living in Fiji. Now, he is pondering whether to contest the 2022 general election. Please, go back into your bank bolt. After the 2006 COUP, he had become Frank Bainimarama's Interim Finance Minister
The deposed Prime Minister Timoci Bavadra to the United Nations Committee For The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, 9 September 1988:
"Persecution of the Indian [Indo-Fijian] community by the security forces has been so extreme that Indian families have been forced to seek sanctuary in other countries. Their mass exodus has meant a loss to Fiji of some of the country's most skilled and productive citizens, to say nothing of these citizens of their right to remain in the country of their birth. The future situation is unlikely to improve. The recently introduced Internal Security Decree, based on the Malaysian and Singapore models, has been used to extend the mass repression of ethnic Indians. Introduced under the pretext of rooting out suspected insurgents against the present regime, following the discovery of illegal arms shipment into Fiji, the Decree is demonstrably aimed at broadening and entrenching the powers of the security forces over Fiji citizens. It deals mostly with non-arms issues and empowers the police and military to arrest, search and detain people indefintiely on suspicion of a range of offences including possession of 'subversive' publications or materials. Persons detained since the Decree came into effect have overwhelmingly been from the Indian community..."
Lynda Tabuya said Rabuka and her will make a formidable team going into the 2022 election. “Nasinu feels that this will be a good combination – to have him lead and have myself to complement him because he has already gained traction from the 2018 election. He has appealed to the older generation and the vanua-based and if I were to come in as his deputy, I would be targeting the urban vote." Tabuya said the party’s biggest constituency had also made a “calculated decision to see balance between the young and the old leading the party forward”.
The Sitiveni Rabuka - Lynda Tabuya 'Dream Ticket' for November SODELPA leadership election must wake up everyone who think that this MAN has put his PAST TO SLEEP. As our founding Editor-in-Chief, who was implicated in the 40 ton shipment of arms to Fiji resulting in that Internal Security Decree, told Niko Nawaikula recently:
'You can mouth your indigenous rights nonsense as much as you like but we will remain a barrier to your aspirations. For like the JEWS, never again in Fiji, we will allow bogus nationalists like you to come to power. Fiji is crying out for a leader in the mould of Dr Timoci Bavadra, who made the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of the principles of multiracialism, democracy, social justice, and peace.' If only Nawaikula and his indigenous rights foot soldiers spent their time and energy to try and locate the FNFP and Fiji Airways annual reports which Khaiyum is HIDING, we will have some modicum of respect for him. On 15 March 2018 when he queried Khaiyum about Waqavuka Finance, Khaiyum answered, "Hon Nawaikula as a lawyer should go do his search in the.companies office to discover Air Pacific is majority shareholder & the overseas interests are there to meet funding requirements."
Khaiyum was SPOT ON, and put Nawaikula in his deserved place. But no, he spends all his time trying to play the Indigenous Vote Card!
Nawaikula's BARK must have the BITE
During the 1982 elections, one trade unionist by the name of Joveci Gavoka had likened Indo-Fijians to DOGS, "At least dogs wag their tail in appreciation, but Indians were worse than DOGS."
SPOT ON: Niko with his pat dog Spotty. Thousands of Indo-Fijians had to abandon their pet dogs, cats, chickens, and cane fields as they fled the violent racist, nationalist, and bogus indigenous rights thugs after the 1987 and 2000 coups in Fiji. No wonder FFP got Indo-Fijian VOTES!
If we follow the road to COUPS, all three - Sitiveni Rabuka, George Speight, and Frank Bainimarama - exploited the Indigenous Rights slogan to execute their coups. In Bainimarama's case, he claims Fiji belongs to ALL but in reality it belongs to Bainimarama-Khaiyum. Just look at how Khaiyum is emptying FNPF coffers, as if its his family money
